  • We are making fist ever Non-Stop Fairy Lamp in this video. We decided to change it's name as Non Stop Fairy Lamp instead of Lava Lamp because there is nothing like this made before. Nothing to worry, it's simple. We are using simple science in this project. Feel free to try at home or use it for your school project or as science experiment.

This came out great! One thing I would do differently is instead of using batteries I would put a usb plug and that way you don’t have to worry about tipping it to change batteries. You would be adding a half volt and that’s ok as long as the amperage isn’t to high. So if you power it with usb from the wall just make sure your brick has no more than 300ma that should be good. (I did not do the actual math this is an estimate) I’m gonna try to build this on the weekend I love this idea!

Awesome!!! Been looking for this tutorial on RUclips. I wanna make a huge lava lamp in place of a floor lamp, maybe 5 ft tall to sit in the corner of my room. I have a question. Can I make two large holes on the lid of the vase instead of a bunch of small holes? I want to make fewer larger bubbles instead of many small ones.

Find a material for tube that disappears in the liquid and you will have a great product. Something to do with refractive index.
