    In this two-part “Hey Joe” guitar lesson series, I will show you how to play this classic Jimi Hendrix song note-for-note.
    “Hey Joe” was his first single and was truly the song that introduced the great Jimi Hendrix to the world and the rest is history.
    In the first video lesson will demonstrate how to play the intro and the chords of the song. It is also a little lesson on how to play Hendrix style chord playing and to create your own chord variations just like he does. It makes for some really beautiful stuff.
    In the second lesson video I will show you note-for-note how to play Jimi’s killer guitar solo.
    Enjoy!
    Carl…

    Hey Joe, Jimmy. A lot of people are teaching the song and the solo, it's great to improve, one of my favorite songs. I have been playing a long time. Now I am learning solos, I like to thank all of the people, that is teaching solos. It's helping me a lot.

    Hello Carl,
    Excellent lesson. You make it look easy.
    How do you get the Hendrix sound? What kind of amp and pedals are you using?
    Best regards

    • @jamesjackson2008
      @jamesjackson2008 4 года назад +1

      There's several theories, but showed to me by an old guy in his 80's. Had a similar set up. An old fender 2x10 vac-tube amp. (Had to warm up first). A wah pedal that had a certain resistor in the variable switch that was "fried". And the reverb setting at about 1/3. It had an auditorium sound. Played off the middle / neck pick-ups. *hope it helps
      There was something about the amp, connections, guitar (all old equipment) that there was a back ground static sound that sounded like a light rain falling.

    You give great lessons. I like that you dont spell out each note on the chord . alot of jazz lessons have the instructor spelling out how to make a G major7. If you dont know how to make a G M7 your not ready to play jazz. Your lessons are very good straight to the point it doesnt open with a 5 minute solo then 10 minutes of explaining chord theory for tw.o shapes. Mental masturbation durring lessons sucks
