- Sally Eason, of Sunburst Trout Farms, discusses the challenges of raising trout amid rising temperatures and other climate-related environmental disturbances.

A quick internet search shows that the average temps in Waynesville, NC were HIGHER ten years ago than they are this year, last year, and the 5 years before. They were even higher than that 25 years ago. There have been days in the 90s in Waynesville EVERY SINGLE YEAR since they started keeping records.
Shh🤫..these climate change nuts don't like facts!
Thank you, Sally. Keep up the good work everyone..
Yes keep up the good work!
Dang, all this taught me for building a fish farm is not to follow her design/practices. I know very little about aquaculture but you would think a waterfall that size would reduce the raceways down to around 50 degrees.
Very beautiful place
Very nice you are great 👍👍🌹🌹🌹
Mam u are an inspiration 🙏🤟
Hi where are you located, please?
Hi I have started trout fingerling around 100000 there are suddenly some of them dying.can you guide me about this issue and plz guide me for feed.

Just appreciate the environment the waterfall and the place as it is impossible for some

Why can't they just use the Earth and do geocool for these trouts? Dig cooling pipes so the water can be stable year around?

Thanks for the lecture. 🙄
Easy to farm cold water species but little difficult in spawning.
What other cold water fish aside from the various trout and salmon are farmed?
i love fishery how i can join your farm ?
Hi. How to cantant him I like your fishs form I also trout fishing form can you help me
Tons of emotion and very little facts. We create quality trout habitat that allows them to survive over 82 degrees F.
I seriously doubt you are able to keep rainbow trout alive at that temperature, especially in large numbers that you have in farming situations.
@@jimanderson8851 ...It's not the temperature, directly. It's oxygen saturation levels. Warmer water absorbs less. She has created an ARTIFICIAL habitat. She needs to put up shade cloth and install aerators. Trout farms, actually hatcheries, in SoCal, face temps in the hundreds REGULARLY and for extended periods of time. Her facility is old and poorly maintained.
@@andyfletcher3561 If she is a typical liberal she would believe the Government should supply those items.
@@JohnDc There you go- inject politics into the conversation. If she supported Trump, her fish would be better off, right? Shithead. The farm was built using the technology of the time. There was no need for extreme temperature tolerance.
maybe you could cool and aeriate the water. like long piping underground
cools the water nicely
very nice sister god bless you🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰

What crap, I’ve got rainbow trout and they’re easy to raise, and they don’t die at 23°, they start dying at 27°.

I came here for the fish, not a lecture. I'm out.
