This film is so nostalgic I had it on VHS like 9 or 10 years ago and I watched it all the time thank you for the re-upload of this god tear film the plot is so amazing and this film is so story driven
You know despite the fact that Zelda is my favorite Nintendo game and Link is my favorite Nintendo character I have to say that this is probably the only nintendo animation that I know of that is bearable to watch. I love the Donkey Kong show and this movie, I have literally watched this movie more than 100 times at least. If not then close enough to it. Thank you very much for uploading and I must say I am surprised how this film was never taken down.
This movie is the best cinematic masterpiece of the century. No movie will ever come close to overthroning the detail, creativity, heart and soul put into this film. The storyline is the most phenominal piece of literature known to man. This movie is often misunderstood as a mere kids film. This is false however, as the true intelligence required to comprehend and disect the story ark and character devolopment is unmatched by anyone other than Einstein himself. Donkey is the most deep and complex character of any movie I have ever watched. He is so powerful and smart that he plays dumb as it amuses him to mess with the small minds of mere mortals. At 47:33 it is subtly showcased that Donkey Kong has not lost his memory, but is simply playing a practical joke on the all of monke kind. The lore of this movie is too instense for mere humans like us to understand. Even I myself have had trouble understanding the true meaning and purpose in life, however this movie has shown me how to value magic coconuts. After watching this movie, I became rich and I am one of the most wisdom filled human beings. You too can watch this movie to become a superior part of the human race. The soundtrack to this movie is legendary, and I often perform it's songs at church or while meditating. This movie shall forever be remembered as one of if not the most perfect and outstanding piece of art created during all of human kind.
Yes, this movie is underrated and is honestly the best film that has ever been set upon my eyes. One misconception is that Donkey Kong's model has been reused and slightly altered to fit other buff monke characters. This is untrue however, as it is simply Donkey Kong moving at mach 9000 which is too fast for any eye to comprehend. This means that Donkey Kong is moving so fast that he is able to act as someone he is not and to fool all of life. He moves so fast, that he can even play as multiple personas at the same time. This is one example of how Donkey Kong's character is unmatched in terms of power and intelligence. Donkey Kong can easily defeat Goku in the blink of an eye with his signature "Banana Smaller" technique. Therefore, Donkey Kong is one of the best designed characters of any film.
@@MrMr-oj7hl I understand my mistake, I will ensure to correct my monotone thinking habits which caused me to make such incompetent Assumptions so as to the sheer diversity in personality and design. I now understand that the speed and muscle to gain an edge over much weaker and smaller participants who are competing fairly is highly unacceptable. am now a reformed man and shall depart my newly attained way of thinking and knowledge over to the human beings who have helped me reach this state of enlightenment. his shall create an endless cycle of creation which will be very beneficial for both the races involved in it.
Despite respecting both of your perspectives, I must admit and/or confirm that the two of you happen to be incorrect. This is because Cranky Kong is obviously the superior god of the film. After observing the movie for the 8,957,034th time, I have come to the conclusion that Cranky Kong is far more powerful than we realize. It is revealed that Cranky Kong is the only life form capable of harnessing the power of the crystal coconut. As a result of this power, he can temporarily transform into a god. He is also shown to not fear Donkey Kong, and is highly confident that he can demolsih Donkey Kong fairly easily in 1v1 combat. Another concept to keep in mind is that Cranky is the predecessor to Donkey Kong. This means that Crank has taught Donkey Kong all of his techniques/powers, and also has the ability to use them at his disposal. It is inevitable that Cranky knows more about these powers than DK does, and he will know how to counter Donkey Kong's moves. Some of you may argue that Donkey Kong has mastered the art of dodging high speed attacks (as seen at 1:01:12). While this is true, Cranky Kong must've taught him all of this, and he will also be able to dodge any move used against him. This would lead to Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong having an endless battle of dodging and attacking to no avail. With this in mind, we must observe the power of these two Kongs. It is seen that Donkey Kong is able to one-shot opponents with his "Banana Slamma" move. While this would allow DK to easily take out Cranky Kong, Cranky Kong can use the power of the crystal coconut to become an invincible god and can easily take on Donkey Kong unmatched by anyone known to man.
Sorry, I know I'm replying to a way old comment. But I just thought I'd add that in the DK rap from Donkey Kong 64, when talking about Chunky it says "This Kong's one hell of a guy!". I remember as a kid thinking it was horribly inappropriate but now I find it hilarious
I remember watching this back in the 90s or early 2000s thinking that this was supposed to be an adaptation of the video games. I was only familiar with Donkey Kong 64 at the time, and I always wanted to see a sequel, especially one that had Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong, and Chunky Kong in it. Then years later when I was in middle school, I found out that this was actually a compilation of four episodes from a TV show that ran for two seasons. The marketing made it seem like a standalone film, except for the copyright notice in the commercial which is the only thing that referenced the fact that a TV series even existed. I wish I had known back then, because I'm sure I would've loved to watch the show as a kid. And I would've been less confused by everything going on, like Eddie's brief appearance (if you didn't know about the show, you'd have no idea who he was), the fact that there's a flashback to a scene that happens later in the movie, etc.
@@AlphaWasSpotted Because the episodes they included on the videotape were placed out of order, and they were too lazy to edit the flashback out of there so that it would make more sense. They actually edited the "Pirate's Scorn" song from the fourth episode on the tape into the first episode as an attempt to introduce Kaptain Skurvy to the audience...by haphazardly inserting it into his introductory scene in mid-sentence and completely grinding it to a halt. Not to mention the song's lyrics give us the exact same information that we would have been given not even ten minutes earlier by Cranky Kong in the "movie". If they could edit the song in like that, I wonder why they couldn't just remove a flashback sequence, or--even better--place the episodes in the proper order.
@@Bauglir100 I think the reason they placed the first Skurvy episode last was because his ship gets destroyed in that episode, and they didn't want to destroy it early on and just have it still be around for no reason.
@@ShooterDaan If they had that much care for continuity, they would've done something about the flashback to that very same episode in the Ape-Nesia segment of the "movie".
I still own a copy of this on VHS. Thoroughly disappointed it never made it to DVD. I used to work at a Blockbuster Video and after we were told we could only play PG and G movies I would load this into the overhead on repeat for HOURS to driver customers out, I think I still know the movies by heart. Even the trailers before it. Peanuts, Rugrats, etc. Phenomenal movie I cant wait to share
I got a DVD within the last few years with three or four episodes on it. I think it has one episode in common with this oldie, but I don't remember which. So there's at least one DVD out there with several episodes, but yeah, I wish they would take care of the whole series. I still can't find any sites with all of them up, and I really liked this series. The script has some clever moments, and the animation, while not completely accurate or top-notch, is detailed and nuanced. The animators clearly put a lot of time into doing what they could with what they had, and for a small-production TV show in the 90s, this is about all you could ask for. Maybe it's not canon, but of all the video game TV shows out there, especially Nintendo-based ones, this was the best in its own right, even without the franchise's support.

Looking back, I felt I had to see this scene to understand Skurvy's true intentions. This whole time up to this point, he said he wanted the Coconut in the name of his great, great, grandpappy, Quint Skurvy. But here he is now, damning the very man whos legacy he claims to honor in the middle of invoking his name once again. He never gave a damn about Quint's legacy, he only wanted the Coconut for the sake of having the Coconut. Then again, they bring it up three times in the episode that Pirates are dishonorable scum, which is why they're the scourge of the seven seas. So honestly I shouldn't be too surprised...
Would it really have been so hard to make sure the episodes are in the right order? So many kids were needlessly confused when they were innocently watching the fourth episode only to suddenly be like "Wait, wasn't there a flashback to this scene earlier in the movie? What's going on?!"

I understand my mistake, I will ensure to correct my monotone thinking habits which caused me to make such incompetent Assumptions so as to the sheer diversity in personality and design.
I can't believe I watched the whole thing at half speed
Tmec Rep really? What's it like in that kinda speed
Tmec Rep we’re in maximum speed
Wh...why
taking me back to my childhood. thank you so much.
OG_Ryan Panther your welcome

DK has an awesome singing voice
I actually use to think it was Kenan Thompson who did the singing voice for DK, but no.
20:45 Did he say "May he rot in hell"?
***** yup
Kurti Flurti Nostalgia Critic: You know, for kids!
I put the Asian in Caucasian As a european, what's wrong with saying hell anyway?
Just another funny episode for kids lol
Yeah why did they do a flashback of something that hadn't happened yet?
2000's for me when I was a little kid
I have seen this film before and now I'm watching the TV show starting with season 1
It’s a good show
59:30
Every now and then , when I run, I hear that music playing In my head and making that face like DK!

This is great. It allowed me to understand the remix of Pirate's Scorn.
I remember checking this out from Blockbuster because the show wasn’t available on the TV service we had. Good times.
khfan4life365 ikr good times
Compare the film with the episodes featured, and you will discover that it is not a film at all; it's actually episodes from the cartoon done out of order.
Ben Bruns it is a movie for the part with the bog monster in it
Nope that’s an episode too
I just watched 1997 commercial in the movie
As an avid Donkey Kong fan, I'm blessed to have found this. 😀

Same here. I missed it, for some reason.
King K Rool's Voice sound Just like Man Ray's Voice.

Actually, the animation for the show (Which this is episodes from) was done with motion capture, so you're not too far off.

20:43 ROT IN HELL???
An error. The actor meant to say 'heck.'
E-Star99 Nope. That was the actual line.
+Gamer Fiend It must have slipped out of the actors mouth.
Rare for a late 90s cartoon but Hell is what he said. :)
Ah, I remember my brother and I used had this movie VHS tape back in 2005/2006 during holiday of 2005.
That clipping at 9:18 is something magical.
I love the pirate song 😂
Me too
Wow nostalgia to my childhood
Would it really have been so hard to make sure the episodes are in the right order? So many kids were needlessly confused when they were innocently watching the fourth episode only to suddenly be like "Wait, wasn't there a flashback to this scene earlier in the movie? What's going on?!"
