Cutting his hair is a byblical refference to samson, who was granted superhuman strengh by god but would lose it if he ever cut his hair. In the end he gets tempted by a woman who finds his secret and cuts his hair. Samson pleads to god to give him one last time the strengh to defeat his ennemies. This show is a metaphor for that wonderful lesson of a tale.
