Totally agree with what you are saying. The most difficult part I found in Blender is remembering keyboard shortcuts, if you can't memorize them you won't get anywhere & the only way you're going to remember them is repetition of the basics. Watching the tutorials on "The Daily Show with CG" & just following along, the basic shortcuts will become second nature, you will also learn what all the "commands" do & how to use them when you experiment on your own.
You're never on your own, it's better to ask (what seems like a dumb question) than to smash your keyboard in frustration. Leave a comment or ask a question & TDS with CG is always happy to help answer it for you, he might even make a tutorial if your lucky.
Don't give up, take a break & ask questions, this channel is awesome. 👍🏼🦘
