Systems like the Caesar wheeled artillery have gotten allot more attention with US military leaders. Tracked artillery has been working fine. But updated systems would be nice. But they said they wanted artillery to shift to fully mobile systems because of their "Shoot and Scoot" ability made them allot more survivable in battle.

Excalibur was designed to be shot 'off bearing' to the target, up to 30 degrees I believe, and then adjust it's own trajectory in flight to hit the GPS point programmed into it. This confuses the enemy radar and doesn't allow them to pinpoint the firing point. GPS jamming seriously degrades the accuracy of those rounds.

Excalibur doesn’t use GPS to explode. It uses gps and inertial guidance system for accuracy. The shell switches to inertial navigation if gps is lost. The shell will still explode regardless if it has gps or inertial navigation as it utilizes a proximity fuse.

Several times there is a mention of the problem with Excalibur shells and GPS jamming. At 4.00, it is vaguely hinted that the crew here is now using a non-GPS shell, but that is nowhere made explicit. Scanning down through the comments, but not to the end, I notice that no-one else seems to be bothered by this omission. I can't understand that. For me, an absence of factual precision blocks my ability to take in anything else that is said.

I just going whacked for saying this but here goes. Every piece on the Russo-Ukraine war on Times Radio for the last two years has been about some Russian setback or major issue they face. Yesterday we had "Putin at risk of losing Crimea", we were told over a year ago that Russia was on the verge of bankruptcy and running out of missiles. Russia but not Ukrainian casualties are discussed. It's one thing to support Ukraine its other to have an editorial line that effectively ignores any issues one side in a conflict is facing and presenting a distorted view of the war. Times Radio even stands out from other pro-Ukraine sources like New York Times/Sky etc in terms of relentless positivity. It just does not help, if Russia is the state its been presented through the collection of articles here the US could safely withdraw aid and leave the EU to finish the job. Whatever your normative position you should try and report objectively on balance of problems the two sides face

My impression is that this channel uses a lot of clickbait titles and can often create entire videos, solely based on one person's opinion or comment. It is an odd tactic and it is unclear what purpose it is supposed to serve. In some cases, it even harms the reputation of some of their guests, which again is odd. This is actually one of the most normal videos that I have seen.

With the Check initiative, massive influx of 155mm shells from USA and the known quantities of the Russian manufacturing capabilities, there's absolutely no chance that the Russians are firing 10 times more shells than Ukrainians..
All sources say that the ratio is 2:1 up to 4:1 in certain parts of the battlefield.
I know when you're on the receiving end of those shells, you feel like they're 10 times stronger than you, but we have similar accounts from the Russian soldiers whose phone conversations were taped by the Ukrainian intelligence services, where they claim that Ukraine has a massive edge over them in the number of fired shells..
Also the Excalibur GPS guided rounds don't just fall from the sky like a piece of a metal slug, without exploding if they get jammed..They explode like any other 155mm shell but by jamming it the shell won't hit the desired spot...
US weapons developers from Raytheon are working heavily on upgrading the Excalibur as to make it more resistant to the Russian jamming...
