En memoria a vuestra excelencia! Nathan Milstein!
Yes it is a beautiful performance - romantic... But in my opinion David Oistrakh plays this even better, he has got the intensity which makes this music more than romantic...
Milstein made sev r al studio recordings of the first Bruch. PITTSBURG!?Not crazy about everything M does. Heifetz has a style that heard sounds perfect but he plays this bery differently. Milstein is crisp. Maybe too crisp and fast in the energico. Jansen is incredible!
You're right - Milstein's version is fine. But it lacks the intensity of David Oistrakh, his interpretion makes the music more than only beautiful and romantic... I haven't listened to Arthur Haifeis, but I will...

Really, quite arguably in a class by himself......
Utterly sublime!
This is considered by many as the best of all his Bruch recordings, especially he augmented the run at the end of the 1st movement with finger octave.
I like Ostraikh's too, very much so,
This is the best lol
@@emmanikitina8859I like David Oistrakh too - even more...

nice recording it's very good playing in there
i found Kyung Wha Chung's Bruch Violin Concerto has a very similar tempo, love her version and this version by Milstein
...Just... That Milstein
