    God, Apollo just hoping he’s lying to himself about speculating Dhurke died always hurts to read. And his breakdown. It’s so simple. just a basic head slam to the desk and scream. And yet? It’s so effective to capture the grief of knowing you’ve lost a dad for the second time. Not to mention this is the first time we’ve seen Apollo have a distress animation.

      I feel like that's on purpose. Apollo doesn't forgive him at first for dumping him in America and splitting, even if it was for his own safety. So he's noticably cold to him at first. It isn't until the case progresses that Apollo opens up to his father again.

    I think Apollo’s breakdown would’ve been more sad if his scream was muffled by his face being in the desk. It would’ve shown how great his despair was by it being heard throughout the room despite it being muffled.

    Years ago, my grandpa passed away just as I was going through this case. He was my dad in lack of my real one, and it's the biggest pain I had ever felt. After the funeral, I saw how this case ended and, suffice to say the emotional weight that this case has on it's own increased exponentially. Spirit of Justice is the best subtitle they could have given this game, it came right when I needed it the most.

    My only gripe with this scene is how Phoenix is utterly baffled by the revelation. You'd think Phoenix would be like "Hm, yes" because well...he's been theough this type of incidents and in AA4 he was like this super cunning mastermind. Dude should have foreseen this!!

      @@eyebrows0408 apollo definitely handles this case well by his own even if phoenix wasnt there.
      I think they are trying to experiment of Phoenix being the sidekick at the court for once.

      In all fairness, in Apollo Justice, most of the events in his control were ones he'd put a lot of effort and attention into controlling and puzzling out over time, whereas the information about Dhurke's blood was found by Apollo less than a day before the trial while Phoenix was investigating elsewhere. The premise of SoJ on the developers' part was to take Phoenix out of a familiar environment where he had control so he could be blindsided again.

    This last case is so weird, the first part with the whole Maya kidnapping is absolute dogshit, literally copying Engarde's trial but a lot worse, literally no hype..... but then somehoww they go to Khurain and this happens.... Man this case is crazy good one, if the first part was bearable it'd be easily the best of the whole franchise.

    • @terydtl4427
      @terydtl4427 Год назад +46

      i honastly liked the first part as it was a nice twist on engarde, becuse you dont know that maya's been kidnaped yet and so your wondering why phinex is acting like this, only for the truth to be reveald and you start to realize what pheonix has been going through. its like you were playing the engard case from edgeworth's perspective.

    • @galegopaulista4564
      @galegopaulista4564 Год назад +38

      I don't think the first half was all that bad. Yeah, the whole thing with Maya being kidnapped again was pretty boring and just an uninteresting copy of Engarde's trial, but it's what allowed this case to have a fight against Phoenix Wright himself, which is really cool in my opinion. Coming back to Kurain Village was fun, the whole cave exploration was pretty epic, Dhurke was a great companion, Sarge is a great one-off character, and Paul Atishon is just hilarious.
