If you are reviewing a PSU and you are not using an oscilloscope or something that measures line quality/noise, volt accuracy, load test, and shutoff/safety... then you are failing. There is NOTHING in this video that speaks to actual "quality" of the PSU itself... it's literal main job.
Even the fans, he assumed without testing that the Arctic ones are louder because Arctic doesn’t have noise level spec on the spec sheet. Lazy content making, just to be honest.
@@digressorIt absolutely baffled me how much effort was put in to force a comparison between the two. They're both great products, so bending a narrative to be "if we lowered the Artic" or "if Noctua raised theirs" ...then... "they'd be on par with each other" amounts to absolute nonsense. At max speed, those Artics are slightly over whisper quiet, but he wants to make a point about "how much louder that is comparable to the Nauctua"? C'mon man.
He is not Gamers Nexus, if you want that much detail for a product that is where to go. He is going off the PSU ratings for the quality and efficiency of the PSU.
They have with some fans, only always after their usual color sold for a while, so maybe they will make black versions of these too some time down the road.
Arctic P12 are very quiet, everyone knows that, why brag about it in descriptions. XD All the fans in my case are Arctic (6) and I have to check every now and then if they work because I can't hear them :)
I wish they would make stuff like this that make sense to most people, 1600w is all good if you are the 1% that use more than one gpu. A 14900k and a rtx 4090 unlocked can be run on 1000w.
This Noctua PSU actually is a monster. An Italian techician made test on youtube with 2100 watt and It never flinched with 22 db fan noise ! It's costs 550-600 euros but probably is the best PSU in the world for consumer use. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'll think about it lol. My PSU, BGears b-PowerMiner 1200W 80+ Platinum Full Modular ATX. How long have I had it? About 7 Years. Still going strong. How much did it cost then? About $250 when I got it.
I been waiting for a seasonic power supply with noctua fans and seasonic and noctua knocked it out of the park. I actually like the brown and beige color of the noctua fans because it reminds me of my sennheiser hd 598 open back headphones with the same brown and beige colors. Sennheiser is known as an audiophile company while also being reliability in terms of making headphones like the legendary sennheiser hd 600 open headphones that are used as a benchmark and reference that other headphone manufacturers try to achieve as well as for there engineering. Noctua is like the sennheiser equivalent of making fans along with there engineering, reliability and performance. The noctua nh-d15 is the sennheiser hd 600 of fans since it's a benchmark and reference that other manufacturers are trying to achieve with there fans. I own the legendary original marble version of the 1997 sennheiser hd 600 open back headphones and I use the noctua nh-d15 for my intel core i9-9900k desktop cpu and my sennheiser headphones and my noctua fans still work like they are brand new.
Just get a 2nd hand Corsair AX1600i (still highest rated by Cybenetics Labs but very close between it and this one) unless you like paying premiums brand new for your psu then yes get this one over the Corsair.
i can tell you with 100% certainty that the artic fans do not deliver those numbers. i switched to a 12y old set of noctua fans i had laying around and saw lower temps with less noise. i switched again to the phantaks d30 fans and omg they are 1000x better. i will be picking up a set of these maybe but im pretty happy with the d30s
i swear i saw something about this being inferior to the original one, possibly from aris *edit: never watch aris drunk, it was a follow up video he did about 3.3v protections, they are both bloody solid it seems 😅
The Fans are definetly the best, and normally i'm a guy who loves to buy the best but for real they are way to expensive- Arctic fans are not as good but still pretty good and you get a 6 pack for the price of 1 of these fans. (But quality control for arctic fans is not the best it happens relativly often that one of these 6 fans make strange noises.)
NF-A14x25 G2 Only slightly better I have them. Slightly better than Artic max at 4 times the price definitely not worth the money IMHO having owned and used them extensively
noctua is probably the best when it comes to cool and silent solutions. the thing is the price. what i dont understand: why do companies not offer a variant with a noctua cooler. i just got my gmktec k8 plus ... and have to first remove the fan's with noctuas. its a 700$ system so i dont care if the fan is 10$ more. same with my nas, a 400$ nas and they save maybe 2$ on the fan. its a (chinese) joke. replaced the loud and annoying fan of the nas a year ago and its dead silence. nothing to hear.
It's funny because a PSU's job is to supply power. All PSUs do this, so how is this the best at it? Is it the most reliable? Is it the quietest? Best aesthetics? Most powerful? If the answer is yes to all the above, it might be considered the best PSU in the world. But it is not. Ergo , it is NOT the best PSU in thew world.
I hate how you take their word for everything. I'm not saying you are wrong about these being the best fans and the best PSU, because they very well could be... But its not because of anything you said but rather because we are talking about Seasonic and Noctua. Without any data to back these claims, most of this video just boils down to unnecessary and unverified lip service. You are not adding any value over the product description pages except for the unboxing experience - which IS valuable, but it does not seem to be the focus of the video.
i like how you "magically" thought that the 24 pin 90 degree connector is for "airflow" lol .....theyve made those connectors for decades and is NOT for airflow. its purely function over form for cable routing.
LoL I can get cooler master X silent more valuable value. Lame!😂 product that noctua attemp to colab too expensive not recommend guys this is just a gimmick advertised video. Ridiculous value. Usually, the overall market will win. This product won go far.
This PSU in a Full ATX Fractal North, Noctua internal 140s, Full Atx ProArt motherboard, 3x 4070Ti Super and 192GB DDR5 6000-ish. Platform agnostic but that combo would be stunning with a 14900K under a Noctua cooled AIO and a set of Crucial T705 4TB NVMe drives. Just my opinion. Building an inventory for a Gordon Mah Ung Memorial Dream Machine 2025 and see if i can donate it to the GoFundMe for his family after his recent passing. Thanks for another awesome video Lauri.
Great PSU and video❤❤, targeted for a niche market , they should have a 1000w and 750W , like they did with the 3070 and 3080 with asus , however they are targeting a specific consumer .
If you are reviewing a PSU and you are not using an oscilloscope or something that measures line quality/noise, volt accuracy, load test, and shutoff/safety... then you are failing. There is NOTHING in this video that speaks to actual "quality" of the PSU itself... it's literal main job.
You are right. This channel is more like marketing speech for niche user group who prefer "cool" stuff.
Even the fans, he assumed without testing that the Arctic ones are louder because Arctic doesn’t have noise level spec on the spec sheet. Lazy content making, just to be honest.

@ Nor are we asking him to be Steve. But to declare this PSU as the best (see title) without testing it and basing it from specs alone is deceiving.
Why can't Noctua make a black version of their product along side their color scheme they love so much.
right give me another color and id buy it in a heart beat
@@BlackGhost_TTV i totally agree! 🤣🤣
Its just "their" color, what they are known about, but i do feel you, i prefer their chromax version always when its available .
Nah that looks like fire!
They have with some fans, only always after their usual color sold for a while, so maybe they will make black versions of these too some time down the road.
That is a C20 inlet and the cable is a C19 cable. It's available everywhere.
The silent wings pro are a beauty! I highly recommend, the sound is a loud whoosh instead of an annoying propeller on my old Noctua Industrial.
?th. This looks good. Seasonic makes some terrific PSUs and Noctua fans are the "standard" so together it would have to be amazing.
Of course you can't find this PSU anywhere... is it even on sale yet?
Seen it for sale on Amazon for a split second. $570
yeah it doesn't show on Amazon or even Newegg.
@@Aggressive_Splooge What Country are you in?? I just looked, I can get one delivered Saturday through Amazon.
Arctic P12 are very quiet, everyone knows that, why brag about it in descriptions. XD All the fans in my case are Arctic (6) and I have to check every now and then if they work because I can't hear them :)
Have used Seasonic in most of my builds. An extremely good company.
0:22 - 0:26 am i the only one hearing him saying " noctua-r" "manufacture-r " ??
I wish they would make stuff like this that make sense to most people, 1600w is all good if you are the 1% that use more than one gpu.
A 14900k and a rtx 4090 unlocked can be run on 1000w.
As soon as they’re back in stock, I’ll pick one up.
It’s a 20a connector instead of 15a. Still standard. Just less common.
Merry Christmas. It has been a minute. You tube notifications for your videos has not been coming through.
This Noctua PSU actually is a monster. An Italian techician made test on youtube with 2100 watt and It never flinched with 22 db fan noise ! It's costs 550-600 euros but probably is the best PSU in the world for consumer use.

I was just looking at this and I’m so convinced I’m doing a Noctua build next go around. Can’t wait to see everyone’s reveals on Jan 6th!
Merry Christmas Lauri. 🎄 🎅
I'll think about it lol.
My PSU, BGears b-PowerMiner 1200W 80+ Platinum Full Modular ATX.
How long have I had it? About 7 Years. Still going strong.
How much did it cost then? About $250 when I got it.
great vid, can you make another vid on actually using almost all connecters and using itself for a pc. thanks,
*Iceberg Thermal still makes the most efficient CFM fans* 😅
How does the 2050-watt Hela PSU far as the other stuff other than sound.
Ohh that's my next PSU and Fans for the new build in 2025. Will be built in the Fractal Design North XL case.
Bought the G2's and sent them back. Now have the silent wings pro 4's and don't regret my decision one bit.
Ah Seasonic. My Intel 2012 is not worthy to use now, but my Seasonic 10 year warranty expired 2 year ago and still in use and going strong 👍
Not available anywhere 😢
That 90-degree 24pin adapter should also be a PSU tester/jumper (it has a button)
finally noctua and seasonic did it. But I did it first 5 year ago for my seasonic PRIME 1200W 80 Plus Gold and it silently working today.
You sound like you're from Northern England haha, brilliant stuff! i love your channel pal, all the best for the New Year from the UK! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
This was exactly the video I needed for planning my new system - thank you!
Nice to hear I got another good psu
I've been holding off ordering about a dozen power supplies for a month. Now I realize why! 😁
Might have to upgrade my fans in 2 years when they come out in black!
I been waiting for a seasonic power supply with noctua fans and seasonic and noctua knocked it out of the park. I never had the problem "I wish my psu would be quiter"
Merry Christmas And Happy New Year @TechNotice
firstly its a power inlet on the psu not an outlet, and the cable has to be a heavier guage to the power draw on the psu
I have a Seasonic PSU 80+ Titanium, it's awesome, toss Noctua together, thats epic.
Got one it works really well, it turns on my pc when I press the button
😮😢

The main draw of Artic has always been price to performance…
I'm going to need to see a comparison to the regular TX-1600, hopefully a chromax variant would be produced.
Noctua need to hire the hawk tuah girl for doing promos.
C20/c19 power cabling. You see them in high powered workstations and servers
What about arctic p14 max and p14 pwm
Looking forward to the 850-1000w version.
Noctua make great fans, but the their 1970's color scheme make them prohibitive.
its not in the link lol just a basic version no noctua version @Tech Notice
1 NOCTUA FAN = 1 electric fan
Bruh you're over selling Noctua right now. Seriously.
i swear i saw something about this being inferior to the original one, possibly from aris

great psu, i got with the mindset to get the 5090
please review the new asrock taichi atx 3.1 psu and the asus thor p3 lineup of atx 3.1 psu mainly the 850w, 1000w, 1200w

Not everyone wants quiet. I need airflow!
Bought myself an Antec 1200w psu, apparently it was made by Seasonic
I don't need it, but I am buying it.
I think you still have that cold …. Ryzen menthol clears a blocked up nose faster than u can say deck nodice…. 🎅 🎄

13:15 already updated I think the video is turn in 2025
Time to upgrade my Proart LC420
It's just blatant and blind brand trust, isn't it? No actual testing why this is good, no comparative or whatsoever
14:00 why they don't look symmetrical ? You pay so much but they can't make the ports nicer ?
Symetrical?

80 bucks for two fans? No thanks
Great fan, but beige and brown? Comeon
So just get a seasonic ps… why pay the noctua premium
I'd rather stick to my Corsair 1600W OG, had other brands in the past and ware not reliable
Mmmmm, Grandpa Brown. 👴🏼
fun, but i can't afford this.

no matter how good they are , still an ugly color for fans inside a PC . even a black fan with those colors as highlights can work.
