4 minutes in and I had to stop to say this... This is how a tutorial video should be done!!! Seems you left out absolutely nothing to have to guess at, yet so intuitively simple to follow. To me, the visuals are perfect and synced perfect with the audio. You should start a RUclips Class on how to make USEFUL Tutorials. TY TY TY!!!

There is also a good possibility to select a point (not POI, but blue point), e.g. like you did at 6:07, and you can use POI, just like you did, and also select a 'Camera Action'. There you can select turn on/off video, take a picture. So you need not manually click 'record' button.
It also could be saved as a route setup (like you did here at home), found that pretty useful.
NB: Thanks for your videos, they really help to learn/overview different useful things/tips on Mavic Pro 2!

So here's bit of light for me in these challenging days. Many thanks and cheers from Sydney, Dave

Dylan, your tutorials are by far the best of the bunch on RUclips .. very concise and so easy to follow. This is a terrific resource! Could you please answer a question about this one. I tried what you'd described yesterday. The results were pretty good for first attempt, but in future, I'd like to pre-plan the waypoints. I use the DJI Smart Controller when flying and it's very good. However, I note that you use a nice big screen during your presentation. What's involved in doing that rather than doing it on my Smart Controller? If I planned the flight on something else, how would I transfer it to my controller before going flying? Thanx in advance, Dylan, and keep up the outstanding work.

I just wanted to express a quick thanks to you Dylan. I wasn’t using my drone much. You’ve opened a whole new door for me 1st with the pano vid and now the waypoints. You made these topics so easy, a caveman like myself could understand. A quick question: If I’m only interested in capturing photos, is there a way to instruct the drone to snap a pic at each waypoint? Thanks again.

Great tutorials. Wonder if you have something related to taking off and landing on on a moving platform (i.e. vessels big enough to work as a landing platform but is constantly moving)? I work offshore and interested on filming launch and recovery maneuvers of an AUV (Autonomous underwater vehicle). The vessel is big enough to launch and landing with no problem. Vessel can hold position for landing, however, I am concern on the heave that would go up and down depending on the waves height. and worry that heave could affect the landing of the drone. Any thoughts?

Great tutorial, Dylan. Much easier to watch this than to go to the field and try everything in real time. One question... in your mission planning I see that the Go4 app is connected to the aircraft, which means you need to have it powered up. Is there not a way to plan a mission in the app without being connected to the aircraft? I don't like the idea of just letting it sit there powered up with the electronics getting hot (I know it has an internal fan).

  • @TheKjlongtine

Wondering if it would be possible to create waypoints "offline" and then send them to pilot. Reason: Client wants footage of their land/buildings and cannot be there day of the flight. At least it would give pilot a general idea of what is wanted. The pilot could then get maybe 3 angles (height) and then the client could choose... ?
