- This is a followup review to my USD Aeon 72mm review. After skating the 72mm Aeons for a month, I struggled with the royales but loved everything else about the skates. I decided to swap out the 72mm shells for some 60mm shells to see what would happen.

Awesome man! I'm getting back to blading at 35 years old after 15 years out of the game....
Thanks for the inspiration :)
Welcome back! It’s a great time to be skating, lots of good skates to choose from.
Im in a similair position and while the falls hurt a bit more I am loving it.
Its also good to see someone skating on video who is also learning, because most videos I we see are of pros flexing their superpowers.
I just picked up the pro model of this one today! This will be my first time in a park without a full rockered 80mm set-up. Thanks for the realistic reviews man!
Oh nice! Get some clips and tag me on IG so I can check it out. @backtoblading
im most def gonna try one out next, been a long k2 rider. but this time ill try out these, cause everybody keeps praising them so much. soo i say ill give it a go, and get back to ya on it as well. thanks for also making me try them out
Aeon 60mm are probably my next skate. Thanks for sharing!
That grey on white is 👌👌👌
I love it, but it’s dirty already. :/
Shouldn't the big soulplates make it easier to royale? I always have trouble with Roces/ Valo because of how far you have to tilt. Maybe I misunderstood... You got much better in a month.
Depends on the frame height and groove. That angle dictates how low you have to get. Skating Aeon frames, or 50/50 Balance, means less tilt needed. Thanks for the kind words!
Ive pushed the button on a pair of 60s- mostly because I want to stick with the feel of the aeon and I cant wait for them to arrive.
Did you try it with an anti rocker- just to see how it would slide? Or is it not really nessacary?
I never tried antirocker but I know a lot of people who do. They’re not bad but I feel a bit unnecessary.
This Setup seems to be lit, my friend. I remember, when you gave skating antirocker a try and I was like yesss. But I am fine with you riding flat again. 😂 JK. Blade on 👍
Yeah man, thanks. I really love these skates. This is my ideal setup for all around aggressive. It’s not perfect for grinderblading, I still prefer Juice Blocks there, but it’ll do. Great for park.
Hello, waz up?
I´ve been rolling aggressive about one year now. I have Nils Janson M12 charcoal and they are great, but the soulplate is really smal. I´m thinking of buying the USD Aeon 60 XIX Aggressive inlines. But I feel a little bit insecure, it has a flat setup, is it difficult doing grinds with the usd aeon 60 XIX, is it easy to "touch" the middle wheels? Is it possible to put on antirocker wheels on that particilur frame?
Hey hey, you mentioned, that you swapped the shells. So did you buy just the Shell? If so, where can i find Those? By the way, great Info you are providing! Keep it coming
Yep! Just swapped them out. In the US, you can find them at Inline Warehouse or Rollerwarehouse I think.
Try these skates anti-rocker one-time man. Yes, yes I know they are Aeons but they are good at 60mm with the go project 48.5's. I have been skating mine that way for a couple of months now. Plus excuse for you to do a new video right? LOL!
The problem then is I’m stuck with 270mm wheel base, which feels bad for me antirocker. I prefer 250mm.
What if I have a wide foot?
Try some Sway or Rollerblade NJ
@@BacktoBlading I was looking into the Sway! Love that skate. Thank you
I was looking at a pair of Aeons but am worried on the size.. how do you test the fit of a skate? My foot is a little over 25cm long and 9.5cm wide. I wear a 10-10.5 in US. Should I grab the 9-10shell? Also how much room should your foot have in the empty shell if I take the liner out? Help me I’m confused lol thanks!
Most skates have sizing in cm. 25cm seems small though, I’m a size 10 in the 9/10 shell and I’m 28.5cm. They aren’t super wide but wider than the m12.
Thanks for the reply, i have a 9-10 shell coming.. at worst I can have them send the 7-8shell and see which I like better. Just figured it would be too small. Getting back into skating after 15yrs or so, I’m 32 now and not sure what to even look for in a good fit.
@@kyleslone6082 Yo, I'm in the same boat as you and my feet are a very similar size. How did it work out for you? Did the 9/10 fit well?
Zachary Bason. hey there, I ordered the 9-10 and the 7.5-8 . The 9-10 felt good but a little loose, the 7.5-8 fits like a glove. But I did get the Lomax 2 which come with the 2nd skin liner so I believe this is why the smaller shell works. I also just switched to a reign slim liner and that fits well in the shell as well. Any normal padded to thick won’t work for me in the 7.5-8 shell, if I had went with the bigger then any liner would be good I would think. But smaller you can go the better right? Lol
@@kyleslone6082 Not trying to be rude but you're probably used to shoes and skates that are waaay too big, or you measured your feet wrong. If your feet are really 25cm that's around a 6.5-7US... My feet are 28.5cm and I wear shoes and skates in the 10-10.5 range. It makes no sense that you'd wear shoes and skates the same size as me when your feet are 3.5cm shorter. 👀
:)

You can always ride them antirocker but I loved them flat
