Around the time this came out, I was on a performing tour in Europe, and the people who were missing their boy/girlfriends back home played this constantly. Takes me right back to that tour bus!
Richard has his biggest hits with ballads, but he can also rock. His first single was "Don't Mean Nothing", which featured three members of the Eagles (Joe Walsh on guitar, bassist TImothy B. Schmit and former bassist Randy Meisner on background vocals), and was a pretty big hit on rock radio stations. You should give that a listen as well. The video also features his future wife Cynthia Rhodes (they married in 1989). They divorced in 2014.
Endless Summer Nights, Should’ve Known Better, and Angelia are my favorite songs of his although I like a majority of his top ten hits. His greatest hits album is definitely on my 80s playlist on my phone and in my car.
Cynthia Rhodes was in the movies, Flashdance, she was the body double to the dancer, and was in Dirty Dancing, playing Penny. I’m sure she was in other movies.
Shawn, good stuff. Suggest:...."Yesterday when I was young" by Roy Clark......"Tuesday afternoon" by Moody Blues...."Kiss your tears away" "Over and over again" by Smithereens
Richard Marx had a slew of 80's ballads and a very hot wife, Cynthia Rhodes. She was a career dancer that was featured in a red dress in one of Toto's music videos and played opposite Patrick Swayze in 1987's film Dirty Dancing.
❤❤❤ Try "Hold On To The Nights", "Now And Forever" and "Endless Summer Nights".
Love this and "Hold on to the Nights". Both are great ballads. Thanks, Shawn. Blessings all.
Richard Marx is a fantastic singer/songwriter. Check out Don’t Mean Nothing, Should’ve Known Better, Endless Summer Nights…just to name a few!

❤❤Satisfied❤❤ another great one by Richard M
He wrote the memorable This I Promise You, brought to our ears by NSync. JC Chasez took lead on the song and made Mr. Marx proud.
Richard Marc was the first concert I went to!

If you've reacted to Rosanna by Toto, then you've seen Cynthia Rhodes.
The original simp song. Waiting didn't work for me, that's for sure. Gotta be memorable not patient.
