You should go through the entire album. There are so many great songs on it that it was the #1 selling album in the world in 1979. Pure gold. Then, consider Crime of the Century and Even In the Quietest Moments. Supertramp not only had catchy tunes, but compositions beyond the talents of the vast majority of bands. I rank them right up there with The Who and The Beatles for combining catchy tunes with compositional complexity. It was such a great band, I was sad when Roger Hodgson went off on his own. He and Richard Davies were musical magic.
The album cover is a view through an airplane window of a spoof of New York City's harbor and the lady holding the orange juice is a spoof of the Statue of Liberty..
No, the lady is not flying in the air. The album cover is a spoof on the Statue of Liberty and the New York skyline, that you would see from the window of a jumbo jet. She is a waitress and the city is dishes because the album is called, "Breakfast In America". ✌️
As @fraser-b3494 correctly pointed out, the waitress is the Statue of Liberty, as seen through the window of the plane, as they are coming in for a landing. The table behind her is Manhattan. You can even see the Twin Towers in the background, which still existed when the album came out, since it was released in 1979.
I was probably a year older than your daughter when I snuck out to see them play in Boston. Tremendous show , got grounded for a couple weeks but still remember the show ☮️
if you look at that album cover in a mirror you will see that it spells 911 (9/11) over the Twin towers and the theory is the orange juice represents the fire and looking out the airplane window represents the plane on the way to crash into the towers. The theory is that Supertramp saw this going to happen back in 1979 and inside the sleeve theres a picture of them all eating at the diner amazed looking down at the newspaper
The waitress represents the Statue of Liberty.
How does someone NOT realize that? Baffles me.
@@doplinger1 They got the city being restaurant paraphernalia, but not The Statue Of Liberty reference. Baffling indeed.
She is adorable and smart! Good on you for introducing her to Supertramp, one of the best prog. rock bands. You are building memories.
Supertramp takes me back to high school. The 70’s ROCK!

I was her age when I first heard this and all 70s music. It will give her an appreciation for great music. You both are adorable. ❤

She's bright my friend! Always thought this was more a novelty song for them? 'Crime' was the breakout album and for me never matched!
I saw Roger Hodgson in concert in 2011, and he said that his girlfriend left him after hearing the song! 😂
I want to thank you for all your broadcasts
Another fun and energy filled reaction! This is such a great song…looking forward to what’s next!
Love this upbeat track. Supertramp is so good, loved it. Great reaction, Zoey and Shawn, as always. Blessings all.
Supertramp are great but they could never compete with your daughter. 🥰 Their song *Rudy* got me emotional in the mid-70s.
200% "Rudy" is a masterpiece ❤
What does that mean? 😮
I think that lady was representing the Statue Of Liberty. Never thought of her riding the wing. 😆
Superteamp are quite good. The Logical Song or Dreamer are worth listening to.
I think the woman in the artwork was probably meant to be the statue of liberty and they were flying past it/her?
You are correct. I'll elaborate below.

@StuartistStudio1964 and a 100 other people said the same thing.
jam!
You should show her "School" and everything on "Breakfast" and everything on "Crime of the Century".😅❤
Steely Dan...definitely. RIkki Don't Lose That Number, Reelin' in the Years, My Old School.
“Libby” is the waitress. She’s the Statue of Liberty
Is the waitress suppose to be the Statue of Liberty?
You two have the cutest reactions

That little extra intro you gave made me think of The Ringling Brothers, Barnum , and Bailey Circus.
Remember when this came out!
Wow! People are "on you" for missing the Statue of Liberty reference. How could you!! LOL
Gym Class Heroes - Cupid's Chokehold is old now. lol Almost 20 years old now.
Munster song❤😊

I'm waiting for Rush and Pink Floyd. I know you've listened to both but I want Zoey to be introduced. The earlier the better for our world. 🙂
The chunky orange waitress is the SoL. Good cover.
I would recommend "I Think I'm Going Bald" from Rush
Zoe is an absolute star, sounds like she can sing too - when are you gong to introduce her to The Warning?
Wow I didn't know you had a kid, she looks just like you.
They have done a dozen or so reviews so far.
The lady is the "Statue of Liberty" and instead of a torch she's holding a glass of beer.
Or orange juice I guess. Seeing as it's Breakfast in America. Beer can be a good breakfast though. 8 am is beer o'clock, right?
Hit up some grunge and old school rap. Maybe some punk. Some reggae.
