  • Troubleshooting is always an adventure if you don’t know what tools are available to use. Waukesha ESM and ESM2 engine control systems incorporate eHelp, but knowing which engine control is on the engine is crucial to making sure the right resources are selected.
    To assist in identifying which control system is on the engine, the Engine System Identification session was developed. In this session, Training Manager, Matt Walloch, will provide tips to help you to quickly identify the electronics control system and components that currently make up your Waukesha engine. Waukesha engines are frequently updated or upgraded with newer control systems, making it vital to understand which version you are looking at. The eHelp files are directly linked to the family and control systems that are in use on your engine.

    I need info on terminating the pdb correctly on my ecm 1 based unit. It is 24vdc I dont see where the power that bypasses the disconnect should be terminated, not clearly marked and my documentation for this was lost

    great effort, can you help me please to solve this problem , we have VHP Series Four 12-Cylinder with AFR2/emPact Emissions model L7044 GSI, during normal operation ESM is locked , cannot access it using laptop, send shutdown signal to PLC, and its power led is only on. After replace ESM with new one engine starts again without any problems, this issue occurred for three times without determining the root cause

      Hello - thanks for the comment! The ESM2 upgrade for 8cyl AT is not in the short term product road map, but may be addressed in the future. Current ATGL ESM2 solution offerings are being addressed for our 12VAT27GL and 16VAT27GL units.
