I think my comments in the main column are blocked so I will just toss my thoughts here. Felton still evades the proven and known fact that Hitler's doctor drove him unstable. In this case the main bit of evidence is missed. The witness said he saw Hitler with his head smashed. This tells us one thing. His head was opened to remove the dental bridge work immediately following the death. This means the forensic deception with the switched bodies was planned NOT a sudden decision made when these brilliant planners realized the bodies were not burning. The pair are as one inner circle member stated. They are in a common grave nearby. They remain near to the center of power, waiting for their spirits to be summoned again.

Excellent documentary : you're stating alot of things I came to a conclusion a while ago on. Berlin was far too much of a cauldron for many/any top officials to make it out, let alone to another country.
There however was well more than enough manpower and preparations to hide Hitler and Eva's bodies well enough the soviets wouldn't find them. How many died defending Berlin? How many thousands of bodies were charred beyond recognition that were burried in mass graves for expediency? That is much, much more easily accomplished with the two largest armies in world history bearing down on you

    • @francesco245
      @francesco245 Год назад +12

Why bother hiding the bodies in the first place, though?
What mattered to Hitler and his entourage was that the bodies would not be desecrated publicly by the Soviets. Which is why the SS burned the bodies.
But once this was done and the remains had become little more than a few bone fragments and ashes, there was little more that the Soviets could've done to desecrate the corps anyway.
All this cloak-and-dagger body-swapping under heavy Russian artillery fire is frankly quite ridiculous.

If we believe the post-mortem reports, someone wanted it to be believed that the two bodies had been poisoned with cyanide - and this was not the case. Perhaps to conceal the real Hitler/Braun to deny them to the Soviets, or perhaps to conceal the real cause of death. Perhaps it wasn’t suicide at all. Only speculation remains but - logically - it probably has to be one of those two reasons.

Mark, I think your theory is spot on. This is what I had always thought happened to Hitler and Eva's bodies. I wish I could have asked my friends Otto Gunche and Rochus Misch who I got to know and became friends with in the early 90's. Both of them were firm in their belief that Hitler did kill himself along with Eva Braun and both heard the shot that Hitler used his pistol to shoot himself and Gunche was the first person to open the door and see Hitler and Eva dead on the couch. Misch watched as both bodies were carried out of the bunker. Gunche carried one end of Hitler and Linge carried the other end. Both of them went back into the bunker to continue destroying documents of Hitlers. I think this is where Rattenheuber and the others may have made the switch and buried the bodies in another location on the bunker complex.

My grandfather lost a leg in the fight for the bunker. He was basically there for the last fight. He was convinced until his death about 25 years ago that Hitler escaped with others on a plane that left before the use of the emergency airstrip was impossible.
However, he was a tanker and not inner circle (but I think consolidated under Waffen SS at the last minute), and a fellow soldier took off his black tanker uniform and insignia as warrant officer after he could not move from the shattered leg because either one would have gotten him killed by the Russians approaching: Either being an officer or having a black uniform - because there were only 2 types of black uniforms: SS and tankers. But by the time Russians come close, they didn't check insignias; they just shot everyone with a black uniform.
He was cared for for 2 years until his stump fully healed - Antibiotics were still an American military secret and leaving the hospital without proper care could have killed him. This way, he also avoided Siberia. He didn't know if his family was still alive and they didn't know if he was. They lived in East Prussia and all that was gone. So, he went to his parents-in-law, and found his wife and 2 older kids well and alive, and had 2 more - one of them my mother.

Glad your grandfather survived, minus part of a leg. My grandfather escaped the Soviet Union before WW2, taking a bullet. He, navigator on a Russian ship, saw all his shipmates murdered by the communists. He survived due to him being a navigator. As for Hitler, I have read a lot about WW2, and continue to read about that period of time, now working on the Russian Revolution. I think, believe, assume Hitler did escape. One author on most things Nazi, firmly believes Hitler got out of Berlin and made it safely to Argentina. It's sad some people, like Felton, can't wrap their heads around that fact.

The valet said (17:10) that they were in the "park of the Chancellery", in a mass grave. But he didn't say which part. In theory, one could go dig up the whole grounds of the Chancellery looking for DNA, but I suspect no one will want to spend that much time and money looking for a needle in a haystack.

He took his own life to deny the Allies the victory of capturing him or (most likely) killing him, and ordered his valet and other aides to burn Eva Braun's and his own body, then bury them in the garden of the Reich Chancellory.

Yes perfect sense if you’re a potato.
All Mark’s objections to Hitler having escaped to Argentina are superficial, shallow and go against Logic and reasonable deductions of Hitler’s personality. There are witnesses and photographs of Hitler in Argentina, as were shown in this video. Yet some people refuse to see, what’s as plain as the nose on their face, bc their emotions blind them to reality.
They don’t want to believe that Hitler got away with everything that he did, bc that affronts their presuppositions and sense of Ultimate Justice.
How could Karma or God, or whatever controls the Universe, allow that to happen? Is what their subconscious mind is telling them. So they’re willing to bend all the known facts and distort the possibilities and plausibilities, to fit their own ulterior agenda and all to pander, to their false sense of security, as a child clings to their blankie, against all logical reasons to put it down.

    (1) The Sovjet prison really took a toll on him. In the photo at 15:56 he looks reasonable healthy. The photo at 16:04 - probably taken during captivity -shows a broken old man. There are less than 10 years between these 2 photos.
After his release he seems to have recovered. He looks much better in the interview at 16:45 (but note that he was only 42 years old at the time of this interview).
    (2) His English in the interview at 16:45 is really good. Surprisingly good, really, considering his background. I looked up his CV: He received only basic education and was a brick layer before joining the SS Leibstandarte (Hitler's body guard unit).

As Felton here is himself presenting a conspiracy theory, I would not be so quick to smugly dismiss it. People like you uncritically accepting what authorities tell you is why Felton had to make this video in the first place.

Fact is always stranger than fiction. Fiction has to make sense.

Probably because if they told the truth you would have a bunch of people digging up the place around the bunker site looking for the remains and the place would look like a circus with discovery channel/history channel running all over the area.

This series has been fascinating. I agree with your opinion about the bodies being buried elsewhere. It makes perfect sense.

Linge's statement has always held water for me. So, the evidence is compelling enough to point towards his version of what happened as being closer to the truth rather than anything else. Thanks Mark, for putting it all together.

He bascially died in the bunker just like it's always been said, his body was just not found for obvious reasons.

Bravo, Mark! Was on the edge of my seat this entire time! While I agree that Hitler did not escape, I think a video expanding on this fantasy idea would nonetheless be very interesting!

There was a film made called "grey wolf" about the escape to Argentina fantasy/idea. It is available on RUclips, it starts off like a documentary but launches into a film and ls made using the various accounts and "sightings" that people have come up with over the years.

Love the video! Please make a series on rudolf hess's Scotland flight. The bizarre isolation of his imprisonment until death and the churchhill papers. Perhaps speculate on the contents and consequent reasoning on them still not being declassified today

    Another fascinating video!
These are Dr Felton's thoughts, rigorously defensible and presented publicly. But I would give a lot to hear some of the hypothetical ideas that he might entertain after hours, from the basis of all of his vast and impressive knowledge.
