That is a badass rig there! Very capable indeed. I am really impressed with your driving skills of this beast. Unlike other vloggers out there who just hit it to the floor and just drive recklessly even at low gear, you conquer these rocks slowly inch by inch like a pro. I did really enjoy this video. Cheers!
This is the first vid about the SCX6 that's actually made me want one, damn you! 🤣 Really good to see it tested and hear some critical (I don't mean negative) thoughts about how it runs and what it offers. The earlier vids almost completely lack that - they're basically just marketing fluff, and left me completely cold on this truck. I hope you get more stuff to test! Great stuff, cheers. 😎👍
Thanks so much man. Yeah I wanted to see if it would be a truck I would have fun with, this is what I like to do with my rigs. I think it passed the test!
Dude you are an artist at crawling! Very great video, with nice backgrounds. Well done, I'm liking that SCX6, it's on my list just after I mod my 5ive T to electric.🤙🏼
Oh man that looks so scale. Especially on that sandstone. Utah is an off roaders paradise. Dropped my cash already for the green one. Cant wait till they release it to me. You RUclipsrs are so lucky to get your hands on them already.
That’s something people probably are overlooking is how real they look. They really nailed it. I have pictures that look like a normal keep on the trail. And now it’s not smaller than the shrubs so it’s really convincing. You’re gonna like it!
im happy you actually put this through real, tough obstacles to see what it could do. I have been looking at scale crawlers to replace my buggy and everyone has videos reviewing them over lame gravel pits and tiny dirt hills. thanks for making this.
I actually like the red diff covers myself and i like that that they didnt go with portals as well. That was one thing i feel like axial should have always stuck with. Dont get me wrong, i like my TRX4, but portals are definitely not the most scale. The TRX4 with the portals made it perform really well and was pushing people to buy the TRX4 for the clearance over the solid axle conterparts. Then other companies jumped on the bandwagon rather than sticking to their roots. Axial in my opiniin is the godfather of crawling, but id like to see other models other than Jeep. My full sized trail rig is a 2000 Cherokee on an 8 inch skyjacker doubleflex lift and 35's. I can fit 37's but 35's are just as good on the street to the trails as they are on the trails. 37's start to get that high speed sway at 60+
your test run by far is the best I've seen so far I have the same driving style as you so I'm very thrilled to see the technical crawling that this beast offers now I'm liking it even more
What a great setting. Brilliant video, really tight, the package. Well done! I'm only part-way through but I'll add that I really admire your skill in commentating while you drive. Quality info, clearly delivered, whilst filming beautifully and of course, driving like a pro. Love your work!
Nothing bores me more than a review that consists of some guy reading off all the specs while he fondles the item on his workbench. Way to NOT do that! Awesome vid 🤘🏻
Hi! Thank you for this very detailed test ride! Beautiful landscape! Right out of the Box a good rig / a good design. More important as the car is the driver... You are a good driver!!! 😎 😉 😁 👍
I agree I think overdrive would be the best first option for that truck. Without capable it seems out of the box the second thing I'd be looking at if it was a scalar parts to make the body different from stock like 3D parts angry eyes on the grill maybe a sporty style hood scoop personally the hardtop portion of the body I would paint black.
A high performance 1/10 scale servo is tempting but, it will be working at max capacity vs a larger servo not trying as hard to do the same work. With this size truck you just need the bigger components. A reefs 2000 would be great
Great video! And what a great place too to run a trail truck. I'm really liking its capabilities, I think it's good these days how companies are producing trail RC's which have that option of slow-speed intricate crawling and yet a flick of a switch later you can enjoy some speed. Duel-purpose RC 😎
How lucky are you that you can run a full-size rig and RC rig at the same location - very cool! Awesome review, who needs all those technical stats, lol!
I really wasn’t a fan of this Rig, I thought it was way to top heavy. But you’ve just made it look absolutely awesome! Really enjoy an appreciate your vids 😎 Always learn so much about wheel placement and driving as well as learning about the rigs. Awesome content keep it up 💪👊🏼💯
Thanks for the great review run....preorder placed 👍. Wow, so much for many scale body mods after watching that roll. Will be limited with its weight or parts will fly. Envision much brazing which is always work but much fun.
Wow, first time viewer - very impressed. I've subscribed. I was on the fence with this one, and you just pushed me over. Thanks for the excellent content and enjoyable commentary. Now I just need to move to Utah, apparently! Lol - look forward to seeing more content, thanks again!
Change that DEF Cover I don’t care for the red either, oh awesome video dude I think one of the best I’ve seen on this new rig,And yes overdrive gears for the front
Yeah I like the super slow crawl to, beautiful rig for sure, I want one bad but it’s gonna be a while, the price seems pretty reasonable to me for what it is yeah but it’s gonna take me a bit to Save up for. Appreciate you sharing is always, I’ll be watching for more rock on
I’ve watched your shooting channel for probably a couple years now and just stumbled upon this video looking for info on the new scx6, never knew you were to the RC stuff
@@westdesertwheeler even though Axial shocks have come a very long way over the last decade, the tune-ability an non-leaking aftermarket shocks have always helped my rigs drive more planted an more predictable, i am hoping the local hobby shop were im currently working will let me take theirs out for a wheeling this weekend so i can get a feel for how it runs compared to my many other trucks
Man! That thing did its job very well! Cool lines and obstacles! But wow! If it didn't sound like u threw a refrigerator of a bluff hole! On that roll over, LMAO!!
🤘🏼🤘🏼 I almost edited the roll out of the video but I felt it made it a better video. If you’re in the area I am always out crawling. Capras are always a great time
Battery life was pretty good for such a big truck. I ran for 1-1/2 hours on each pack. Neither was dead when I was done. I trailed here and one other location and switched just so I didn’t have to in the middle of a video. I’d say crawling expect 2 hours from a 5000mah 3S pack.

Well it's got good tires it's got good shocks it's got a good motor it's got a good remote forward weight bias I can't think of upgrades maybe a Toyota body yeah!!!!
@@westdesertwheeler make it more controlled on faster trails. Not for rock crawling. When a locked axle leans over and lifts a tire all the torque and power drives through that wheel and tends to flip trucks over. Open diff the torque matches the opposite wheel which cannot develop any when lifted and it'll diff out instead of flip over. Stability. . Great place to play!
Thanks Matt, I try to make the most of it! Thanks for watching.
Man of all the release videos for the scx6, you have made the best running video in my opinion. Great work 👍🏻
Thank you, I’ve been watching others and I appreciate that.
…I agree!!! Awesome crawling with that huge monster!

Sand hollow is awesome! Great job

That's some serious technical rock crawling, even more realistic with this giant🤘 Awesome location as well 👌
You are the only youtuber that I follow that actually 100% crawls with your crawler. Thanks for that!
I couldn’t agree more, same here!
Thanks guys! I’m fortunate to be near the terrain, I try to utilize it and share with you guys. Without the camera I would be doing the same stuff.

Best crawl running video for scx6 ! You truly shows the perfomance from this beast scale crawler 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you, I appreciate that! I have a part 2 coming soon where I really push the limits.
Finally a running video on the terrain these are built for. Im a slow crawl kinda driver too. I like going for those technical lines
logan sure know how to wheel rc crawler,it just mesmerized just by watching him go through the obstacles
Best running video hands down. The terrain you run is just incredible… heaven!
Thanks! I have a lot of fun out there

Best SCX6 crawling video and location so far
Thank you! Stay tuned for part 2!
Excellent run, fantastic throttle control. Thanks!
Thank you, yes the motor in this is excellent
One of the best drive videos with SCX6! Impressed of SCX6 capability, Good job with the video! I'm big fan of your style to make video!

I was waiting for your video on this. You didn't disappoint. Keep up the good work.

This massive beast is calling my name
Awesome first adventure. Definitely need to get myself one of these bad boys lol
I was pleasantly surprised. It was more fun than I thought it would be and it crawls really well.
Heck yeah this was one of the best. Spring time I’m hoping to have one, I enjoyed this video a lot big thumbs up until the next one
I'm all for large scale rigs anymore. After my 1/8 wallslider I virtually gave up on 10th scale rigs. Now I need a trailer so it can pull my xmax
It’s crazy that when watching this video, even with the background, it all looks full size. Even the environment is 1/6 scale lol
Good job, best run video yet.
Nice driving! Best video I've seen on how silky smooth the sensored bl is.
Oh yeah low and slow. Also great descent control
Awesome driving as always man!!!! Love the merch store definitely going to have to pick up something!!!!

What kind of drive time do you get on a charge, and what battery? Thanks for the nice content!
Outstanding video, great job wheeling and showcasing this in an awesome backdrop, just subbed!
Thank you! I appreciate you doing that. It’s a fun machine no doubt.
First upgrades, tires an shocks, an full light kit, definitely want to get one, but I'll get the vs410 phoenix first

The best SCX6 video yet. Excellent driving by the way.
What was your battery configuration? What size and how many?
Thank you! A 5000mah 3S mounted on each side
That size a scale trailer would hold some camping equipment and you could foot hike/back pack to camp.
Haha yeah it could haul your pack easily
I'm gonna wait to get one just because there isn't any upgrades for it. But I want to see over and under drive first. Or high clearance links
Interesting on the high clearance links idea. I’m sure the option parts will start showing up pretty quick
What are the tires on it Logan. . There awesome . . After watching your video. That thing is insane . Awesome brother
Don't forget to put the taillight stickers on!
I like the way you drive.

We need a 1/6 4WS Capra! 🤘😎
Great video man!
Cena guy riding and pulling it seem pretty strong very good video would like to see someone pulling that next Max or neck to an x-maxx
Axial is really on point in this hobby except for those red diff covers. Lol
Awesome place to run it!
You couldn’t upload enough vids of your rigs you’ve got so many really cool ones
Thanks man I appreciate that. I try to make as many as I can without overloading the viewers
I love my scx6,s there definitely different than driving the 10th scale rigs
Yeah you can feel the weight difference as they move

I like the red diff cover vs the black and green
Fair enough! Thanks for watching

The over drive and lighting a tad brighter or more lighting!!
Nice vid man!!!
Where is this awesome place??
yo this truck is so dope
Thats a cool truck, but at this price point its 2/3 the cost of a carbon mountain bike wheel set so this is a non starter for me. Still a rad product
In my second video I talk more about cost. I totally understand man, 1,099$ is a lot of cash.
Have a look at Berm peak. . Seath does all sorts of things as a MTBrider. He broke his foot and got the rc bug. . Have a look at his review on the new axial 1/6. Funny azz
Would be nice with some cool aftermarket bodys for that rig. Whats your estimation on runtime with that 5000mAh battery?
1:30-2 hours each pack
Thats not bad, not bad at all for a truck of that size.
Superbe démonstration
I’d like to see a slightly better servo maybe faster or more torque
That field control rpm cruise control makes torque twist worse. Brushed is the closest thing to simulating a gas engine
Great video and location for this beast, check berm peaks video it’s hilarious
Oh yeah I’ve seen it. I’m most impressed that the body didn’t collapse when he sat on it. And riding it through the woods. SMH
great video! 👍
Well it's got good tires it's got good shocks it's got a good motor it's got a good remote forward weight bias I can't think of upgrades maybe a Toyota body yeah!!!!
Definitely this could make a great 80s series landcruiser
Great video. Are you using 3s or 4s? I see its rated at 4s but most are recommending 3s. Why is this
The KV on the motor is best suited for 3S. 4S can destroy the electronics. And they will be expensive to replace I’d suggest 3S
Put some brass weights on that, and some better tires and I think I would make a big difference even though it's already cool
Not sure it needs the weights, have you picked one up yet? Tires do well on it from my testing
Great video!
I'm still finding a way to justify this to my fiancé.
For something this large with a brushless system I’d have liked to see locking diffs to unlock and run some higher speed trails.
It does decent locked up. Not sure open diffs would make this a speed demon. It’s a solid axle heavy rig
Stability.
.
It's why my trx6 is way more fun to drive on trails than my capra. It also allows the larger truck to turn sharper and adds in a lot of scaleness by seeing one wheel spin like a real rig.
I wanna see what the winch for these is gonna look like
Hahaha yeah I’ve wondered the same thing.
Your thoughts on running a 1/10 powerful servo Reefs 555 or a 1/5 scale servo.
I would only go with a 1/5 scale. It makes more sense. It’s stronger and will run cooler
@@westdesertwheeler thanks, I’ll check some out.
