Myself. I’m the first Generation of Star Wars. One thru Six and Rogue One. The movies, shows, merchandise has gone down. They have lost their way creating memorable stories and characters. Now, it’s about gender and feminism. Sad and Shame. Cheers OK🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺😎🎸🎸

I'm right with you Nick. First two episodes were really solid, none of the problems that plagued BOBF, OWK or Mando S3. Those negative RUclips reviews are talking BS - there is no "woke" agenda with this as far as I can see. Yes there are some female characters - so what, yes there are multiple ethnicities - so what. All good so far for me.

    Thanks for the information.
The last live-action Star Wars I watched was Mandalorian Season 2.
I have kept up-to-date though, by watching your videos and Charlie Hopkinson. Andor is the only series I'd consider watching.
I am currently re-watching the Clone Wars (Filoni) TV series. Great to re-visit.

I haven’t seen the Acolyte yet, but as always willing to give it a fair go. Though I do look forward to seeing the scene where the Jedi tells the padawans to close their eyes and the Rodian can’t…LOL. That scene alone makes me want to see this😂

Pretty much in agreement. IMO Andor/ Rogue One rank only after A New Hope and Empire. I thought the Acolyte was good- I'd heard reviews and predictions that it would be lousy, so I'm happy it's decent. Better than decent. It's way better than BOBF by alot.

I had a weird experience with kenobi, I feel like I went into it with too many expectations and wasn't too bothered but I was sick for a week and watched it again and loved it! 🤷‍♂️ the thing that drove me mad with the acolyte was putting out a fire in zero G and clearly the flames and fire extinguisher were in real time with gravity 😂

One thing that I didn’t expect was how much visual storytelling the droids do, like they’re just different enough in how they’re more simplistic and bulky that it really makes it feel like it’s a hundred years before anything we’ve ever seen. I like the prequels but I do remember as a kid thinking it was weird how sometimes the tech looked way better than the original trilogy stuff

I thought it was good so far and looking forward to it. Liked osha character and sol. We’re gonna need osha in TVC asap, and the young girl jedi. The thing I’ll say about all the sequels and shows is that even the worst of them (ahem Obi wan) have really great Star Wars moments in them, even if the story sucks or whatever there’s great moments.

It’s great to have a show set outside of the Skywalker saga. The premise is pretty good, I like the concept of Jedi detectives and the the characters were likeable except for venestra (if I’ve got the name right) she was annoying as hell every scene she appeared in. Sol is the standout, he has a bit of Qui-Gon about him and the grace and gravitas of a Jedi. But it all still feels so small and confined. The Jedi temple should feel cavernous and not these tiny wee rooms. The word is the next couple of episodes are ‘last Jedi’ awful so that does not bode well. And Disney got it all wrong with the marketing and messaging of this show with the whole identity politics stuff. Even if it turned out to be a fantastic show it has already been lost in all that noise. Andor remains the gold standard for how these shows should be (and yeah Mando 1 &2). They should get those Andor guys in the room and have them teach all the rest of these writers, directors etc how to actually do Star Wars. Had high hopes for yer wee man Filoni but not so sure anymore. Anyways I do hope the Acolyte turns out to be a genuine good surprise.

I like to wait for all the episodes to be released and then watch it all, one after another and then judge wether it's any good or not?? Some episodes may be a bit slow and lack action and you may judge the whole thing on that episode and not watch the rest. Watch it all at once it's better than way and then you don't have to wait a whole week to see what happens next. Forget about it then binge them all.

The crouching tiger Kung Fu fight scenes were just stupid and have no place in Star Wars. The alien masks all looked like cheap left overs from Star Trek the next generation props department as they did in Mando. The sets just looked cheap. Some of the acting is just terrible take the fat Jedi guy for instance. And the Jedi wookiee Kelnacca well I thought it was Harry from Harry and the Henderson's. This just the typical hit and miss we have come to expect from Disney. With more miss than hit.

To make it simple.. The first trailer: Voiceover begins with "close your eyes.." as the camera pans to an alien youngling that has no eyelids.
    😶
That's enough for me to avoid wasting the money on Disney+ which I haven't done since the end of Obi Wan after the Book of Boba massacre.

I have enjoyed the first two episodes. Although I love the OT, and prequels, I'm happy they're telling a story apart from the Skywalker one. I like the characters thus far, and also like that we don't really know what's going to happen to them. I like that it's a mystery as to who's orchestrating the killings, and what did the Jedi do that might show the beginning of they're downfall? Obviously one of them was willing to take their lives over something. Oh, and a Wookie Jedi!

I feel it was just another poorly constructed, mediocre, poorly paced and dully acted piece of Disney rush to streaming fodder. I don't feel it is telling a Star Wars story. Dull characters, no establishing shots, rushing from one scene to another with wipes, even if the scenes take place in the same location. It just feels like "content" and not Star Wars. One thing that actually made me laugh out loud was the death of Trinity (Moss). For 25 years we have seen characters get cut in half and decimated with light sabers and survive. Then she gets stabbed with a tiny knife, like so small it didn't seem like it would even go through to the heart, and she falls dead where she stands. Then the episode ends in the middle of a speech as the bad guy turns his lightsaber on for no reason. Then the Jedi that can't keep his eye on the shop and is like "Where did he go?!" And another Jedi committing suicide... on screen?!?!?! This is a show of just things happening. Sad that they can't bring in people who really know and love Star Wars.
