Just come back from an NCL cruise and was very pleased to see this beer available in the bars on board. Beautiful, served very cold, as you say lots of cloves and great depth of flavour. Making my mouth water now thinking of it 🍻Great review ! 🤩
I bought a can of this for the first time today here in Canada after never having heard of it. It caught my eye at the store because the label is basically identical to Erdingher. I get lots of banana and clove in the nose, and the palate is essentially the same. With all the yeastiness, it reminds me a little bit of a Belgian Trappist ale, but less heavy. Great stuff.
Personally I prefer Erdinger wheat beer, I would also recommend Augustiner, which is what many people in Munich actually drink or recommend, but it's hard to get overseas. Great review, you know what you're talking about and it shows.
Nice one. What an absolutely brilliant beer. It just amazes me that even with all of the choice people have with beers today, some people go for the awful swill of Bud, PBR, Natty Light, Coors Light, Miller Light, Keystone, etc. etc.
Had this just after 1st lockdown - had to leave my car in dusseldorf airport and there was a shell garage with a great stocked fridge there - i picked this and wow just loved it- iv had a couple since and its one of the best weiss. Out there🍻🍺👍
Wheat beer is my favourite style at the moment , only tried a hand full like erdinger, Edelweiss Hefetrüb on the sub , blue moon , franziskaner and the Lidil version Petronas. But personally my favourite is erdinger. What’s yours Paul ?
It’s a lovely style of beer but we don’t exactly have an abundance of readily available options in the UK. I’ve always enjoyed Franziskaner. And if you can find it, Ayinger Urweisse is lovely.
Weihenstephaner is clear in my opinion. It depends if you like the really yeasty, malty type or a “cleaner” flavour closer to a lager. They all have that signature smoothness.
Poured it wrong mate.Your suposed to at intervals swirl the bottle to get the settled yeast mixed in for a more concentrated flavour.Yeasts probably left on the bottom of bottle
@paulsbeerreviews Good review mate. Nothing wrong with the pour. Perhaps needed to be a tad more vigorous towards the end for a good 2-3 finger head. As for the Paulaner, I love it. Its probably my favourite weissbier. However, the one I always seem to get from the shops is the "Paulaner Weissbier", and this one has "Hefe-Weissbier" on the label. Any ideas what the difference is?
I’m not sure there is any difference. Weisse simply means ‘Wheat’ and Hefe means ‘Yeast’ which indicates it’s a non filtered wheat beer. I’m not sure Paulaner do a filtered version but if they do it will state Kristalweisse or weizen on the bottle. Hope that helps 🤷🏻♂️😆
@@paulsbeerreviews cheers Paul. Odd why they have 2 different labels. I'll try and get hold of a hefe-weissbier labelled one to compare with the just weissbier one. Excellent beer tho
Paulaner best of best, but not the best bang in middle amazing on draught, konig Ludwig also in this class,. Infact most are good even erdinger, if nothing else
@@paulsbeerreviews 🤣🤣 did I touch a nerve? Sorry mate. I am no expert. In fact I am not much of a beer drinker, but I do know that one should pour the beer in such a way that most head formation occurs in your glass rather than in your tummy. Of course the best drink is the one you like to drink, the way you like to drink so ... Cheers.
@@paulsbeerreviews ruclips.net/video/BuU_lMAIwbQ/видео.html I guess we are all right. Sorry for the narrow mindedness earlier. Guess I was having too much gastric problems with beer so I thought there is only one way to pour beer correctly.
The first time when I had this beer was when I was in Germany and it was the best beer that I ever had.

It is strange, isn't it?
This beer is a beauty, cheers!
Chuffed to see their Helles in Tesco now, can't beat those Munich beers bloody lovely. Hope you guys have a good Christmas, good honest reviews mate.
Merry Christmas to you too mate.
Paulaner and Hofbrau Múnich are one of the best hefeweizen beers with HB being my favorite.
Just bought four bottles of this from marks n spencer I need to get over Germany and get a pint of it lovely stuff.
You and me both 🍻
Love this beer! It's all that you said. Hope your doing well Paul. Cheers!
Thanks, you too buddy 🍻
I love a couple of Paulaner’s while watching the sun go down in Singapore after a hot day…
I have only seen them in cans here in Canada. Cheers!

Hope you had some Alt beer while in Duesseldorf, the beer style they're known for. A sadly overlooked style with many brands in just one city !
Very difficult to find here in North America.....often its like seasonal..........buy it when you can ....Paulaner the smoothest Hefe
Paulaner hefe is so incredibly good. Excellent review

@@paulsbeerreviews Samuel Smith's do a wheat beer that flies under the radar but can hold its own against the best Germany has to offer
I've tried Erdinger, Franziskaner and Weihenstephaner. My personal favourite is Franziskaner 😁 How would you rate this against Franziskaner?
Franziskaner is one of my favourite’s too. I prefer it to this Paulaner if I’m honest
Weihenstephaner is clear in my opinion. It depends if you like the really yeasty, malty type or a “cleaner” flavour closer to a lager. They all have that signature smoothness.
I had one of these for breakfast before catching the train to Munich airport..
which one is better Erdinger dunkel or this paulaner???
Best beer I’ve ever had since I don’t like really bitter beers.
Poured it wrong mate.Your suposed to at intervals swirl the bottle to get the settled yeast mixed in for a more concentrated flavour.Yeasts probably left on the bottom of bottle
If I had a penny…
I don't like beer but paulaner to me is something else.
Hell yeah man, everything else is not beer.
Good beer bro, cheers.
I put this in a blind taste test against the Weihenstephaner one, and I could differentiate them.
Also try Franziskaner Weißbier, this one's even better although this one is also pretty good already.
I like the Paulaner best. Also Fransicaner, Erdinger and Benedictumer are good
@@bartuutgrunn622 Schneider Weisse, have you had that one before?

Loved beer 🤩
Yeah😎😎😃😂🤣🤣
cough from banana? ernsthaft???
Bananas often make me cough. I’m not suggesting it’s the same for everyone 🍻
