    Thank you, your demo it is brilliant, I hope to do some when I get the yarn. And great to see how the yarn runs from the centre of the ball. Pity the yarn manufacturer's don't put a pull tab on the yarn when they are winding it, even a piece of contrast colour would help. Here's hoping it might happen . Senior citizon call me crafty.!!

    Thanks so much Anna finally succeeded in making a presentable dishcloth - appreciate your clear instructions. I had a lot of trouble with the cast off tho, and am now happy with the cast off where you transfer the first stitch to the second and knit it off - it is much neater and MUCH easier for me. 😂. Definitely worth buying you a cup off coffee, off to do that now, thank you!

      Yes, there is a learning curve but if you start with inexpensive yarn learning a few techniques you can progress to a beginner's project fairly quickly. I would suggest an easy hat like this one: ruclips.net/video/OFHkvMT1c5w/видео.html

    Thank you. Itbis very encouraging. I am having trouble with loops hanging. The tension is OK. Could you tell me what and why this is happening. Thank you so much

    • @AnnaHaferman
      @AnnaHaferman  4 месяца назад

      It's hard to say for sure but your yarn is probably too slack after you change colors. Either pull it back from behind the tension discs or hold it up when you start to knit until you feel it catch.

    Anna, can I ask you a question? The comb you hang on the first row seems to have an identical number of teeth, compared to your bed. Should this always be the case? I got a KH 260 but the number of teeth on the comb that came with it is larger, so they are closer together and do not fit that easy to the stitches on the bed. I can still complain with my seller now…

    • @AnnaHaferman
      @AnnaHaferman  7 месяцев назад

      The 260 originally came with a standard gauge comb, so when you line it up you should have two hooks per stitch. The bulky is 9 mm gauge and stand gauge is 4.5 gauge.
      It sounds like you got the right comb but I can’t be sure without seeing what it looks like.

    Just got my lk150 in the mail today! Does the tension mast settings have the same number as the carriage? How do you know what to set it on?

    • @AnnaHaferman
      @AnnaHaferman  Год назад +1

      Start in the middle of the dial and if the yarn feels tight while you are knitting, loosen it and vice versa. It’s not necessarily the same setting as the carriage.

    • @aymonharris5783
      @aymonharris5783 Год назад

      I'm knitting with weight 4. What tension do you usually use for that? It's so tight for me

    • @AnnaHaferman
      @AnnaHaferman  Год назад

      @@aymonharris5783 #4 yarns are often too thick for the LK150. Get some #3 yarn and it will be a lot easier.

    Thank u for showing small items. My machine sits in the room because the only thing I have seen is big projects. I’m ordering the yarn. In the mean time do u think any regular dishcloth cotton will be ok?

    • @AnnaHaferman
      @AnnaHaferman  Год назад +2

      If it is the right weight, it should work. I find that some of the dishcloth yarns are stiff and hard to work with on the machine, though, so do a small sample to see how it goes!

    Why don’t you use a ravel cord?

    • @AnnaHaferman
      @AnnaHaferman  Год назад +1

      Personal preference because it's an extra step. You can use it if you prefer. I use ravel cord if the yarn I am using is delicate or fuzzy.
      Thanks for watching!

    • @lizzieburgess674

      She is using a smooth cotton or cotton-type yarn as waste yarn and so she treats the final row of the waste yarn as a ravel cord.
