This music haunted my nightmares for years after boss battles. The game had some of the most punishing and satisfying boss battles of any I've ever played, and after I FINALLY beat it, I felt like a total badass.
heh go play spectrobe origins after this game, especially with this theme. back to back nightmare boss fights. ruclips.net/video/sgBHQRmWzUw/видео.html
The giant Beatle from Tawfret or the giant slug boss in that tunnel on Military Base Icho rare easy if you know their mechanics, but the Twin Mantis boss on Eschbone haunt me to this day.
I always wished Rare did a sequel. The third person shooting was ahead of its time imo. The music was excellent. Perfect for the theme of fighting an intergalactic insectoid army. Wish they did full player co-op and online multiplayer.
Makes me so sad. The only thing I hated about this game was that it was a pain in the ass to actually beat because you basically had to play the whole game twice, and the controls were super clunky at times with having to use the C pad; could just also be the limitations of the hardware at the time. But man, everything else about this game was fucking phenomenal and underrated. Imagine JFG remastered with newer controllers and maybe some quality of life updates. I would cry of happiness.
Just hooked up my n64 and played it for the first time in years, it truly deserved a sequel. Like conkers etc, its probably now going to happen@@stpvtrick5943
Juno: Boss - Whoa hes big but not too strong Vela: This boss wasnt too hard. Getting here was harder Lupus: Stop moving you freak robots! Why wont you die! Great im out of ammo Mizar: What do i do? What do i...Oh thats it? Mizar: NOOOO! *dead*
The worst part of Tawfret was the zombie bugs when I was a kid. Military Base Ichor it was getting to the slug boss, but manageable, but those twin Mantis bosses in the words of Deathwing from the Warhammer 40K series, *"BURN IN HOLY FIRE!!!!"* or *"PURGE THEM IN FLAME!!!!"*
This soundtrack always made the boss fights feel intense when I was young and the fact that they were really hard to land a hit on made it even more challenging. I remember dying to the bosses multiple times back then. Now, less than a year ago, I replayed it on the Xbox Rare Arcade, and beat each boss on the first try. XD Great music, great boss fights.
man the nostalgia... I still remember that the dog boss fight was the one I loved the most and being scared of the girl boss and being terrified of the boy boss dying sounds and his head exploding(?) and stuff
You can hear the blood splats, explosions, and classic gun firing sounds.
So much nostalgia
Dude those mantis’ were hard as hell to kill as a youngin lol
There is no mistake, I hear the boss when I hear this song. Me and my boyfriend beat this level a few weeks ago.
That's boss bro
mantis boss omg!!! many memories ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥹

You can also play it on the Rare Replay collection.

The mantis bosses were hard but Mizar was flat out unfair
WatchMojo put him on the "Top Ten Hardest Video Game Bosses" list for a reason.
@@kylestubbs8867 Holy crap, I didn't know that! I have to watch that episode now.
As I listen to it, I imagine the battlefield of a boss fight being right on a freshly crusted over lava lake.

Yeah, Lupus is pretty badass to survive his boss fight with low or no ammo for his weapons.

The best part about junos boss is that he ran like a little bitch LOL

Ooo que buena canción, hace mucho que no juego jet force gemini :D
Gracias lo estaba buscando
When I hear this the first boss that comes to mind is Mazar then the twin Mantis'. I don't even think about Juno or Vila's bosses.
Just replayed that boss fight last night. Very annoying, ammo wise. but, honestly, they're so fun to watch jump around avoiding their attacks.
