Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy, and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Milla's daughter is actually half-Russian, so in that way it was an appropriate casting choice. Also, the Ghost in the Shell trailer did not use the original version of "Enjoy the Silence." It was a cover by a band called Ki Theory, which was slower.

Imma let the autism out for this one lol. She is of mixed ethnicity, but not half-Russian. If anything, shes half Ukranian (give or take) because the soviet union was long gone by the time she was born, and her mother came from Kyiv. It also depends on which parent had the most dominant genes as to exactly how much gets passed down. But as far as nationality she’s about as American as postmodernist politicians who make up their own “facts” lol.

I usually watch your videos regardless if I have seen the movie or not but this was one I wanted to wait until I watch the movie. Glad to see this one finally.

I personally thought the movie was fine. At least five years too late, but fine for what it was. Florence Pugh and David Harbor made the movie for me.
Re: The "slim in your 20's" conversation - I'm currently in my 30's and was practically a stick up until my mid 20's. A few months back, my older brother sent me a photo of me at 18 and I still can't believe I was that slender.

I feel like the Black Widow movie is kinda like SOLO A STAR WARS STORY. Both characters had to die before they get their own movies.
The difference is that people actually asked for this movie, no one asked for Solo, and I say that as someone who liked Solo.
And both were unnecessary
Not really because marvel had been trying to do a black widow movie ever since the first avengers movie came out but stuff kept getting in the way and they had to keep pushing it back

After Captain Marvel, Birds of Prey, and Wonder Woman 84 left a bad taste in my mouth, I was pleasantly surprised by this.
I mean it's not great, but it was certainly better than those 3 Movies I mentioned.

The American version was superior in acting. However the original swedish movie had the best main female characters, at least visually.

I am in that movie and our original saying was Thunder and Lightning but, we got a call on set that Cars was coming out so Shake N' Bake it was. Also gone was our "How deep? Balls deep!" At the carwasafter we got our ride back, the concert that was originally supposed to be the Bacon Bros. then Chris Isaak, the original has more in it than the unedited/urated version for some reason lol?!
One of the first times I've seen Hollywood use a spooky version of a song in a trailer was High Tension using Sonic Youth's version of the Carpenter's Superstar

I prefer the crystal episodes. But yall are very entertainingly annoying. I love it. But more crystal.
Allow me to annoyingly and obnoxiously correct your sentence structure. When using the word "but" in a sentence it eliminates the need for a period before it. It's a small critique BUT you'll thank me in the future...in your head.
It's basically a female James Bond movie, with every spy action movie cliché they could fit in. All down to the shot of them running away with the explosion behind them.
It has more in common with G.I.Joe than any James Bond movie...

For people mad at the reveal for Taskmaster, I'd point at Iron Man 3 with the Mandarin. Later this year with Shang-Chi there will be a new version of the Mandarin (hopefully better), so there's room for a second Taskmaster to appear in the future too.

There was certainly some cringey dialogue, but to be honest it wasn't as heavy-handed as I expected going in... I did feel like this is sort of the final send-off for the original MCU, and it will likely be downhill from here with all the second-string heroes taking over.

Rebecca Gayheart ran over a 9 year old boy when she came up to a line if cars, without stopping to ponder why they were stopped, she instead passed all of them and ran the kid over. It was an accident, but she didn't serve one day in jail when she should have been charged with Manslaughter, but Hollywood! 😁
Anyway, great review, pretty much share all the same thoughts as me. Thought the movie was decent.

Double spoiler at 44:15 the Red guardian could have met the Captain America in the 80s since in Avengers endgame he return to the past and aged till 2023, so he was definitivly present in the 80s somewere

Recently learned that Tony Stark was cut from the film because they didn't want anyone to think that Black Widow needed help from a man. This is right up there with Doctor Strange getting cut from the WandaVision finale for the same reason.

Red Guardian's serum is different than Captain America's. The Super Soldier Serum closest to Steve's would be the one in Falcon and Winter Soldier. The Russians of the Marvel Universe often make knockoff versions that still work, but aren't as optimized or have negative side effects. Their synthetic adamantium is more poisonous than regular adamantium.
Also, Crystal's best Widow and Newt is best B'wana Beast.
