I was lucky enough to witness this stuff every Friday night while in HS
I played O-Line and the the story is always the same. If your center is a dominant alpha dog, it lends itself to rest of the line and makes all of them a different kind of monster. And when all of them are on the same page you have a type magic that only comes very few times in any career
100% agree. I remember a few years ago when the Raiders brought in Rodney Hudson. It changed everything for us. Guys just got better our of no where.

The Chiefs drafting Trey Smith in the sixth round - was the steal of this draft. Humphrey was the unexpected gold nugget which fell to the Chiefs.

They said Linderbaum was a generational, first round talent at center like we didnt see Creed slip to the second round though he was a top 20 talent.
No Creed was the best Center I had seen in like 10 years. Linderbaum was good, really good. But Creed was different. The guy that has been the closest to Creed was Powers Johnson this past year. Landon Dickerson was close too, but Dickerson is at Guard now. JPJ is also supposed to be a G. Those guys are just different.
Mitch Morse was pretty good too! GM an HC have done a good job identifying quality talented centers.

I’m still utterly confused and disgusted he was just sitting there late in the second round for a team as talented as the chiefs to steal, when there’s teams like Buffalo whose only weakness is their interior line passing on him TWICE, that trash line can’t run block for shit and it kills your team every year and you pass on creed? Wuut. they took 3 fucking edge rushers with their third one being the 3rd out of the last four high picks and they still passed on a all pro talent center. 3 edge’s taken with top two round picks, cause nah who wants a all pro center. I just don’t get it, if you are the giants why the fuck pass on him, if you are the bengals why pass on him, I just can’t wrap my head around it. Such a safe easy pick and so many teams messed it up. I will never forgive the Steelers for passing on him. I couldn't believe he was still available when we took Muth.. then we take freaking Greene🤦🏻♂️. And then I hear the KC Chiefs select CrEEEEd Humphrey well no freakin shit! We should have took Creed in the 1st then Javonte in the 2nd. I was hoping that would be our plan instead of giving in to the fans and drafting Najee in the 1st when Najee is just as damn good. But nope we pass on a once in a generation Center and take an RB who is awesome but RBs are replaceable

You hear ppl say what good does a great o line do if you don't have talented skilled players around them... a horrible o line can make great players look horrible and a great o line can make shitty player look great. Offensive line is the #1 key to having a playoff team especially when you have a rookie QB or Trubisky as your starter. I just hope Pickett and Najee can stay healthy with this line. I have a feeling we are going to ride the wheels off Najee and he will have a short career
