I agree that playing simultaneous for action phase is a bad idea, but if you play in turn-order, the game is fun and good. For the monster's fighting part, you are expecting to collect most of the weapons/items BEFORE you explore the monsters, rather than just test your luck; otherwise, simply test your luck, as the action is always available as long as your character stays there. As for the SEARCH action, it is deduction based on player's actions in the beginning, and is compensated by coins for all misses. The game is better than many other games, and giving it a 4/10 is not too fair.
reminds me once again of the video game industry, releasing stuff that requires patches to play - thanks Mike! Why did they call it Philosophia? I think that they should buckle down and fix this, it looks like it could be a really cool game
and apparently, not even good enough to do a solo review of :) I am so shocked that they even did a sequel. Had to forward this review over to the publisher/designer. Hopefully, they take a lesson from this.
yup, as a graphic designer this looks disjointed which is a shame because the game clearly took some inspiration on ukiyo, hence the title and the heavy use of japanese print art... but i felt they failed capturing the look, feel and essence of the ukiyo art as a boardgame and i feel that I have to side with Mike's assessment with this

The game is definitely 8/10
Too many games are going to crowdfunding before solid development has been done.
I got sent this randomly and due to time I put it aside with a sixth sense feeling that it was going to be bad. Guess I dodged a bullet!

Played this with Mike at the DT Retreat and I agree with everything he said. So much potential.
So how is the solo? If any

Good review, bad game.
