Look up the Cornfield Corvette, he was making black smoke way before black smoke was cool...

I still think she's got a shot. I got her to the floor. We're doing zero miles an hour ..... NOOOO.... Best intro line ever! 🤣
Quite the adventure, but you got through it. So nice to see classic iron once again running.
Country life love that 1971 GMC Truck keep up the good work Billy Lizza Uniontown pa
I know you’re a busy man, but I wish you posted videos more often because you really do make fantastic and interesting videos. I’m not one to judge about lighting or sound, I truly just care about the content. Winter sucks.
Excellent way to show you are back on again. This trip would be challenging enough in warmer weather.
That took a lot of nerve to take off on that trip, especially in the dead of winter in such remote conditions! 👍
Nerve is one word, this trip was a bit much TBH... Love the adventure but it was awfully cold. I trust the Jimmy, the rest not so much when it is that remote..
I hope you don’t shut the truck down anymore! Let her idle all nite. Just pull the throttle out a little because Detroits at minimum idle will score the cylinder walls.
Hopefully Vid #3 is still in the works?
I'm planning a 'will it get home' trek to Oroville, WA in May...hopefully it'll get back to Eugene....
Where is part 3???
Stoked for the next video! Glad to see you back!
when I brought my MCI bus home from Wyoming in January 2020, the first day was just cold but heat worked great, the next day I drove 10 hours in freezing ran, so I feel for you, Had to buy 2 new 8D batteries before I could get going on the second day
What cool memories you will have ounce in a life time trip how neat 👍🏻
Dang , I dont know if you can tell where ur subscribers live. But I live just 80 miles west of Glendive. We could have fixed everything here. Or at least holed up long enough to get warm.
Great content! This is eerie however, lost a friend of mine a year ago could've been a twin brother, attitude and get 'er done attitude! Die hard Detroit/GMC man. Good luck!
I live in N ID and worked the oilfields in ND, I know exactly how much that drive can suck in the winter.
You sure got your exercise in on this adventure
Nice one mate good upload can't wait for next part. I North Dakota had a lot of snow think it still has I live over here in the Highlands of Scotland. I have a freind who lives in North Dakota he showed me the drifts and how much Snow was outside his place. 👍
damn been there before, just got to be safe and keep on keeping on
It sucks that the steer tires couldn't hold up for the trip, but sometimes "ya gotta do whatcha gotta do" and replace them. Bad steer tires can be a widowmaker. You probably would've gotten just a small bit of better fuel mileage without those big azz float tires on the front and went to some standard sizes. Unless you're going to do quite a bit of soft soil driving when you put it to use, you probably don't need them. Also when you stopped at that truck stop for the night and had to fix the hitch in that cold, it might not have been a bad idea to have not shut the truck off and just let it idle at just a little above idle rpm. I used to work for a company back in the 1980s that had a fleet of Mack R and U models that were mostly the same age as that truck. During the winter conditions like that, we would just let them idle when they were parked in the yard so not to have battery and starting issues. Glad to see you rescued that old GMC.
I was thinking that attempting an 1800 mile trip on 26 (at least) year old tires might not be such a great idea....
Definitely tack weld bolts on the hitch if at all possible. If you can't take it to someone who can. It's mandatory on all safety appliances in the railroad. Torch the bolts off when finished with 'em. Neat old Jimmy. Shame the alternator is giving out.
That truck needs a lot of sound deadening material.
Nice to have your Adventures back 🙄
Thanks you for video
you dont give up easy do yah !
love the vids
Just a thought, its possible after sitting for 26 years there could have been some gunk built up in the fuel lines that caused the filter to get clogged up.
THOSE TRACKED THINGS I WANT THEM
The Montana I remember.
Great attempt!
Where is the next video? been 3 weeks lol
You can't take a couple of tires from the back and put on front? I wouldn't think the camper had that truck fully loaded.
AWESOME job love this old rig. Was it a switcher truck at one point? Looks like the 5th wheel lifts up? Appreciate ya SHARING with us... still have the mack cabover?
I think it did do some yard duties or maybe rail duties at one time
Did you ever consider strapping the generator behind the cab and letting it run with charger hooked to battery?
Yes, that was an option I should have done....
Awesome video, but man this seemed miserable…
Where's part 3?
What was that red car in the garage at the seller's house??
Opal GT....very swoopy cars...like a mini Corvette.
Hey buddy wbats the purpose of the ride with your trailer anyways?
Truck is going to be a farm truck, we are 8 road miles from side to side.
Trailer will be our house while we are there. We sold the house...
Why'd you sell your house mate
@@countrylife4195 thanks. You make really cool and exciting videos

so wheres part 3? left us hanging for 7 months now and your video after was about combines in a junkyard????
Just weld the shit out of the hitch
Had to take it off, welding would have been ideal
