    I just wanted to thank you! i watched your seminar over and over during the last 5 weeks of my pregnancy. I used all of the tools in your video along with some other videos and meditations i found. I was induced on Friday 16th October at 41 wjs + 6. As overdue as i was, i was in such a calm and positive place. Throughout my labour i could hear your voice and i breathed all the way through. I honestly believe that because i stayed calm ,my baby stayed calm amd relaxed. I delivered my baby girl after only 2 hours after induction. She weighed 10lbs and i hadnt no pain relief 😄 thank you so much for creating this video, it really helped me manifest my ideal birth!

      I hear you. I lost my partner almost 7 months ago now… it’s not easy hearing how important a role they were supposed to play in our lives as new parents. How can we go on this journey without them? How are we supposed to feel when we are constantly reminded of their absence? It hurts, a lot. But that’s okay… I promise it will be okay.

    im only a short way in so far but an important question poppded up for me...i have ocd and it sometimes leeds me to obbsess on thoughts so doing the aaa.bbb thing would probably not work for me as it will end up keeping me more awake and on a mental tangent...is there another version thats more free than the alphabet should i just come up with my own similar process but different focus.

    • @BaileyGaddisDoula
      @BaileyGaddisDoula  7 лет назад +1

      That such a great question. I would recommend trying these two strategies and sticking with the one that works best:
      1.) Visualize the rhythmic ebb and flow of waves in your mind. You could even pretend that you hear them in your mind's ear. This stays away from your mind being required to think about letters and will hopefully lull you into calm.
      2.) Visualize yourself moving through your ideal birth experience. You can pretend that you're floating above yourself or watching the birth experience like a movie. See how easily you breathe, how organically your body opens and releases and how healthy you and baby are.
      Feel free to email me at BaileyGaddis@yahoo.com with any questions - I could also make a custom 10 minute relaxation recording for you :)

    Breathing is incredibly difficult for me due to a deviated septum. How would you advice someone to get the benefits of the breathing techniques that can not breath out of the nose more than 20 percent

    • @BaileyGaddisDoula
      @BaileyGaddisDoula  5 лет назад +3

      NICOLE SWACKHAMER Great question Nicole! If you can’t breathe out your nose, purse your mouth (like your have a straw in your mouth) as you’re breathing out your mouth, making the exhalation as slow and controlled as possible.

    I would benefit from a hypnobirthing explanation without going into the all the negative common associations with birth. We already know that stuff And when we talk about it it brings me to that place.

    • @BaileyGaddisDoula
      @BaileyGaddisDoula  3 года назад +4

      I totally hear you, and that’s great that you’re aware of where those negative beliefs come from, but many women aren’t. And for them, becoming aware of where those beliefs come from is an important step in reprogramming those beliefs, and limiting exposure to sources that provide negative misconceptions about birth.

Let's focus on the health and safety of all people who give birth, whether they identify as women or not, and of the health and safety of their babies. Sheesh.
