Thank you, clearest video yet… sadly I’m trying to find where the AC condenser plug goes in. I’m having to rebuild my harness and that was damaged…no one shows it lol
Great job MikeGarageFix . I just did mine this weekend. I am 65 and have been doing work since I major in Auto in high school that is a while, with time one able to see ahead in the job. So I appreciate your time in helping others. After I did the job I looked to see if there were any uploads. Yours was the only decent one. Everyone has their own curve of knowledge and it gets better with time and experience Carmelo Perez is correct as to pulling off the right fan for access. Two 10 mm on top and one 10mm on the bottom( 10mm wrench racket bottom ) unplug wires After one removes the bottom plastic guard. Then it is easy access to hoses and 4 main bolts and up it comes. I glad he made amends. Someone ask about how to pop off belt. Back top of alternator 14mm main bolt just loosen, front tensioner bolt ( 10mm ) then beside tensioner bolt on right under alternator is 12mm bolt just loosen. Push alternator down and just move belt off only off compressor and leave just off to side It will pop on easier when new compressor is dropped in. I always spray first with WD 40 to move rust and water. Then I hit again with a penetrating catalyst. When putting nuts and bolts back on I apply a no - seize lubricant you never know if one has to remove for another job for easier access. Thanks again MikeGarageFix we appreciate your time and commitment. Great
I appreciate the reply to MikeGarageFix, it is nice to have someone giving advice to him without bashing everything he does. Most people are just trolling and saying negative things.
You didnt need to remove the alternator nor the steering wheel pump nor the bracket. just remove the fan in front of it and loosen the tension at the alternator. finally loosen the two nuts from the ac hoses then the 4 bolts that hold compressor. it took me 25 minutes to pull it off.
I appreciate your help on this one, from watching your video it looks a lot easier than I thought. Also could you explain how you removed the belt to the AC compressor? Thanks
@MikeGarageFix I apologize man. please forgive me. im going to subscribe to your channel. by the way, you should buy a headheld camera and go to the junk yards and do videos on how to take cars completely apart. thats my hobby on the weekends. just get yourself some power impact gun battery powered and also a grinder to cut stuff off. i can pull an engine from a car in 1.5 hours. just pay $3 admision to junk yards and you can do whatever you want on cars you like.. this will get you 1000's of youtubers. good luck.

Did you need to recharge the system after changing compressor?
