There are some R12 replacements you can buy from RedTek. They work great.

@@brianmcg321 Thanks Brian. Fixing a 1992 Accord is too costly compared to its market value, so planning to sell it to the govt for 1,5k. Great to know there is something out there though!

@@marcosmolina8638 hey Marcos, how did you release the r12? I was told by the mechanic I needed to use a machine to pump out the old refrigerant, as it was hazardous. Please let me know if possible, as I want to do it

@@vammyhouse5206 my 90 honda accord ac was blowing hot air so i also asked my mechanic he told me same story that i had to remove old refrigerant for a hefty$ price so i have nephew who works at car shop he has experience doing this kids a good mechanic took my car to his house with new r134a kit which was just different adapters for hook up point he removed air valve my car had pressure still so he told me that i didnt have leak so he waited for all presure to realease he then installed new hook up point for r134a connection and new air valve he then filled her up with recommended ozs of r134a the way i fill my other cars with r134a and it worked so videos say it will leak out cause refrigerant is different but it worked on my 90 accord lx just make sure you dont have leak in your system or else you'll leak out all new refrigerant like i said my car had pressure in system so i new i didn't have leak, realised all pressure then i installed new tip and new air valve i would ware gloves and safety glasses saved me like 400$ dollars im no mechanic but i like fixing my own cars good luck man
