The Heleus Cluster is only a small fragment of the much larger Andromeda Galaxy we have yet to fully explore, this explains why the Kett and Angara are the only new aliens we've encounted as of yet.
Andromeda is by no means a perfect game, there's tons of graphical mishaps, glitches, plot holes, forced dialogue. But, I can't bring myself to hate it like alot of people have.
It's really my kind of tune. Very subtle and minimalistic. If it wasn't for the fact that Uncharted Worlds was so iconic (and hella catchy), I would be 100% content.
This is awesome. People need to stop comparing this new stuff to the old stuff. They're not the same story. Commander Shepard had 3 amazing games dedicated to him. This is the Ryder's story. It's their turn. So let's stop comparing music, voice acting, characters, ships and worlds to the original trilogy. Peebee (not sure if i spelled it right) will never be Liara. The female Turian and Krogan will never be Garrus and Wrex. The Tempest will never be the Normandy. The new enemies will never be the Geth, Collectors or Reapers. They will all be their own. There should be no comparison.
It's only natural to compare when the original trilogy's galaxy map music was so awe-inspiring. I agree that the styles are different but that doesn't make them objectively incommensurate. I don't think a fair judgment is possible until I can see the galaxy map with the music playing so I can see the full extent of what they're going for, but just listening to it I can say that they did a fantastic job again.
YAY! I'm so happy with this music. I was worried that they would completely change it. But this REALLY is the spiritual successor to the ME2 galaxy map music! PERFECT!
Can we talk about the black hole in Andromeda? It seems to be so large that it looks like it could destroy some of the habitable planets in a few short years. You see it a lot when exploring.
C Brutuck yes and definitely really goes very good with the space traveling cinematics and looking for deposits and resources it really made me feel like I was traveling the the impossible to reach universe that’s thr one thing I loved about this game and that message of the reapers HOLY CRAP! Talk about nostalgia hitting hard a cross my face which can also give a future hint maybe there could be more reapers out there!!!!!
If you can't hear the similarities between this and Uncharted Worlds, get your ears tuned. Uncharted Worlds was even slightly different between all 3 trilogy games.
It's beautiful. Perhaps I'm more nostalgic for the older galaxy map music but I find mind the change. It's certainly the type of music I could listen to for hours
I like this, it is even better than Uncharted Worlds. It makes me feel.. adventurous and conveys so much mystery! To tell you the truth I felt something similar as when I first heard the Ilos "Vigil" theme which is still unsurpassed and my all time favourite "Tallon Overworld" from Metroid Prime.
It's a nice piece of music, still has the uncharted worlds feel but has it's own approach. As this game is centred around exploration it's a nice fit for the amount of time you'll dedicate going between planets
i loved the galaxy exploration music in Andromeda! i have a huge exam in two days and this music is really helpful, makes studying easier somehow, thanks for uploading! :)
All this destructice hate for the game does not make sense at all. It is just people saying "this is bad", "characters are bland" and "combat ist weak". You know what? Play the game. Writing is adequate, dialogues are good and finally the character you play has a real personality and background. Shepard never talked about himself until Mass Effect 3 DLC made Liara ask him/her how he/she feels about everything. Wow. Enter Andromeda: You have a family, you can choose to care for your father and your twin; you can talk about your ryders past with other characters and identify yourself with him/her a lot easier. The original Trilogy was Art, but did not do some things which I now see in Andromeda. I get really upset with all the hate which has much less substance than it sounds like. I don't want to "fight" with you but you are wrong. At the very beginning of Me1 already, you have to choose your story, and then there's an impact of your past in the story: for example if you choosed being an orphan, your old partners of crime you used to work with in order to survive comes back and causes troubles, etc. There are many other examples, just replay the trilogy
Yet, the one thing that was troublesome was that, sure we got to choose Shepard's past, but we didn't know too much about it. It was just another piece of this person that was somewhat hard to relate to. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore the original trilogy, but there's also a lot to consider here. I just finished a back to back playthrough of the trilogy, and then immediately after played through Andromeda for the first time, and I have to say that it blew me away with just how solid it was. The combat felt fun and intuitive. The crafting system was a fun and different play on how the research in ME2 worked, plus it didn't feel like I NEEDED to do it, so it wasn't always in the back of my mind. The story and characters I personally found to be fun and engaging. Each kept me hooked into the game and just made it a great experience. It felt like Mass Effect, but it also felt very alien. That's not to say that the game was without its faults. There were MANY bugs and glitches I came across while playing. Mainly stuff that was easy to overlook (and one completely mission breaking bug, which sucked ass) and the faces and their animations were just... off. It's something that I came into the game expecting, though, and that could have easily dulled that shock for me. Having looked further toward Bioware and their teams after ME:A, it's also good to see that they aren't considering this a reason to stop making mass effect games. They understand they fucked up in places, and are (hopefully) going to do better in the future.
Fasten your seatbelts, grab your trusty M8-Avenger (no don't grab Vetras' ass!) and get ready. The hype train arrives in the Andromeda Galaxy in a few days.
Goes perfectly with reading about the planets! Everytime I hear this, I think about that poor little dwarf planet that will eventually be consumed by the black hole
@@DrumToTheBassWoop We explored like 0.0001% of Andromeda Galaxy in the game. So much potential to explore in potential sequel/spinoff. Fun fact: Council Races in Mass Effect 1-3 explored only ~1% of stars in the Milky Way!
Reminds me a little of Spore's galaxy map atmospheric, mixed with Uncharted Worlds (I'm certain you can hear part of that song in the background). Really great!
Uncharted worlds is great and all but every single time I hear it I just get these dreaded flashbacks of countless probing and mining. And running out of fuel. And multiple side quest errands for ME3 to boost up my war assets. Oh man. I'm glad they went with something fresh and new lmao.
I think this is the only track that I really liked. Dreamy and ethereal. The rest of Andromeda OST is really bland. I'm really surprised there weren't even music scores for each character...
Okay, finished trial partially into Eos. Did all the galaxy map it would allow me to. I really like it! However, I want a patch where I can optionally or at least on NG+s/future playthroughs, turn off the movement transitions. I LIKE THEM, but I can see them getting very tedious on second+ playthroughs. And the music works, by the way. Really conveys the sense of being from the Milky Way, but lost in your circumstances in somewhere else, where everything is a bit 'dark space' to you.
Hey Masseffectfollower, please check out the following. This will blow your minds. In the Movie Interstellar @ 1:06:09 into the film, it shows Gargantuan, the super blackhole. It doesn't sound quite as memorable as Uncharted Worlds. I'm playing through the original trilogy now and I just can't help but tap along to the beat. It was simple and easy to follow and wasn't overly complicated as a theme. I just don't see the longevity with this theme as pretty as it may sound. In my opinion, they should have kept the original galaxy map music out of tradition. It was such a joy to see the theme return in Mass Effect 2 the first time I heard it. (Plus people opposite of you would probably flip shit if Bioware did that "cause they're too lazy and reusing old things"
Of course, I can understand it, but I'm not sure I agree with it. Reboot as it is, I think just a little bit of attachment perhaps in music would have really sealed the deal and would have said, "This is still the world you love" - sections of the Spectre Induction come to mind, since it's a common leitmotif in the games. I know though, it's a brand new series. My question is will there be an iconic track that will be present through this series.
Played a little bit of mass effect 1. Was pretty fun but don't think I beat it. Bought adromeda regrettably, as I've only completed about 35% of the game and haven't played in 2 weeks. I could swear I can head Uncharted Worlds at intervals, or at least a small nod to it inside the music.
Arcadia Prime I hear it to. It's a nice nod to what made the galaxy map so fun to be in from the original trilogy
I mean, it's pretty obvious. It's exactly the same pattern.

This might use a similar beat pace to uncharted, but that's about all it does. Don't over sell it.
You sir have a musical ear. Certain rhythms are the same and some are the same from uncharted worlds and slowed down.
I never thought they could beat uncharted worlds... until now. I think someone on the orchestral team has been communicating with Sebdoom.

Possibly. Yes it has a nice synthwave touch on it, I think it's one of the best songs of the ost with the main theme, Jaardan and Undiscovered.
Track name is 'Heleus' on the OST if you are looking for it.
Never expected them to successfully replace uncharted worlds but I love this track!
I like this new music I feel it fits the tone of Andromeda.
