I'm a light sleeper and would hate that, so I prefer during the day. Then, by the time I go to bed, should be better. I'm only on tray 2, but so far it's not been too bad. But whatever works for each person!
I’ve had my Invisalign for almost three months now, and I just got back from vacation myself in a foreign country. It was tricky because meals and snacks were not a practical procedure. Hands have to be clean, mouth and teeth should be brushed. So there were moments where i am or was without my Invisalign for a few hours. But for the most part I’m pretty diligent about the whole thing. I started experiencing dental issues bc of my overcrowding. My parents couldn’t afford me braces growing up so being 33 and able to afford braces after years of hard work make it all worthwhile. I needed three additional extractions, and it’s been quite the journey so far. I can’t wait to stop covering my mouth out of weird insecurities when I laugh. I am excited for your journey and can’t wait for you to share with us! It’s like we are doing this together! 😊
3 extractions?! I just got my invisalign this week and 1 have 1 extraction in the front and theres buttons on the teeth surrounding it. Feels like I'm gonna pull my bottom teeth out when I take out my liners
I am finishing in 2 weeks. I use denture cleaners to clean them too. The biggest help I noticed and made my life so much easier was using the Colgate Whisps. They are mini toothbrushes with the toothpick. It eliminates carrying a toothbrush and toothpaste. You don't even have to go to the bathroom to do it. Its sooo much easier.
I’m so glad that you filmed and posted this! I just had my xrays and photos yesterday to get Invisalign. I’m betting that I’ll also need 20 of the attachments too, so it makes me feel better knowing that it isn’t that bad. And yes, please continue to share your journey!
Commented this on your Costco haul when you mentioned getting Invisalign but figured it would be better suited here. I finished my Invisalign treatment in April (had it for about a year). Soak your Invisalign in 3minute denture cleanser while your brush your teeth at night, and when you wake up in the morning. You’ll thank me later, no matter how much you brush your teeth and trays they WILL smell and the denture cleanser takes care of it. When you go to only wearing them at night after your refinements end soak them in overnight denture cleanser. I do it everyday now and it works wonders. Also you CAN drink coffee with invisalign (not super hot though because it’ll melt the trays) the only downside is it’ll stain the trays but if you’re brushing them and changing them every week like I did, it’s not a big deal to drink coffee. And if you’re on the fast track staining won’t happen super quickly and by the time they start to stain it’ll be time for you to change them. I drank coffee and soda with mine in and had no issue with my trays at all. You’re teeth WILL hurt especially once they put on the attachments and as the weeks go on. I had 17 attachments all over my teeth and for a couple weeks out of my treatment I could only eat smoothies. My mouth was also very sore from where the attachments rubbed against my lips. I gargled the mouthwash that is for mouthsores (which is basically just hydrogen peroxide) at night to help the sores heal quicker and make it less painful. And put on anbesol which is a topical anasthetic if it was really bad so I could sleep. I also have the exact same K9 issue that you did. That side of my mouth hurt the most but it wasn’t unbearable. I also confess I never brushed my teeth before putting them back in during the day. It was too much of a hassle while at work and I did not get a cavity or have my dental health impacted in any way at the end of my treatment. I also had a couple days where I wasn’t able to wear them for 22 hours for the same reason had an event or wedding where it would be kind of awkward to take them in and out. the consequence was just that it was painful to put them in again but it didn’t mess up the process. Not recommending that of course just saying that it’s not as much of a big deal.
When she attached the brackets/attachments, the tool she used was a curing light. It's a bright blue light that helps certain dental cements and filling materials set up faster. 😊
@@jackienoon2130 yes they used that same blue light on me when I just had my braces and coil springs with a Herbst aplyance and rubber bands put on all my top and bottom teeth with headgear a white ago! The light was for putting all my brackets on my teeth!! I love the way all my braces and hardware looks with my glossy Brite hot pink lipstick!
Jess, your voice is so soothing - I could listen to you to you talk about anything. Don't even care about invisalign but you BEST believe I watched this whole thing LOL
I just finished my treatment in May and the trouble was 100% worth it! I didnt end up needing refinements because I was so mindful about keeping them in as long as possible! I also recommend chewys to help with that need to clench!
i know you posted this a year ago but today i was given the option of train track and invisaline i would obviously prefer invisaline but do you have to have a wire put on the back of your teeth after? or is that just some cases
@@freyascott1180 I know you posted this 2 years ago and might have already gone through Invisalign, but most orthos now don’t like the permanent retainers. It’s usually for kids to help with responsibility, etc. Plastic retainers are more the end goal for most orthos
Just got Invisalign today. So happy to hear the lisp will go away. My talking is what I’m most insecure about right now. As well as worrying that if I smile big they’ll be more noticeable. Thx for all the great tips as well as walking us all through your process & progress.
5 months later and I still have a lisp. It’s one of the things I wish I knew about before hand. Wearing a mask as well males it harder. I’ve become a very quiet person bc it’s just stressful repeating myself so much bc I’m misunderstood. Be prepared for that/
If the tray has a rough edge that cuts your tongue, you can take a nail fail and gently take a bit of the edge off, as long as it doesn’t affect the action area of the tray. You might call the office to ask about this, but this is what my orthodontist told me.
So had braces for 6 years as a teen and then didn’t wear my retainer, a gap came back and wanted to fix it! Got Invisalign and only had to wear it for 10 weeks, 5 trays, switched every two weeks! Use a nail file if there’s any sharp parts to your tray!! Good luck you got this girl!
Just finished Invisalign a month ago and I’m so glad I did it! I totally drank coffee with mine in, but I changed trays weekly so I didn’t have any issues with staining. Good luck on your journey, it’s so worth it!
I drink coffee with mine too, I just rinse my mouth really well and brush when I get the chance. Mine haven't really had any stains that don't come off when I brush. I'm on my 4th month out of 10.
Brittany Marie with hot coffee I take my trays out at my desk and soak my trays in my desk drawer till I’m done. I swig with water then put them back in. I know this doesn’t sound hygienic but it beats your coworkers asking why you go to the bathroom every half hour 😄
I had not commented before, but I watched these videos roughly a month ago when I was looking at different correction options. You are so informative and I greatly appreciate that!! As a result, when I started my own Invisalign journey this past Wednesday, I felt confident going into it!! I’m still having trouble with a lisp ( my husband says he can’t even tell), but I know this will be 10000% worth it when I get to the end!! I just wanted to let you know, you videos encouraged me that I CAN do this and there’s no reason to be worried about it!! So, thank you😁
Good luck! Make sure you wear each tray for the appropriate time. Don’t rush it! I did that and needed 2 refinements! Ugh. Made the process so much longer but SO happy I did it. Life changing!
Just started my Invisalign yesterday and I’m so happy you made this video because the only thing I wasn’t expecting was the urge to clench my teeth - I was worried it was abnormal but when you talked about it I felt so much better! 🥰
I get my first set of trays in 16 days 🤗. After watching this and the update, I finally went in for a consultation and signed up! Ill only need them for 6 or 7 months thank God. Mine was $4480 but ill only pay $1980 (insurance covers 2k and my ortho had a $500 off promo). $500 down and then monthly payments for a year
I have never had a good smile in my entire life. I have such huge gaps that it literally looks like i have a missing tooth on one side of my mouth. Just got invisalign today, it feels weird but im glad to be making progress. Jessica you really have good teeth even without the invisalign. Im so ready to have a good smile!!!
Hey girl thabk you for making a light hearted video of invisalign! I just got mine put on yesterday and watching your video took a lot of my nerves away. Everyone talks about all the discomforts but no one addrrsses that its literally not bad at all! Its like a 1/10 for discomfort Also, I only need my invisalign on for 13 weeks which is an amazing time frame! More people should be as positive as you are!
I’m a dental hygienist, they use a curing light to “cure” the cement for the Invisalign buttons onto the teeth. For clenching, try to think about putting the tip of your tongue right behind your front top two teeth, this forces your teeth apart, your teeth should be apart aside from eating
This was a video I didn't even know I needed. I've been thinking about getting clear braces for some time, and I just started a new job with dental insurance so I thought, why not. This was very informative and helpful, really encouraged me to contact my dentist and get the ball rolling!
Your „lisp“ is ok, not bothering at all! 👍 I‘ve seen people on YT you could hardly understand so bad was their lisp. We can be really happy they invent stuff like that to correct our „imperfections“. Good luck with this „project“, Jess! 👍💜😘🍀✌️💕
I worried so much about how my life would change but honestly I just learned to live with them. Currently on my 7th week and it’s much easier than I thought!
After watching the full video, i feel like i just got off the phone with my best friend. Girl….you’re awesome and you answered every question i had. Getting my Invisalign in next week….so nervous but like you said its about the lifestyle change more so than the actual procedure.
My fiance has Invisalign and I have traditional metal, self ligating braces. We are both 34 years old and are getting them because we've always needed them, we saved for them and we'd like straight teeth before we get married next year! He is nearing the end of his Invisalign journey and I look forward to watching yours. I can tell you that he complains only about his breath, LOL. Not so much about the pain. He says that every time he switches out trays that they feel a bit tight, but other than that it's been very manageable for him. Just remember to bring your case with you to take them in and out while you're out at dinner or events. I wasn't a candidate for Invisalign, so if you ever decide to go into full braces, or if anybody out there who is reading this is curious about braces as an adult, I'm happy to answer any questions or shed some light on them. I have about five and a half months to go with my braces and then they come off
My ortho told me (after I agreed to Invisalign) that the trays are the slowest way to move teeth and traditional metal braces are the fastest. I kinda wish I had explored that more, but now I am done.
@@gabgarc I have photos up on my Instagram if you want to see EXACTLY ( @garantamanda) but to save you scrolling through the photos, basically I had a pretty bad overbite, gum recession on one bottom arch tooth as well as severe crowding on my bottom teeth. Regular braces ended up being cheaper and I get them off way sooner than I would if I had Invisalign
@@lizzy6962 I think it's a little frustrated that my teeth actually moved quicker even though I got my braces put on after him LOL! He is annoyed that he has to take them in and out all the time and that he can't just sip on coffee with them in the way I can with my regular braces. But it's a given take on either side, because I'm constantly getting food stuck in my braces and that's annoying to me, where he doesn't have that problem. It just depends if you want your teeth moved really fast and you don't mind the look of braces. You should check out a channel called Emma Louise. She was a young girl when she started making her videos about braces but I suppose you could say she was technically an adult. When I was looking at the adult braces videos I found hers and even though there's close to a 16 year age difference between us it was nice to have somebody say some really positive things about traditional braces and having them at an older age. I would check her out because she's really sweet and it might make you feel more confident about regular metal braces
I’m so glad you’re doing this through an orthodontist. Nearly all of the negative Invisalign experiences I’ve heard of are from people who went through a regular dentist.
Ceralene my first set was through a general dentist and my teeth were straight but I ended up with an open bite in the back teeth. Because I wore braces before I knew something Nd was wrong so I spent and extra year with an orthodontist fixing my open bite and also found I had gained an over jet that had to be fixed as well. All together I have spent 2 years in Invisalign so I agree please see an orthodontist to do your Invisalign treatment. I finally love the results I have and finally about to go to the retainer stage 👌🏽
Yes please to an update! I’ve been so curious about this and most people don’t share enough details about how they’ve adapted their lives to Invisalign, but also adapted the Invisalign to their life. For example, still drinking iced coffee with a straw with them in occasionally, etc. I just feel like I’d be a slave to my trays and idk if I can live like that.
I really enjoyed watching. I’ve just signed up for Invisalign today and had my digital scans done .... I agree that it is so cool. Hope your journey is going well. Enjoyed watching your Vlog x
I'm getting my Invisalign trays on 10/3/22! EXCITED and looking forward to getting started. My teeth have shifted since having braces in my teens. AWESOME review and you answered lots of my questions as well. I was wondering about talking with a lisp. :)
And her content! I can't anymore with just makeup or wanting to buy everything out when that's not even a healthy mindset! It just feel like a honest friend
I had traditional metal braces as a teenager and hated them. So I totally understand the weird sensation of having something foreign in your mouth. It DOES get better! Straight teeth are worth the hassle, at least in my experience. As you start to see results, I'll bet it'll seem worth it. I wish you all the best with this experience! ~ Much love from Wyoming
So glad you uploaded this! I'm closing out my first month of invisalign. I'm enjoying the process for the most part now. I did experience pain at first (I have excessive crowding) but now it's good and I cant wait to see my new smile!!
1 year of invisalign sounds like heaven compared to what my poor teeth have been through. I’ve had 4 permanent molars removed, a jaw expander, brackets attached to 2 impacted teeth that were pulled down by braces, and over 5 years of traditional braces, then my 2 wisdom teeth removed. Even through all that, my teeth are not straight and never were!!! Due to chronic health problems, I’m now going to need crowns on my 8 molars (I just got the first when I broke a molar).
I had traditional braces a few years ago and if you haven't started yet, I urge you to take regular progress photos along the way. I took photos of my teeth before every adjustment (4-6 weeks) and it was so fascinating to see how quickly my teeth changed. Also, if you're ever frustrated by how inconvenient your invisalign are, you can look back at the pictures and see how it's already so worth it. I never knew before just how easily teeth can move. There was once or twice when I developed a small gap and sometimes my orthodontist would just wire the two teeth together and it would be gone......it was crazy.
Yes do multiple updates please! It's so interesting to watch, especially from someone who has had multiple dental surgeries and braces 3 times in her life! Great video!
With the cuts on the tongue. You can smooth the edges of the tray with an Emory board.... don’t go crazy with it but just gently smooth the edges that bother you. Also , KEEP ALL THE TRAYS!! Just in case. Keep them in the original baggies they give you with the number of the tray on them.
420gamerxnoscope69 just incase you lose one or even don’t wear them for awhile, you can put the tray before your current one in so your teeth don’t shift back to how they previously were.
Yes keep all the trays! The hygienist put all the change dates on all my tray bags, so when I am done with a tray I just put the old tray back in its bag & move on go the next bag. I am on tray 1, day 3 & it is a little painful, but the lisp (“LITHP”) is starting to wane. One thing I like is that I can’t snack! for me that is a good thing!
This was super helpful, I am week 2 of my aligners and my experience is basically identical to yours so far....20 attachments and this second tray is TIGHT!! But I said the exact same thing about not being able to mindlessly eat so that is a bonus! Most detailed and relatable beginner video I've seen thus far!
I can’t imagine who these philistines are that give your videos a thumbs down - as usual, you are a total delight! Good luck with the process...yes, more update videos, please!!
I had invisalign a few years ago & so glad I did!! I'd also put a new set at night. When I was done I had a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth & a removable retainer for top. And I make sure I wear my retainer every night. Even now I can't believe how much my teeth shift from the morning til bed. Good luck with the rest of your trays, you will LOVE the results!!
Video was perfect timing I’m getting braces for my 31 year old daughter as a gift to her and I think these would be perfect in her situation. Thank you
what happens to the tooth underneath that? does it ever stain? I was looking into invisilign so I didnt have that stain that comes from underneath braces
Yes, please to an update in a few months. I’ve been thinking about getting Invisalign for years. Thank you for sharing your experience! Great information!
I called the attachments my shark fins. And I totally did the swish around with water to keep doing a normal activity. I loved my end results 💕 Have fun in your journey
I just got my Invisalign today I need mine in for only 26 weeks to help with my TMJ and some crookedness. The soreness sucks but your video made me feel better because I feel insecure about my lisp. Great video!
@@karinaz.9182 still staining. Though a straw would help a lot. It’s really up to you if you care about the staining or not. It might be more or less noticeable depending on the colour of your own teeth.
I’m done with my treatment. My biggest tip is to get a good water pick!! If there’s anything in there, you’ll feel it. I grind too so it’s been good for me to sleep with my retainer at night. I didn’t have too much to move so it only took four months.
I just finished my Invisalign treatment TODAY! Super excited to be done, although I’ll wear similar retainer trays at night (permanent retainer wouldn’t fit behind my top teeth so I required one, so figured I might as well do the same for the bottom). My least favorite parts were the attachments (yup, I had some right in the font that looked like food stuck on there), the inconvenience/lifestyle changes (easier with time, but always a pain haha), the lisp never went away 100% for me (anytime I had a slightly dry mouth it would stick), and imprints/scars inside my mouth that seem to be long term now. I only had 13 trays but had 8 more refinement trays. No fast track plan for me. Never had an issue with smell since I kept up with cleaning them. Pain was never severe (I ate chewy/crunchy foods the whole time) but some trays were tougher than others, especially when removing them. Zero regrets and glad I finally did it! Definitely recommend it! 😊
Oh and I totally have done that about eating, swishing, and doing the full brushing later. I have also had diet sodas plenty of times with them in and it wasn’t an issue. I can SO relate to being sneaky and popping them off when people are nearby! I have had to do that at the office many times! 😆
Please do a GRWM featuring this look. You look stunning! Couldnt stop looking at your eyeshadow and foundation for the first half of the video! My favorite look of yours so far! And you always look amazing!!!
I'm on month seven of Invisalign and just like you I'm willing to take risks with staining 🤣. It's hard in the beginning learning how to dine out and work them into your lifestyle. However after the fourth week is when I was able to see movement, and now months later almost at the end it truly is life changing. I love the results and you will too.
I'm currently doing invisalign now, I'm on week 18 with 9 more weeks to go and I'm so excited for it to be over ngl. So excited that I can now watch your updates on it. Good luck with it!!!
Hi Jessica! So happy you are on this journey, but just wanted to share my story. I had Invisalign but the trays moved my teeth too aggressively and my gums ended up receding drastically, almost overnight. I ended up needing two gum grafts which was super expensive. This happened even with me going to the orthodontist every 12 weeks, so just be aware! Not trying to scare you at all! Wishing you all the best!
Jessica! This was so helpful. I have my consultation next Wednesday for Invisalign- my teeth are similar to yours as far as how off they are. I can’t thank you enough for posting this and putting my nerves as ease. I also added the items you bought to my next Walmart pickup order. Thank you thank you thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊
I just finished Invisalign! I totally agree with what you were saying. You get used to it pretty quickly and I wouldn't worry too much about not brushing your teeth every single time you put them back in. At the beginning I did but not going to lie, I got lazy! And I ended with no cavities! It will be worth it in the end even with the soreness with new trays!
I went the route of 6 Month Smiles instead of Invisalign because of the out of pocket cost & time frame. I didn't think I'd enjoy clear braces but I'm on month 4 & the difference already is so noticeable. It's amazing what they can do with Invisalign & clear braces for adults nowadays.
Just saying this in case six months smiles is one of those online ordering places where they don’t do regular x-rays. If you’re using a service that doesn’t regularly check your x-rays to make sure your roots are also aligning correctly, and also for places that move the teeth too fast, it can actually cause permanent damage to the roots of the teeth, and therefore cause your teeth to fall out. It can also cause some major bite issues- and that causes chronic pain and chronic jaw/headache issues. Not saying this to scare you. But to inform you so nothing bad happens. And also as a warning to others thinking about programs like smile direct club. In fact, my orthodontist told me that smile direct club has a number of lawsuits against them for exactly what I mentioned above. They advised me to steer clear of them.
@@SweetHeavensSunshine They were put on by my dentist/orthodontist. 🙂 I had to go back to the office monthly & get them adjusted & checked. My office did a great job being thorough & proactive but I’m sure there probably are some who don’t pay close attention to their patients & that’s problematic. So far so good for my experience. It ran to 8 months because they wanted to do a few more adjustments than planned. But yes, some of these companies need to require in person check ups for patient safety.
I used a new nail file and filed down any parts of the tray that irritated my mouth. The first few trays needed some filing but the rest seemed to be fine. Aleve has always worked well on my dental pain. New trays are always SO tight!!! That’s where the majority of the headaches come from.
Taking Aleve or Advil is not good; it makes it tougher for your teeth to move. Tylenol only. :) Always switch your trays at night so you can sleep through the "tightest" hours.
I just finished my Invisalign a couple months ago and don’t regret a minute of it! Nobody can tell you have them on but your mouth does look visibly different with them in. You do get used to it quickly.. the first week is extremely painful but if you survive that it’s not really painful afterward.. mine took 9 months and my top teeth were similar to yours but bottoms were way more crowded! I had tons of attachments and 2 on one of my front teeth which totally sucked because it makes them more obvious but still don’t regret it now that I have beautiful teeth!!
Your teeth have already changed so much! I like the weekly updates. I had invisalign as an adult too (after two rounds with traditional braces as a kid). I will have retainers at night forever. (I have one tooth that moves during every day. I suspect that means I should wear the retainers more hours each day.) The top one is like invisalign but a little thicker plastic. The bottom is traditional. Mine hurt the whole year! But I am glad I did it 😊
I am on week 2 of my Invisalign and I just changed trays Monday night to me second ones. I was soooo worried because they felt so tight and I didn’t remember the first trays feeling that way. You sharing your thoughts really helped me feel better and calmer!
The gun thing you mentioned around 6:00 is actually a curing light. It’s a little device that emits a blue light for 10-30 seconds (depending on the material) which cures the bonding material they applied to each tooth. It is used for every kind of white/porcelain/enamel material used in the Dental or Ortho office. It’s pretty cool
Getting Invisalign was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The part I hated the most was taking out newer trays after I had them in for a few hours. That was by far the most painful part.
This is what I’m struggling with. I’ve cried 3 times in 2 days because I can’t take them out and pulled 2 buttons off and barely eaten because of it. No one told me it would be that hard?!
I had braces for 3 1/2 years and my teeth are still straight since I wear my retainers. I have no need to know about Invisalign, yet here I am 😅 can’t ever miss watching one of your videos! 💞
Yesss! I don’t know how people go through braces then decide not to wear their retainers. I honestly can’t sleep without my retainers or else I feel like I’m clenching my jaw.
Esslam Taha when ur a young teen after getting braces off you really don’t want the feel of anything on your teeth. That’s my story but I’m sure there are some similar to that.
When I had braces I used "G*u*m Ortho Wax" to help with cuts on my tongue and cheeks. Hope it helps! p.s. I'm a new subscriber and I just adore you and your videos. From one Indiana girl to another, thanks for your beautiful mid-western spirit! I live in FL now and your videos are a little touch of home :)
I have used wax as well to cover the brace from scratching. I'm not sure of the brand I used because my dentist gave some to me every time I visited so I never needed to purchase. I've also used Taisho, a Japanese brand, kounaien(canker sores) protective balm and/or patch when the cut actually happens.
Dr. Gorman is my orthodontist! He started in my hometown of Marion! He is amazing! My case was really complex and I’ve been really happy with my results so far! I have had my Invisalign for 3 years now so I can give you all my tips and tricks!
just happened to come across this and was told yesterday that my best option is to start invisalign since i didn’t wear my retainers after braces when i was a kid. REALLY frustrated with myself but i’ll do better this time! so glad i found this from a channel i already love. thank you for sharing!
I just got Invisalign too!!! I'm on my second tray and I will go back in two weeks to get my attachments and something called IPR (where they shave between the teeth to make more room). I should have mine for 12-18 months total. It's so nice to hear that you're experiencing some of the same things! I'm a teacher so it's definitely difficult to make time to brush my teeth during my 25 min lunch, but I'm doing the best I can :)
I am considering Invisalign and had concerns about not having time to brush during my quick lunch as a nurse. It’s good to see someone dealing with the same thing. I’ll also have to have some teeth shaved down and I’m worried about that. How did that go for you ?!
So weird that you posted this today. I was just talking to someone this morning about Invasline and how we wanted to get it but we both had so many questions!! Thank you!!
I know you posted this video over a year ago, but your Invisalign videos have really helped me to have more awareness with preparing for my journey with Invisalign! You're actually my favorite Invisalign reviewer out of all I've watched (and trust me, I've watched a lot)! I just got my trays and fitting yesterday morning, but I already feel like an expert going into it because of all your practical advice! I'm wearing each tray for 2 weeks, so I'll be sure to stick to a rigorous cleaning regimen haha. Thanks again for your help!
omg yes! The iced coffee was so relatable and the whooshing out with water and the dental floss at night. You gotta do what you gotta do to maintain. My orthodontist told me its just recommended for water but realistically youre changing them every week and through a straw and the stains are minor.
I got invisalign as a teenager and always recommend doing a follow up a couple months after you are done with them. I had two retainers but one didn't work properly and my bottom teeth shifted so I had to go through the whole process for another 3 months to fix the shifting.
I am watching this video so late but thank you so much for doing this video!! I will be getting Invisalign in a few months and I am so glad to watch this and know what to expect!! Thank you so much!! Can’t wait to see your results!!
I've had my invisalign for 3 days so far, it's incredible. The retainer I've been wearing for the past 4 years no longer fits. My plan is 17 sets, and should end by July. All my teeth hurt so much, but I'm so excited
I'm a dental assistant and have done Invisalign myself. Flossing is key. Floss floss floss. Brushing does about 50 percent of cleaning, flossing does 45 percent of cleaning and mouth wash is about 5 percent of cleaning. Brushing is always a given... Flossing is what you need to focus on doing if your not used to doing it daily. It's funny at the end of my Invisalign.. I missed them. Even the buttons. That's what we call them. Hope it all goes well for you. If you have any questions about anything just let me know.. love you Jessica.
This video is so helpful! I am on day 6 of this journey, I change to tray 2 tomorrow! It is not as bad as I thought it would be but I have cut down on snacking! After a few days, it has been easier to get the trays in and out this week but I did manage to get my top lip caught in the aligner once and I will take care not to let THAT happen again! YIKES!
I'm getting my invisalign in one week! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I'm worried about the whole snacking thing cause I snack a lot. But this was helpful! Thanks for the great videos!
Same! Snacking is like 75% of my diet. I’d have to change a lot when it comes to eating habits. I’ve considered Invisalign for so long but I still haven’t gone through with it.
I’m on my 5th day of wearing Invisalign. Eeeeks so exciting! You look beautiful by the way! You remind me of Sloan Peterson on the movie Ferris Bueller 🤩❤️💋 Thanks for sharing your experience! I appreciate this and it has been very helpful.
So glad you posted this! I had braces as a kid and my teeth are fine but they’re not how they used to be so I really want Invisalign to get everything back to perfect. I’ve been nervous about the process (idk why) so I just didn’t look into it at all haha
I came for the Invisalign tips... I stayed for your laugh! ❤️ You have a GREAT laugh! Thanks for the tips and making me smile (while I work on my smile)!
Thank you for this video! I had my teeth scanned today and go back in November to get my trays. I've been feeling a bit nervous as well and your video helped a lot. I was worried about all the buttons and how much they'd show up but I feel much better about that now. I'd love an update when you go back in March!
Very helpful video! I was thinking about getting Invisalign too! My cost was around the same as yours and because I turned 26 I no longer had insurance so that meant full price. Luckily, a few months later the company I work for gave us the option for dental insurance. Now I’m just waiting for approval! 🦷
I would recommend changing trays before you go to bed so you sleep through the first part.
I'm a light sleeper and would hate that, so I prefer during the day. Then, by the time I go to bed, should be better. I'm only on tray 2, but so far it's not been too bad. But whatever works for each person!
That's a great idea. Happy I saw this comment
Do it around 6 the day before. When you go to sleep it should start to get sore. Then sleep through the pain.
Thanks 💕
Great advice. I start in a couple weeks and I’m a bit dramatic 😬😅
Feels like I'm gonna pull my bottom teeth out when I take out my liners
do you feel painful when you put the first tray on? or just sore when you eat food only?
Omg I just got 4 teeth extracted today and I have few questions if you don’t mind asking
ruclips.net/video/Ob-Cdfoa6V4/видео.html WATCH THIS BEFORE YOU GET INVISALIGN
How dit it go since? Are you happy with your new smile? :)
I just order some hoping this is more easier
"It's a risk I'm willing to take"
My whole mood when wearing invisalign
Yeah its kinda annoying
I’m so glad that you filmed and posted this! I just had my xrays and photos yesterday to get Invisalign. I’m betting that I’ll also need 20 of the attachments too, so it makes me feel better knowing that it isn’t that bad. And yes, please continue to share your journey!
How is your journey going?
@@jackienoon2130 how long have you had braces Jackie and do you wear headgear too?
Morning glory, braces and trays have improved quite a bit since the 90’s though lol
Regarding the tray edges cutting the tung, thank you for the advice; I have a big problem with my trays.
I clench my teeth too! I can’t seem to stop
As a dentist and a long-time Jessica lover, this was so fun to watch through your eyes!! I can’t wait to see your dental transformation ☺️
$500 down and then monthly payments for a year
I wish insurance covered mine..I paid a fortune.
Its like a 1/10 for discomfort
Also, I only need my invisalign on for 13 weeks which is an amazing time frame!
Me tooo!
too! Have a tiny mouth guard fyi for 400
@@AshleyLamora gosh I put my tounge in between my two front teeth
Such a good tip with the tongue! Thanks
I have about five and a half months to go with my braces and then they come off
Amanda Garant if i may ask, why weren’t you a candidate for Invisalign?
My ortho told me (after I agreed to Invisalign) that the trays are the slowest way to move teeth and traditional metal braces are the fastest. I kinda wish I had explored that more, but now I am done.
Do you feel like it’s been easier on your fiancé with Invisalign or harder?
Loove the little leaves on the corner with your initials🍂 you are doing so amazing with your channel in my opinion!!!!
Mirelys Rios right? It’s the little attention to details that just makes me love her channel ❤️
And her content! I can't anymore with just makeup or wanting to buy everything out when that's not even a healthy mindset! It just feel like a honest friend
I didn't even notice that! It's lovely
I’ve had Invisalign and I’m still watching this 😂. I loved the results, and it actually took less time than they originally quoted.
i used invisalign for 3 years and did not work for me now i am considering braces
Michelle Lopez oh no! That sucks! Is your orthodontist giving you a deal or doing them free since Invisalign didn’t work?
I’m getting them next year & I hope they work!!
Michelle Lopez dang why didn’t it work for u??
I had traditional braces a few years ago and if you haven't started yet, I urge you to take regular progress photos along the way. I took photos of my teeth before every adjustment (4-6 weeks) and it was so fascinating to see how quickly my teeth changed. Also, if you're ever frustrated by how inconvenient your invisalign are, you can look back at the pictures and see how it's already so worth it. I never knew before just how easily teeth can move. There was once or twice when I developed a small gap and sometimes my orthodontist would just wire the two teeth together and it would be gone......it was crazy.
How did you manage to speak that clearly? My lisp is so strong and awkward, I sound like a 3 year old 😭
i never had a lisp, just a wet s for the first day but thats it
she had braces in her childhood so she's probably just used to it
you are without a doubt my most favorite youtuber.
Can I ask why you would need to keep all of the trays?
420gamerxnoscope69 just incase you lose one or even don’t wear them for awhile, you can put the tray before your current one in so your teeth don’t shift back to how they previously were.
Yes keep all the trays! The hygienist put all the change dates on all my tray bags, so when I am done with a tray I just put the old tray back in its bag & move on go the next bag. I am on tray 1, day 3 & it is a little painful, but the lisp (“LITHP”) is starting to wane.
One thing I like is that I can’t snack! for me that is a good thing!
peteyrulz1 I just started yesterday and legit my favorite thing is that I can’t snack. 😂😂😂
Thank you for this video. It is so comforting knowing someone else went through this same thing I will face next week.
Thank you
This is EXACTLY the review I needed! I'm so nervous but excited. Thanks for the honesty!
I’m a hygienist and we call the attachments “buttons” and the light they used is a curing light- it sets the cement a lot faster. Good luck!
what happens to the tooth underneath that? does it ever stain? I was looking into invisilign so I didnt have that stain that comes from underneath braces
Yes, please to an update in a few months. I’ve been thinking about getting Invisalign for years. Thank you for sharing your experience! Great information!
I called the attachments my shark fins.
And I totally did the swish around with water to keep doing a normal activity.
I loved my end results 💕
Have fun in your journey
Im about to get my Invisalign and this was super helpful!!! Thank u for being so informative and making all the little comments that we all wonder! :)
I had invisalign for over a year and it was so painful!!!! Im so glad that its not too bad for you ♥️♥️
Carla Swan that’s crazy! I had them and they didn’t hurt except for a few hours after switching trays!
I just got my Invisalign today I need mine in for only 26 weeks to help with my TMJ and some crookedness. The soreness sucks but your video made me feel better because I feel insecure about my lisp. Great video!
I hear ya girl! I am on week 8 of Invisalign and it hasn’t been easy! I totally understand the struggle with coffee! 😩
What about iced coffee?
@@karinaz.9182 still staining. Though a straw would help a lot. It’s really up to you if you care about the staining or not. It might be more or less noticeable depending on the colour of your own teeth.
For sure do updates at least 2 more I say every 3 months. And you should take pics every week and do a time lapse of the progress.
I’m done with my treatment. My biggest tip is to get a good water pick!! If there’s anything in there, you’ll feel it. I grind too so it’s been good for me to sleep with my retainer at night. I didn’t have too much to move so it only took four months.
My treatment was 7 months! I had braces for 1 yr as a teenager but a couple teeth had shifted since.
Makeup look from beginning up until 12:25 :)
Thank you for all the detailed info! You totally speak more comfortably than any others I’ve seen with Invisalign.
Ur the only persons ive seen a review on that i could not tell at all you had the plates-they blend in so well
Yes! Thanks for the heads up, I get mine put on in a month and I’m nervous that I won’t get use to them.
They seem tighter every time to me!
They feel tighter every time to me.
I’m never going to get an Invisalign, but I’ll watch anyway to support your channel!
Yeah and now you can’t seem to buy it anywhere
I just apply more of my glossy Brite hot pink lipstick on my cut 💋 lips@@joanbaczek2575
I have no plans to get Invisalign and probably won’t ever get them but I still need to see an update video!! Excited to see your progress!
Thank you!!
As a dental student and loyal viewer, I am so thrilled you made this video!
I've had them now for 5 months and they are GREAT! Had great Dentist I'm SO GLAD I HAD IT DONE! I go in every month and im fine with it
Can’t wait to see your results!!
so helpful. I'm ready to start my second tray so its nice to have a "friend" doing it with me :)
I got denture cleaning tabs to clean my trays. Works like a charm!!
Pro move👍
A lot of people say this however in the booklet I have it literally says not to use them.. I wonder why
I just got hot pink power chains put on my top and bottom teeth to match my glossy Brite hot pink lipstick and nail polish!
YIKES!
Your skin looks so fresh and dewy!! You are glowing!!
The 3d scan was actually amazing.
Thank u for this video. I'm thinking of getting invisiline myself and I'm trying to get as much info on it as possible. This video has been helpful
Very helpful video! I was thinking about getting Invisalign too! My cost was around the same as yours and because I turned 26 I no longer had insurance so that meant full price. Luckily, a few months later the company I work for gave us the option for dental insurance. Now I’m just waiting for approval! 🦷
