Having just gotten one of these blowers on the strength of reviews like this one, I think it's worth mentioning that the blower is rather badly balanced. It's front-heavy, so it requires constant effort to keep it tilted up enough to get any work done. I'm a pretty big guy, but it still gets painful after a while. Removing the nozzle tip helps the balance, but then the air stream becomes less effective. One might think that the strap would be a work-around, but it doesn't work well for me. If I put it over my shoulder on the same side as the blower, I can get a reasonable operating height, but then it tends to slide off my shoulder. If I put it over the opposite shoulder, then it feels good and doesn't slide off, but the strap is not long enough to get the blower far enough down to work well. Maybe it would be okay for a shorter person(?) I can't say, but it doesn't work for me at 6'-1". In all of my research, I've only heard one reviewer mention the balance problem, and I have yet to see anyone showing themselves wearing the strap. With that said, if the balance problem can be solved, it certainly is the most powerful cordless blower that I've ever used. I used an Echo PB-200 (gas blower) for many years and the EGO LB7654 blows that machine away, pun intended. Although it's only fair to say too that the PB-200 is way better balanced. I also have a Stihl BR 600 backpack blower, which is certainly more powerful and more comfortable, but I tell you, the EGO is strong enough to do stuff that was formerly possible only with a blower as powerful as the BR 600. And it's nice to be able to just grab the EGO when going back and forth between tools. No startup, no time required to "wear" it, and one never smells like smoke after using it. I can even step inside and blow stuff out the door, which I'd certainly never do with any gasoline blower. If any of you guys have any ideas about how to solve the balance problem, I'd be very grateful!
I have a corded Greenworks blower. 400cfm/270mph. Would this EGO 765/200 or even a Greenworks 700/170 be better? I have a lot of Greenworks stuff already… mostly corded. I just want to move the most of amount of leaves and debris in the least amount of time. What I have now works well, but it just seems to take forever to move everything.
Actually, I charged it after I finished that evening. The charger sounds like it has a fan in it so it makes a little bit of noise but I would say it charged it from empty to full in about an hour. I was very impressed.
i like mine but i have an issue with it, after about 4 or 5 minutes it shuts off and the battery flashes red, i have to wait a few seconds and it starts flashing after about 20 seconds, the battery has plenty of charge left and i also used a different battery and same issue
I've heard this same advice from multiple sources, but in my experience, removing the tip makes it quite weak for anything other than big leaves. I certain;y does help the balance, though, so if one has nothing heavy to blow, it might be worth considering for that reason alone. Although part of the reason that it feels better balanced without the nozzle is that the blower is producing less tipping force, so again, if one needs the force, removing the nozzle is self-defeating. And honestly, for the same money as the EGO 765 and an extra battery, one can get a gas-powered backpack blower that can do as much work at idle as the EGO can in screaming turbo mode. Watch out for specs, because the numbers do not begin to reflect the performance difference in the real world. Go strap on a Stihl BR 600 (or a big Echo) right after working with any EGO blower, and then you will understand. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of a cordless blower, but one should not go into it imagining that it can perform like a serious gas blower. And I will point out too that one 5Ah battery is not enough to make it though one suburban lawn. I maintain (3) properties, so I would probably need (5) batteries to make it through all of them in succession. Keeping in mind that the fastest way to shorten the life of these very expensive batteries is to charge them while they are hot, and they stay above the recommended maximum charging temperature for over an hour on a mild day, and much longer on a hot day. Alternating batteries on a fast charger is a great boon to battery sales. I'd like to try the EGO backpack model, but it appears to use the same axial fan design, so I'm guessing that would be the limiting factor. It's just not possible to generate any serious pressure with an axial fan. Do any of you have experience with the EGO backpack blowers?
Thank you for showing the functionality, just bought mine tested it out
excellent video..specs are great..hope to get one for myself soon!!!
You should!
I got one 👍 it works very well 👌
Looks great, I need to upgrade.
I have the EGO 615 for what I need for leaves. I'm going to see how it cleans small gravel out of the grass.
i run mine wit the 7.5 amp and it’s perfect

The 7.5amp battery is heavier (and more juice) so maybe that will better balance (?)

Stick with greenworks if you're already invested in their battery platform.
Thanks for your review. I wanna buy this does it charge fast

Thanks for the detailed review..great job..
Glad it was helpful!

Did it come with the strap? Thank you.
Yes
Mine died in less then a year. Only used it around the house. 😢
Nice vid... remove that nozzle tip, as you're limiting the CFM output... unless you just wanted the max mph for this video
