Joe, I couldn’t help but think of the scene from Fletch… when he’s pretending to be an airplane mechanic and he tells the dude from Blazing Saddles,”ball bearings! It’s all about ball bearings nowadays!”
Joe, I've bought my fair share of used vehicles and the first thing I replace are the bearings. Why? Because no one looks after them properly. The bushings will wear in and last a long time with virtually no maintenance. If they develop slop, simply replace them for a fraction of the cost of bearings. And with the dirt and moisture a crawler is exposed to, bushings just might be a good option. I know a lot of people will disagree and I'm not saying to put bushings in everything but they just may be a viable option in some situations. As for the shiny spot on the parts, minor polishing from the bushing, certainly nothing to be concerned about.
I sent the bearings list to Jim, unfortunately I missed 1 10x5x4 for the Outdrive hub. So if you or anyone decides to upgrade the transmission to add under drive to the rear an extra bearing will need to be bought. Should be 6 10X5X4 with under drive.
Honestly this was the best installation video I’ve seen and was simple and loved your video and the way you explained everything and I’m new to hobby now and just first timer this year something new to put on the belt and I’m loving it so far the best journey that keeps company and actually a hobby. The Jim’s bearings was A-1 and I just received my bearings from Jim’s bearings as well to and installed it watching your video. Thanks bud and keep up the content work
Love the detailed mechanical side of the Hobby videos, and Awesome idea about flipping the Diff. also check out Reverse Rotation Sprint Car Engines. They spin backwards compared to normal so when sliding and turning left , well it being reversed helped plant the tires to get more Forward Bite off the corner. I don't know if they run them now but they were big back in the late 90's to early 2000's.
I would've don't the exact same mods. But would've also added the 14-15% overdrive while the tranny was apart. The torque-twist is most likely coming from the drag the bushing was causing. That was normal in the old day when kits came with plastic bushing.
Im new to this RC world and looking to buy this truck and do the mods you did! Can you make a step by step for us noobs just learning! Thank you! Watched your other video what a difference it made! This will be my first crawler.
What's up exo! Got a question. Do you know of an open diff avail for the element enduro crawlers? Or an open diff that will work in the element crawlers? Thanks
Lvc on med? On my hw 1080s and fusion pros I set to low and still cutting at 3.6+v On my hw axe it's at low and cuts at 3.2v. I'm thinking maybe it's backwards on my other systems? I want max runtime as I trail alot. Anyone else finding this??
Exocaged is the Best my senduro beyond the most frustrating nite mare ive bought new pinion an rings with shims done evey possible shim configuration possible ive taken the diff out now at least 20 times serious nite mare im gona end up destroying it just so i feel better. My hobby shop somehow convinced me of this truck over the vanqush i went there to get . 600 dollars after totally modded out this truck im just left with a nite mare that sqweeks alot total waste of my time only in exchange for the experience i now know lol
Tamiya owners KNOW the delimma of diffs, when In a hurry!🤪🤷♂️ IF u find a 'brushless motor bearing tool', they will replace stubborn bearings (bushings) in & out of anything metal. Gears, motor cans, yada yada yada.

The background music during the time lapse is the same as at the theater at a resort in Punta Cana. It reminds me of that. Can't wait to go back now😂
just picked up a fusion pro for my trx4, have read nothing but good reviews

Definitely like the wrenching videos, I love working on R/C's so always like watching the experts for some pointers!!!! Keep me coming!!

I like the deatil explainination of the installation of these parts. Thank you. We want more of these vids.

Nice that u are doing install videos. I’m newer to the hobby and I am so confused when it comes to brushless motors and the whole kv thing.
I’m planning to do more of these detailed videos of installs and then later in the same day do the drive of them.
@@ExocagedRC 👍👍👍😎Hey Joe! Good idea!!!
