Been there and lost friends. I’ve seen it destroy relationships, get people into debt and sent to prison.
I’ve seen homeless guys on the street, with huge abscesses, who won’t even go to hospital because they are not registered on a script and know they won’t be prescribed a substitute in hospital because of that.
I have seen people in 90 degree heat in summer, with the heating on, complaining that it’s too cold when rattling. I’ve seen people rob their own families to get money for it.
But I have seen people get clean as well and I know it can be beaten.
