Charice opened up the eyes of people looking for new talent, to turn their attention to the Philippines. The Philippines the land where Karaoke is the national sport and pastime.

Charice was invited by oprah to appear on her show and learned that she's a big fan of celine dion and made an arrangement to meet her idol.. Celine even invited charice to appear on her concert and sing alongside her.. Oprah also introduced her to david foster and was impressed by the sibging prowess of charice so he handled charice together with oprah her singing career in the U.S...she also have a single debuted in the US enritled PYRAMID.. She also appeared on fox channel GLEE.. and by the way she is no longer charice pempengco.. He is now JAKE ZYRUS

Oh man! I can’t believe you never heard of her before. She is a star from the Philippines. David Foster and Oprah are her American godparents. She was a teenager when Oprah discovered her in 2008, and Celine Dion, her favorite singer, gave her the opportunity to sing with her on a concert at the Madison Square Gardens in NY. She became one of the most talented girls in the world back then. David Foster was her music manager and producer until Charice decided to come out with her new identity as a boy. She said that she was not herself and that what she liked the most was dancing. Her voice has significantly changed since then due to hormonal therapy. ☹️😢😭😢☹️😭

She by far is one of the best voices of all time but on another level above Whitney, Celine, glennis grace and Mariah.
If you did not notice, that was a standard ovation. Charice is still the best. This was a show in Las Vegas and recorded for PBS. She had many videos but poor quality. She was on Oprah singing Note to God. My favorite performance of hers though was when she sang God Bless America during Obama’s inauguration.
