    Correction:
08:28 - I found out this Olathe is actually made in Mexico and it's been discontinued. Most Olathe boots are made in Texas and many can be found at Atomic 79

What a Great Review Video. So Much Great Helpful Information. I like Double H American made Boots. Thorogood Wedge boot has a plastic Welt.

I've owned leather lined and fabric lined boots and I HATE FABRIC LINED BOOTS. They have no redeeming value. They are hotter, swampier, smellier, and wear out faster.

Made in USA is great but I love Tecovas isn’t making there boots in China (like some brands) or somewhere that isn’t known for handmade boot making.

I am from Mexico and when I saw the great marketing that tecovas had I bought 2 pairs. And I was disappointed to see that they are the same as the ones you can buy in Leon Mexico stores for 50 or 60 dollars. It means that the factory price is 25 or 30 dollars.

Anything made of leather is cheaper in Guanajuato. Thats where it’s all made and if I’m being honest, the quality is much higher if you buy directly from someone who makes boots by hand than buying it from a U.S. company. Same with saddleback leather. I bought an identical one of their bags for maybe 100 American a couple years ago when their price is like 500+.

Another alternative I'd recommend is the Red Wing Pecos. The welt is often plastic (depending on the model you buy) but it can be replaced and lasts quite a long time on its own.
    Great stuff as always, Jeremiah!

Loving this series JC ! I don't know of anyone doing these comparisons like you.
Also gotta say, when conditions are too rough for my leather sole cowboy boots, I wear my Tecovas Banderas. I freakin' love em'. I know some guys have fit issues, but I wear 9D in all boots ( except Ariat Steel Toe Work Hogs, gotta go 9 1/2 D ) but I went 9D on my Banderas and they fit perfect. Who knows. You rock JC !

Mexico has some of the best leather workers in the world so getting boots made in Mexico should be a no issue thing, lots of stuff made in USA are junk and lots of stuff are great same thing can be said for China too.

Since tecovas are made in Mexico and they seem to be great quality have you taken a look at CUADRA boots? Both made in the same place and is a top dog in Mexico. Maybe worth a comparison?

The US made boots are great options and cheaper but a few bucks more for a better made boot is fine by me. I'll stick with my Tecovas even though it's a pain in the ass to get a good fit online. Order your size and ignore their fitting guidelines.

I have 3 pair of boots. (2) Tecovas and (1) Ariat. Now I know Ariat was not listed in this video. I can say my Tecovas are far more comfortable. I can wear them all day. The Ariat are a rubber sole, but after a day in them my dogs are barking and is just throw them in the back of the closet. With that being said. I don’t wear my Tecovas out in the field. It’s now my go to office boot. If I need to do work in the field I throw the Ariats back on. I might look at one of these alternatives for field work in the future and ditch the Ariats.
