Company 3 was dispatched for a report of a vehicle fire. Engine 3 responded (with six) to the incident. 753 (Botetourt Fire-EMS) arrived on-scene to find a vehicle fully involved in flames. Engine 3 went into attack mode. Units on-scene: Engine 3, Tanker 3 and 753. I have Turner's permission to upload his video onto my channel.
Engine 3 is a 2010 Pierce Velocity (Former Demo), with a 470hp Detroit Series 60 (1500/1000/25).
Captured with a GoPro Hero 4 Silver.
Federal Q2B Siren and Sho-Me Powercall Siren
Honestly...love the aftermath photos, nice touch. You guys be safe.
You guys have the biggest response area I've ever seen. Goodness
Yes. We have the interstate, two railroad companies passing by or in Buchanan, a river. The majority of our calls is on the interstate and EMS calls.
Yo reaper where does the captain sit?
The officer's seat.
Red Reaper was this in New York
Isaac Aubel Buena Vista, Va
Reminds me when my car caught on fire. It was not nearly engulfed and was easily put out with a fire extinguisher. But I had a code 3 police and firefighter response in the school parking lot lol.
How did it catch fire?
nicholas kleinschmidt n
Awesome job. What a good turnout for a vehicle fire. You also got water on the vehicle so quickly. Excellent!
Great Job Brothers
what a beautiful landscape.
Good response and very quick water. Good effort all round.
that v-tec kiked in so much the engine couldn't endle it loool
Great work with the videos.
THAT SECONDARY TONE. OH MY FUCKIN CHRIST YOU'VE JUST SOLVED MONTHS WORTH OF MYSTERY FOR ME AT WORK
GREAT JOB BVFD! You were only the scene less than 30 seconds and had water on the nozzle!!!! That's the way it's done!
Nice quick response - had water on that fast!
Have seen a few clips from these guys (BVFD) and they seem to know their stuff - keep up the good work!
quick response... the camera starts followed by 7:30 of response... ISO definitely doesn't think thats quick
Keith Miller for that far away it's extremely quick... when my garage caught fire it took 8 minutes, about the same amount of time here, and the dept is right down the road
@@ffemtkeith With it Being Volunteer and with the size of their coverage area that's pretty quick.
From arrival to water on fire = 1min. Now THAT'S a great response time.
Awesome:)
Sad for the family of the car. Nice ride along clip!
Fucking love America.
Impressive driving to say the least. More than a emergency response vehicle it is a response vehicle filled with tons of water sloshing around inside. That kind of load & stress dynamics has got to be a major factor that only this emergency vehicle has to work with. To control this vehicle would be akin to running through your house while holding a filled ice cube tray of water and not spilling any on the floor. Great job!
*sings to the tune of the old Power Wheels commercial* Pow-pow-powercall!
Dang, fast response!
I love it ! Pull up, rip off the hose, turn on the pump, charge it, done.
Love the flag lined streets and old homes.
Nice
Ngl this looks fun
Heroes, every one of them (firefighters).
In my departments SOGs we mostly run highway jobs but when we are driving on the shoulder we don’t use sirens because a car might pull over into shoulder we just use air horn
The sky is pretty nice looking ngl
such a nice city :)
So did insurance total it??
so basically the fire burned out or destroyed the car before you got there
why does the sound keep cutting out?
I also chuckled to myself when I heard the power call siren. Without even knowing where your department was, I wondered what part of VA you were in. #powercall
upstatefire their out of the southwestern part of Virginia in the mountains.
did you not post the live you said i was in man. hope your having a great night #dtmp
I deleted it abruptly because I had to in a another person's livestream.
nice
Why did you pull all that hose off?? You could have got alot closer???
Man this stuff is way better than all this johnny gobble bizness post more stuff like this reaper! R u still active duty
Yes I am.
@@RedReaper303 🫡 where'd u go for a year lol
Do they carry any type of GPS or navigation systems? I'd think with tech today they'd have some type of like system where dispatch could send all the info needed electronically to a display inside the cab. Like send exact location and other info.
Yes. We have a tablet that has an Active 911 app.
nice country btw, very green
Nice horn!
how many people could be gone by time they got there dam that is a long time to respond to an accident
whos that person in the middle of the road at 7:20?
I have no idea.
Looked like a cop or medic.
nop , not a cop , slow down video , itssome girl in shorts
She is blonde, that explain a bit why she stay there.
Why is she standing in the road way? wheres her ride at?
what is the name of this country?nice ride.be safe
Buchanan, VA, USA.
+Red Reaper the camera man in all of the videos taken on the trucks was you?
This video was recorded by someone else and I had that person's permission to upload his video. But most of my videos is recorded by me in the trucks.
+Red Reaper Ok and i haven't seen videos for this year get uploaded
why would anybody dislike a video like this thats sad god bless all firefighters stay safe out there
Ignorant people or firefighters who never seen fire.
@@RedReaper303 Or perhaps because the audio cuts out for 15 seconds at a time? Your videos are great but damn, get a better camera or something! (I still "liked" it though, the audio issue wasn't -that- big of a deal.)
@@KatTheFoxtaur Ok. If medical information is being said on the radio, some firefighters don't want their voices heard or they don't want to be seen, or anything else. I have to edited those parts out or trim the video. My fire department's rules. My cameras are working fine. I intentionally mute the audio.
@@KatTheFoxtaur But I do appreciate your support.
Hey I'm looking to be a firefighter when I grow up you inspire me. But who controls to sirens 🚨
Whoever sits in the officer seat, operates the sirens.
Which is usually an officer 😂
Or a senior firefighter.
How far is your response to the interstate? Looks like a good amount of driving till you get on it.
Eric S. Just depends where they are going, they have easier ways to the highway.
Oh ok. We only have highways and no interstates, but our stations are only a couple miles from exits on major highways.
Yeah it depends on the area too, from experience I know that in small towns in NC and VA you can have multiple highway exits per town so it kinda helps. When I was in middle school I had an hour and a half bus ride because everything was so spread out and that was a more populated town than this, this is a much less dense area. Seems very rural.
Is that a taser at the start of the video on the right
Ash Arthur thats a thermal imaging camera
You hit 3k cuz of me !!!
action @ around 8:00
beeping means light are on
Heard the air packs turning on. With the bell and then the chirp
That was me. I rather be ready.
The Camera have a sound problem, sometimes stops the sound. I likes the driver on your motorway, many free space between the vehicles, near the accident no one on the right lane. Wonderful! This really do not works here in Europa or Asia.
not a camera problem--they deliberately removed part of the audio
Surprised No PD or Safety Patrol doing traffic halt.
It seems this station suffered some casualties as if you noticed as this truck pulls out their flags are at half mast, so some brave firefighter died I guess to bad really these guys are awesome in my opinion. Also what's that woman doing near the end of the video, she almost got hit by the fire truck, does she have a death wish or something?
You can see the hose fill with water at 8:31
I don't think these men were using only water, the hose was orange which usually means a solvent was used, Water+Car+Oil+Gas= Spreading of fire. Oil and water don't mix it would spread fire
Averagestoner could just be the color of the attack line....my department utilizes color coded attack lines doesn't have to mean anything for what they are using
Just because an attack line is orange doesn't mean we were using foam.
Averagestoner it would be foam
Not all departments use the same color hose. Don’t forget it’s a volunteer department which means they have whatever resources are available to them. And notice the white smoke after some time? That generally means water was put on the fire rapidly cooling it turning into white smoke and steam.
3:45, cop failed to yield, does not matter if the fire truck is on the other side of the road, on a two lane road like that all traffic is supposed to pull to the right. That cop did not have his/her lights and siren on, so he/she should have pulled over.
This must not be in America because a fire like that normally stops the whole other side of the road for no reason whatsoever
this car is on Fire!
Siren sounds kinda like my washing machine :D
damn, y'all were moving.
9:21 holy that Is ruined
I bet vehicle fires are comfy to respond to when no lives are in danger.
Wow!! That is a heck of a lot of chemtrails!!!!
Avner I know. I assume because they were close to airports like PHL, PIT, ORD, JFK, etc.
One day buddy I hope I get the subs same as you guys but I as well will never give up. It’s just hard sometimes to record when we are working.
Where are you located
Chris sefchick Buchanan Virginia I believe. Saw a sign for Roanoke in another video.
Buchanan, VA is correct.
Been through there a few times it's nice country for sure
Anyone else notice the taser?
No but I noticed your avatar and it freaked the shit out of me.
Nolan Beets That's not a Taser, it's a Thermal Imaging Camera.
Who knows how some people are going to react
why does the audio keep cutting out?
Probably censoring sensitive information out over radio/truck talk.
Kevill Oh. Censoring in a free western country? I have think first that the camera broken.
OldLordSpeedy there is information they can't talk about. I have seen it in some cop ride alongs to the audio is cut.
Warren Moses Yeah in Germany it is forbidden to make radio traffic public but this is the U.S.A. where you can hear radio traffic world-wide over relay into internet too! Suddenly it is forbidden?
OldLordSpeedy maybe they said something in the cab that no one else needed to hear.
seatbelt alarm is annoying buckle up
i dont hear it
Jamie Morrison i think youre talking about the siren
That's the Powercall siren
Xavier Aldrin yeah i didnt know the word for that siren beacuse we dont have that siren on our engines in denmark
beeping means the warning lights are on
At the speed there going they should really buckle up, besides that seatbelt alarm is damn annoying
They passed a cop at 3:50 and he didn't move over
You know what of been cool driving a Oshkosh attacker to the vehicle fire!
jus hurry an go by now the car is fully in flames
Why do they have 2 sirens I'm English and we only have 1 siren
Joe Mcmurray one is a seatbelt warning
Joe Mcmurray Unfortunately the US has major issues with distracted driving (texting, blasting music, playing with GPS units, etc.) and the solution has been to take a proactive approach and get drivers' attention better.2 sirens = different loud tones that the driver recognises quicker.
Joe Mcmurray one is your regular emergency vehicle siren and one is the Federal Q, all us firefighters love it. It’s a classic! Soon as you hear that pullin outta the station that screams move lol....a Q siren with stutter tones air horns and that’s a perfect setup....one thing that’s great with the Q siren is it’s controlled by a pedal, so you can be doing it while you’re getting turned out, strapping up an air pack, etc...
so?
That car can be refurbished...
They need to step back any second that car could explode, there’s fire but that gas tank ain’t been hit yet, they got lucky
If this happend in China, you will never get there so smoothly, may be when you get there, the fire have gone by itself(burn out anything that can be burned). Because when you drive on the street or ordinary road, you will meet cars don't give way, and drive slowly in front of you, some time they even drive S patch to prevent you to overtake. When you enter highway or interstate, you will find the emergency line you are dirving on in the video are full of cars. Besides, the EMS vehicles will meet same situation, and maybe you will be blocked at the same place. May be the only thing you can do is call dispatcher for helicopter. However that's in China, usually no helicopter for highway rescue.
Tom Smith no
wow these guys are qick , by me it takes them 20min to take hose out then 8 mins before they put water to it ,
beda banget, klo di indonesia, perhatiin deh, semua tempat pemadam kebakaran pagernya ketutup semua, dah gitu tinggi-tinggi banget, pantesan responnya jelek disini klo ada api / kebakaran, buka pager dulu, ini dulu, itu dulu, sok eklusif, wooi lo tuh pelayan masyarakat bukan gawe di keraton, dah gitu klo laporan ada kebakaran satpamnya tanya-tanya dulu "bisa minta nomor teleponnya pak / bu? bisa minta ktpnya bu? oiya kebakarannya disebelah mana? ya udah nanti ada petugas kami yang kesana sebentar lagi"
anjrit responnya nyaris diatas 10 menit
not a fan of the show me powercalls
boi
Lol it’s on 911
yo
wth why did he park the engine so far back, get up on that thing
Safety regulations perhaps?
They have to stretch out the hose anyway and safety
if the car explodes it usually a good idea not to have more possibly flammable material and more fuel right nearby
because you do not want your fire truck to actually be on fire. when fuel leaks out and catches fire, or the brakes burn out, etc.
Would you rather have a fire truck parked away from a fire just enough to lay attack line and have a fully functional fire truck back in service for the next call? Or would you rather be like Kentland and burn one of your trucks? Common sense tells me I rather have a fine piece of a fire truck that will be fully functional and back in service for the next call.
A minute and a half to get out of the station - pathetic.
Yet you bring down a couple of firefighters for doing the best they can. Talk about pathetic. Your armchair quarterback attitude is pathetic.
@@RedReaper303 People honestly don't get what it takes to be a Volunteer, or a Volunteer Department. Just sad.
