- Siblings Caoimhe and Séamus Ó Flatharta hail from the Gaeltacht region of Conamara in County Galway. Born into a musical family in the village of An Áird Mhóir, they were exposed to traditional Irish Music at a very young age and later developed into accomplished multi instrumentalists, singers and dancers.
The Ó Flatharta siblings are noted for their unique arrangements of well-known sean-nós songs, taking a particular interest in vocal arrangement and harmonisation.
Both Caoimhe and Séamus are multi All Ireland-winning performers who keep their language and heritage at the heart of all their musical endeavours.
Proudly supported by Donegal County Council & Arts Council Ireland
These two are national treasures.
True.
You know they are actually a trio of three siblings, but the 2nd brother is seldom in their videos.
Yes they are. Holy moly.
Yeah they rarely let the third one out of his cage.
I'm a big fan in Chicago.
I can’t say enough about how impressive these two young people are. IMMENSELY talented. Their Sean-nos version of Elenore di run (sp?) is like a balm to the soul. WHY hasn’t somebody signed them to make an album? Jeezuzz…they have more talent in their earlobes than most people could wish for in a lifetime. We are ALL out here, waiting for their Album…get these kids into a Studio. Sheesh ! Slainte from Canada 🇨🇦❤️🇮🇪
My goodness….just pure traditional Irish music…and in our native language….makes me proud to be Irish….🇮🇪👌👍❤️
Watch out Helen Mc will have you locked up for telling this truth
Jesus! This starts off great...and then gets better, and better, and better then even better. Greetings from Newfoundland.
Hear..Hear ! For the love of God…SOMEBODY get these two into a Studio and make an Album. Cheers from rural, Eastern Ontario. 👍🇨🇦🇮🇪
An-mhaith! Is breá liom an ceol seo. Greetings from Germany.
'S é'n trua nach mise, nach mise
'S é'n trua nach mise bean Pháidín
'S é'n trua nach mise, nach mise
'S an bhean atá aige bheith caillte
Rachainn go Gallaí go Gallaí
Is rachainn go Gallaí le Pháidín
Rachainn go Gallaí go Gallaí
Is thiocfainn abhaile sa mbád leis
(Curfá)
Rachainn go haonach an Chlocháin
Is siar go Béal Á' na Báighe
Bhreathnóinn isteach tríd an bhfuinneog
A' súil is go bhfeicfinn bean Pháidín
(Curfá)
Go mbristear do chosa, do chosa
Go mbristear do chosa 'bean Pháidín
Go mbristear do chosa, do chosa
Go mbristear do chosa 's do chnámha
Vive la jeunesse ✌️
What a couple of rogues
Lovely. My dad was Michael Sheain Steaife from Ardmore. I'm very familiar with all the songs in Irish I've heard you do, but your interpretation is entirely new to my ears.
Que majos que son estos chavales.
Fab that you're both taking traditional music forward into the future
Beautiful. Your music is making its way around the States. Thank you for keeping the Irish, the tradition and the SOUL alive.
that was truly amazing! i felt all my Irish ancestors gathering 'round and enjoying thoroughly your soulful song!!!! thank you so very much beautiful ones!!!!
Lovely - brilliant multitasking!
Bhain mé an-taitneamh as. Tá tú ar cheann nuair a imríonn tú beirt le chéile. Buaileann Caoimhe na shrills ard sin. Agus Séamas tá a fhios agat conas damhsa leis an mBodhran.
Simply stunning!!!!
My family had lost so much in all the immigration. No traditions came down. Beauitful music

Co. Galway - Co. na Gaillimhe
Ní raibh aon eolas agam faoin bheirt seo go dtí le gairid. Íontach ar fad. Ní baol don cheol nó don teanga agus daoine óga mar seo ag teacht chun tosaigh.
The Aran Islands and Atlantic Ocean - An tOileáin Árann agus Mhuir an Atlantaigh

Iontach ar fad!
Is no one gonna talk about the full set of new world encyclopedias circa 1959 in the bookcase?
can anyone tell me what this song is called?
Tá sé an t-amhrán public domain?
This is what happens when you keep your culture.
what is the name of this song ?
Guess !
I believe it is Bean Phaidin....
thank you, Canadian (English speaking) son of a Irishman, I can search for lyrics of the song with the typed name of the song, love these two siblings, saw these two the late late show with tribute for Ashling, still moving over a year later
@@dave1753 I am from Hawai'i in the USA! I listened to "Celtic" music for a decade. Most of it Sean nos or the more contemporary versions! I just learned that term! I recognized this song and had to look it up! I don't know the names of many of the songs I've listened to and no way would I have been able to spell it from how it sounds! Gaeilge is so unique!
