What's the discussion?!? For the "outsider" looking to enjoy a good battle, that's what it was. But to a percussionist, there's NO QUESTION! WAR & THUNDER for the win! No discussion, no debate! When you got snares "skatin"⛸️ through cadences, quints playing all over the rim with no control, and a tenor section MASSIVELY outmatched note for note, and that's not to mention the level of hybrids & combinations Da Funk displayed throughout..this has finally been put to bed! On to the SCG!
@tydagreat937 from the most recent chatter, everybody loving the 3rd cadence from WT but that 1st one was 🔥 too! True, TOP did good but just not on WT's level of difficulty. TOP has a lot to clean up and also consider how they tune as well.
Man I thought I was the only one witnessing the skating on them Alcorn snares. But after looking in the comments, it's clear!! When that pressure hits, you're either gonna fold or hit back.
@@ptballa23 They were cheating in certain parts of the cadences. They were not playing the same thing that the others were playing. It might have sorta sounded the same but you can tell they either didn't know those particular parts and was trying to hide it or they were struggling to keep up.
@ptballa23 not knowing parts, faking by moving your sticks to make it look like you're playing or you know your parts. WT will NEVER allow a player to even march if he don't know his music by game day.
This is my first time watching the drum lines and their styles are very similar. You can close your eyes and couldn’t tell where one starts and one stops. I like alcorn stick movement. Jackson State too.
Just for informational purposes, prior to 2012, TOP's style was much different...they actually had tonal bass drums until then. Tbh, the only line that can come close to matching WT's style and intricate cadences is Lane
@@kadrainrobinson2365👏🏽👏🏽 thanks for being the ass of the day for not knowing the difference between a tonal bass drum and quads/quints/sextuplets. They run all drops they haven’t ran tonals for some years now… you’re welcome 👌🏽
The JSU sound a little better than them new one Alcorn has. I got a premier hts I got I got tune , 4 in all but I like the pipe drum the one got a bottom snare and snare inside the drum .
Damn dude you took the words out of mind , but look here South Carolina got one of the cadence we played at Alcorn that they plays now Alcorn don't play but this was in the late 70 , and that cadence Alcorn play the ole school got from Morris brown , thing Alcorn called ole school .

I love how JSU’s tenors sound.
