Edward also uses two swords instead of one, whereas Ezio always uses one, or a two-handed weapon. Edward's more ruthless, but he also has excellent defenses while Ezio is cold and calculated. The only time Edward was really surprised was when he was distracted at Teach's decapitation. He was described as an extremely skilled fighter and a very charismatic man. He was also described as a new breed of Assassin, deadlier than any before him. And since his story plays after Connor's, that means he's deadlier than literally any assassin before.
