I had the GCN version, but I don't remember: did they actually translate Link's battle cries in the subtitles, or did you come up with them yourself? They're pretty good.

I always thought the map for inferno was kinda creepy in a way when I was a kid. The desolate, unending landscape you'd fight on, the towering silhouettes of pillars on the horizon, matched with the orange sky in the background. It was just pure malice. And it enhanced the "final boss" experience for the entire battle. It really did keep me on my feet.
That desolate hellscape raised the stakes. Child me knew that if I failed, the rest of the world would soon become like this place. And somehow, I always performed a little better against Inferno than I would a normal opponent.
Doesn't matter, Nightmare in II is so overpowered and fast that any player remotely decent playing as him can defeat Inferno's AI as fast as any other computer combatant due to how many of his moves move him out of the way of attacks and change high/low in the middle of a combo, and hit the ground
I love how normally your character says something before the fight: not here. They ready their fighting stance without a word, then there's Taki who has a new epic one.

This fight is MUCH cooler when you play as Heihachi. Everyone (minus the villains) views inferno as a threat that must be stopped at all costs. Heihachi though? He just views inferno as another challenger, like everyone else. He's already defeated every one that used weapons, so why should Heihachi be afraid of another sword user? The king of Iron Fist shows that no weapon is needed to be a strong warrior. A True warrior uses his fists! Personal headcanon I have is that Heihachi destroyed everyone, made it to inferno and won. And left back to his time without a trace, and everyone questions what just happened.

Thanks Namco, lol. I know I could just get the Season Pass for a fraction of the price but I want to be sure that I'm actually getting everything. There may be a chance that I calculated that wrong but I'm pretty sure I didn't, there's like 7 DLCs costing almost $10 if I recall correctly
The true canon final battle is that Raphael was facing Seigfried Nightmare again while Siegfried was battling Inferno aka Soul Edge in his mind for the right for control again. Soul Calibur 7 maybe a little different and explain Siegfried's connection and his secret power to Inferno. He will eventually get Soul Calibur and have Soul Calibur shards stuck inside of him while keeping that dark secret power that dwells in his arm transforming not just Ice Soul Calibur knight, but also a demonic being aswell this time.

Once you figure out his pattern he is easy...it's hard to get it down but once you realize he uses quick attacks he leave himself open.
