This is pretty cool, but for the money it should have an OLED screen and a game component I never had a digivice but I don't know why they never did one of those with slash card and a multiplayer element, just like in the show
Haha, I find it really strange how so many fans from Digimon are so attached to the V-Pet/Adventure Mode concept. Honestly, roleplay toys like these are pretty much par for the course for almost every other franchise out there, like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Sailor Moon, PreCure, etc... The reason why there's no gameplay mode or adventure mode is simple, the characters in the show don't actually use their Digivices to play games on it. This is pretty much what a Digivice would be if you were a Tamer in the show, and it's phenomenal.
First of all, well aware of everything you said. Second of all because it's historically been the case for Digimon toys to have an element of vpet to it. While of course CSA is supposed to be show accurate there would be ZERO harm in it also including an adventure mode in the menus. Changers, Rider Belts etc have never had gameplay so their P-Bandai equivalents wouldn't be expected to. Digivices historically have so it's understandable why a luxury product version NOT including it would be a shame, even if adventure mode or vpet elements isn't show-accurate (there are also things we've already seen that are not show-accurate/how it would be to be a "real Digimon Tamer" anyway lol)

The P-Bandai 15th Anniversary Cure Commune was also a full-on prop version of the original Cure Commune that removed the V-Pet function completely as well. Regardless, expectations based on past toys and an appeal to tradition are kinda fallacious in this case. CSA is a prop/replica line, so their mission statement would be to be as accurate to the show prop as possible. Could they have included an Adventure Mode? Sure. But there shouldn't be an expectation for them to. Not to mention, we've already had the 15th Anniversary D-Arks that were exactly what many fans wanted.

D-2,D-3, D-Ark, basically every version of digivice that appears in the anime shouldn’t have been a gameplay toy in the first place. Now they just want to make things right. The actual Vpet design is another thing. Bandai should have 2 lines. One is the actual Vpet line, with the actual Vpet design. And another would be the anime line, meant to be props. There are thousands of fans out there who would love to get a device to look exactly like the anime. Honestly, they can easily add the vpet function to it too, but for me it’s a downgrade and I wouldn’t love it as much as I do now. Adding random features to the digivice, making it way less accurate, is not a fan who loves Digimon and wants to be a tamer himself.
Love the video man, I have been collecting the digivices since the first ones. I love them. I am super excited for this one, it may not have the game modes but I am totally fine with one being a prop only Digivice with colour. Its awesome.
Paying more for something that has less features makes no sense to me. I mean the original version was already pretty screen accurate. The full color display probably upped the price cause that screen looks amazing but in my opinion, there's no reason not to have all the features the original version had to really make the jacked up price worth it and even then that's still a lot for what is essentially a toy. A Game Boy cost less money and you get more than one game.
I was intending to make my own prop with 3d printer and micro lcd screen and maybe a razzberry pi but then I saw this could actually scan, but if it's not a v pet or doesn't have any connectivity I might proceed with my other plans
This announcement makes me so excited. Well, if only i have enough money to buy it. Anyway, the D-Ark digivice is my first ever digivice when i'm in primary school. The funny thing is, i got it from my friend for free because he thinks his digivice is broken and he buy a new one. Out of curiosity, i throw the thing into the ground and it magically back to normal. Maybe it's the battery but who knows. Too bad that i don't have it anymore coz my dad always giving or throwing away my old childhopd toy
honestly, this would have been better if it were an actual V-pet. after finding out it was a high-tech cosplay D-ark, I was greatly disappointed. I am impressed with the lightscreen and everything. but the fact that I'm paying over a hundred for a cosplay toy.... I'd rather just have the V-pet version (which I did buy for a reasonable 87 dollars)

It did! Recently Japan Digifest 2022 shown to have SCSA D-Scanner on display but haven’t give a properly announcement yet. But i am sure it’s gonna be another masterpiece
I JUST got my SCSA D-Ark today and oh my god, it's even better in person. The quality is amazing. If you guys have enough money for one and are a super Digimon fan like me, especially if you are a huge fan of Tamers, you have GOT to get your hands on one of these D-Arks! These are completely show accurate and it's well made. It only needs two AAA batteries to work. There's also a new SCSA D-Scanner coming out that looks to be the same quality as these D-Arks. Seriously, get one of these Digivices!

I'm also curious if the cards only work with the Digivice they ship with. Not that I was considering buying all three, of course. That would be ridiculous, right, brain? I said, right, brain?!
All the cards that come with these 3 d-arks will work on all 3 devices. But I think you need to buy each d-ark to obtain each card and that’s a nope! Just bought one for $250 soooooooooooo I’m good. Lol

But it’s so cool man! I thought the CSA Adventure Digivice was impressive, but this is another level!! Though…I have never heard of Super CSA before. Is that new thing? Or have I just missed it? I dont see anything wrong with $140. My comparisons are the sailor moon propelicas, which are $80-$120ish base price. They dont do anything extraordinary either except for music and select flashing. They're all beautiful tho and worth it, so i have no doubt this will be a great piece to any digi collection. My problem is definitely resellers 6 months from now doing $300 🙄
Well, in my case that just shows that the Sailor Moon ones are expensive too. Of course if you have the money and interest in them there's nothing wrong with that, but yeah, I do consider them on the expensive side based on what they do.
I expected a V Pet so this is an easy pass for me. I'm ready to drop $200 if necessary for a color v pet someday. The vital bracelet is great and will help me wait until it arrives.
I own takatos Digivice from 2001, but I always wanted Rika's. I wanted the 15th anniversary one but now they are super expensive. But this im getting for sure! In blue, it will be perfect for cosplay too!

Oh my gosh that's insanely cool. 140$ seems a little high imo even with everything included, maybe if there was a game it'd make more sense. For the screen effects alone It is so damn cool, hopefully we'll get more like it in the future.

Im kinda bummed that it doesnt have gameplay. Out of all the old toys, my favorite was the original Arc that came out in the states. My dumb ass kid self ruined so many cards thinking it actually effected gameplay lol. Still pretty cool, and since Tamers is my all time favorite season, ill probably still grab this one
Gosh I would love this but out of all the digivices the D-Ark was the one that I really hoped would have a game feature, because the card slash component is so cool. I really want a 15th anniversary one but those are super expensive nowadays and usually second-hand/not in great condition. So I might end up buying this one if I can find a good proxy service…how did you get it?
Damn, no gameplay is really a buzzkill and kinda deal breaker. I really want to get one since Tamers is my favorite Digimon, but if it's only premium props, I don't think it's worth 14k yen.
Hmmmmm, If they implemented the scan/search system that can like give info of all Digimon that appears in Tamers I think it's an instant buy for me. But the fact that it doesn't have that feature kinda makes me think twice to Pre Order it.

The secondhand V pet versions are being sold by scalpers for the same price and there's the chance they don't even work and are defective; definitely copping a preorder of this before it becomes sold out and then sold for an even more ridiculous price
The Complete Selection Modification line is meant to be screen-accurate replicas. Pretty sure the line started off as, and continues to be, a line of Kamen rider belts.
I am aware. Complete Selection Modification and Complete Selection Animation are two related but seperate toy lines. The new D-Ark's screen accuracy is phenomenal but given parts of it are already not screen accurate (showing a picture of Growlmon during the Digivolution sequence etc) it wouldn't have hurt to have a small Adventure Mode in one of the menus.

I was so excited after seeing the teaser, but $140 + having to pay to import to the US is a bit much for me. As much as my inner child who only ever had a knockoff D-ark is begging for this, i can't justify it at the moment sadly. I'll continue to scour the internet for an original d-ark for hopefully a better price. :/
Tamers is one of my fave seasons, soooo I definitely want this! Buttt, since there is no gameplay and/or v-pet component, I cannot justify spending that much $$$. :( Come on Bandai- you can do better!!!
A tad disappointing,in my view. The price isnt much of an obstacle for me personally, but there are just 2 things that give me slight pause about wanting one: 1. The slightly larger size compared to previous iterations. 2. No adventure mode or battle mode. This digivice, with its new full color screen feature, would be a SLAM DUNK, day one buy, and hot ticket item if it could just address those two issues; Make it smaller and more compact AND give it some more depth as an ACTUAL, FULLY FUNCTIONING DIGIVICE.

I believe Super CSA Is a new qualifier to make it apparent it's better than the previous CSA mirror LED D-3, Digivice etc

Favorite digivice will always be the Digivice IC, second is D3, then OG, then D-Ark

Oh my gosh that's insanely cool. 140$ seems a little high imo even with everything included, maybe if there was a game it'd make more sense. For the screen effects alone It is so damn cool, hopefully we'll get more like it in the future.

I really want a digivice badly. I don't have one and I'm not worried about the premium price. Would it be best to get an older device or is the latest Digivice X good? I want it to be stand alone with little pet and game. Also I really love Digimon Survive. Thank you for the videos.

Im kinda bummed that it doesnt have gameplay. Out of all the old toys, my favorite was the original Arc that came out in the states. My dumb ass kid self ruined so many cards thinking it actually effected gameplay lol. Still pretty cool, and since Tamers is my all time favorite season, ill probably still grab this one

Gosh I would love this but out of all the digivices the D-Ark was the one that I really hoped would have a game feature, because the card slash component is so cool. I really want a 15th anniversary one but those are super expensive nowadays and usually second-hand/not in great condition. So I might end up buying this one if I can find a good proxy service…how did you get it?

Hmmmmm, If they implemented the scan/search system that can like give info of all Digimon that appears in Tamers I think it's an instant buy for me. But the fact that it doesn't have that feature kinda makes me think twice to Pre Order it.

The Complete Selection Modification line is meant to be screen-accurate replicas.
Pretty sure the line started off as, and continues to be, a line of Kamen rider belts.
I am aware. Complete Selection Modification and Complete Selection Animation are two related but seperate toy lines.
The new D-Ark's screen accuracy is phenomenal but given parts of it are already not screen accurate (showing a picture of Growlmon during the Digivolution sequence etc) it wouldn't have hurt to have a small Adventure Mode in one of the menus.

I was so excited after seeing the teaser, but $140 + having to pay to import to the US is a bit much for me. As much as my inner child who only ever had a knockoff D-ark is begging for this, i can't justify it at the moment sadly. I'll continue to scour the internet for an original d-ark for hopefully a better price. :/

Tamers is one of my fave seasons, soooo I definitely want this! Buttt, since there is no gameplay and/or v-pet component, I cannot justify spending that much $$$. :( Come on Bandai- you can do better!!!
A tad disappointing,in my view.
The price isnt much of an obstacle for me personally, but there are just 2 things that give me slight pause about wanting one:
1. The slightly larger size compared to previous iterations.
2. No adventure mode or battle mode.
This digivice, with its new full color screen feature, would be a SLAM DUNK, day one buy, and hot ticket item if it could just address those two issues; Make it smaller and more compact AND give it some more depth as an ACTUAL, FULLY FUNCTIONING DIGIVICE.
