    I prefer the east side but a con would be the dog food factory.

      I grew up on the Eastside. It's great for sure. Purina has done an excellent job over the years reducing the smell. I can remember being a kid at the ball park and the smell was over powering.

      No doubt Flagstaff is becoming a super expensive place to live. Affordable housing has been an issue for many years. It is definitely a wonderful place to live. We feel blessed to live here.

    WRONG! It's in four parts. North, South, East and West and I've lived in them all. Having said that, Flagstaff has two different climates, West and East. The oldest homes are on the West side, as in Old Town. The lack of pine trees on the East side is because a lot of it was clear cut for development in the late '50s and early '60's and Sunnyside was farm fields. I was a kid out there then and saw it. Coconino Estates on the north side was clear cut. There are no mature ponderosas there. You're too young to remember.
