Super impressive for a novice like myself to watch. I have been smoking and grilling at least 3 times a week for years now for family and friends and still love learning new techniques so thanks for sharing bro. Congrats and keep up the great work and content! Team GCS
Someday l wish that l could cook like you. Everything looks so delicious and tasty. Really liked your orange and blue drum cooker. Did you order your BBQ Drum? Have a awesome day.
1st time watching you & your family in a competition cook off.... I was amazed on the teamwork you & your wife put in to make the best possible box to turn in to the judges... I myself is just a backyard cooker... If I was to really get into competition cooking ; then I would definitely need to do alot of practicing & definitely step up my game & get more smokers...What kind of drum smokers were y'all using?? There's so much to learn when being involved in a competition... Good to see that the kids were enjoying thereselves & that they were motivating you both on having the best brisket & ribs.. As far as separating the money muscle from the pork butt ; I wldnt know what to look for...Where did you get those disposable mats from that u was using underneath your racks whenever u was prepping ur after they have cooked & whenever u was seasoning them?? Clever idea 👍& to keep area clean...Keep up the good work & looking forward to seeing u both in your next cook-off....
Nice work! Can you provide me a link to the “card holders”? Thanks! I’ve been outdoor cooking for many years and just started my channel this past Thanksgiving. I’m doing my first comp this Oct, just a local fire dept kinda thing. But I’m enjoying watching your vids…very helpful. You’ve done well obviously! Kudos!
If my son was a judge we would GC every single time!!

do you have a link for the pins in the chicken?
Are you putting pork marinade in the rib wrap?
In IBCA comps. are you allowed to have those grill marks on your chicken? They don’t consider that a marked tray.
Where do you get those adjustable wire racks you use for your brisket and chicken?
I get them at a local store in TX called H‑E‑B!
Our son is the best hype man 😆
Ever!!
Do you inject your ribs? If so what products do you recommend for competitions?
What charcoal did you use in the drums?
Lump charcoal! B&B only!
What size Weber grill do you use?
22”!!
@@GulfCoastSmoke you also had a video sometime back that you use these little pins to keep the chicken skins down. What were they called?
Do you trim your own pork collars for a bigger MM or do you buy those already done? Those are some nice sized ones!
I trim my own!
what drums are those?
Those are Race Crew Drum Smokers!
