My husband and I bred Paint Horses, we owned 2 stallions at different times and a few mares, but the mares always carried their own foals, I'd never seen an embryo flushed. Very interesting. I guess they have a bunch of recipient mares in Weatherford? We used to live in Cleburne but moved 100 miles west of there in 2014.

Fallon I understand that you are a responsible breeder, but you have to understand that every breeder believes their horses won’t end up in slaughterhouses. The racing industry sells horses for hundreds of thousands of dollars and they end up at slaughter houses all the time. They constantly say these horses never end up at slaughter, but they do. Just saying that is why people are on the “adopt don’t shop” bandwagon right now. There are a lot of amazing horses out there with great pedigree that are being slaughtered, and it has been proven by their brands and tattoos. There is a slaughter video out there that flashes the tattoos and names of the race horses as they are being killed. Slaughter is a hot topic right now because there is a lot of “waste” in the equine industry, simply because not every horse can be a champion.
I'm not trying to be a negative Nancy, I respect you 💯 but there are horses purchased for 1.5 million as yearlings that end up in the slaughter pipeline. Unfortunately there are shitty people who don't love and respect the an animal.
