That feels like the real life phenomenon that we are used to but we can't explain exactly how it works. It makes me think that Hoyoverse created a whole new set of natural rules and inserted them in Genshin Impact, and for some reason it feels right. And this guy right here is explaining us how this nature works. Amazing!
One trick I found useful with Frozen + Hydro is that you can do Cyro swirl + Hydro infused (Hydro has higher infuse priority) with Kazuha's burst in Ayaka team, making his burst a reliable source of AoE Hydro if you dont have Kokomi. Though you can achieve the same thing by applying hydro on 1 enemy and cyro on another then use Kazuha's burst.
Indeed, my Ayaka rotation in abyss is applying Cryo with Diona's skill, then placing Mona's skill, and proceed with Kazuha's E, that spreads the cryo Aura when going up, but applying hydro when plunging, and then his burst gets infused with Hydro, so when Ayaka takes the field everyone is frozen. 👍
@@JM_Tushe I'm pretty sure this doesn't work how you describe it. If you're only against a single target, they won't have a hydro aura to infuse Kazuha's plunge unless you do the rotation with 2U hydro shown in the video. If you use something that's 1U like Mona skill and you freeze a unit off of that, it consumes all the hydro, so you need another enemy with hydro on it to infuse Kazuha
@@DoctorQcumber You can also have Frozen + Hydro by applying Hydro on already Frozen enemy. Ex: Diona E -> Mona dash, E -> Kazuga Q. Or Diona E -> Barbara N1 E -> Kazuha E. Or if you want to buff Ayaka with ttds, Barbara/Mona E -> (wait 1s for icd) Ayaka dash -> Kazuha Q (Barbara/Mona E should apply hydro again during Kazuha's burst animation)

I've been wondering about hydro/cryo double swirl for years. Thanks so much for posting this. I think I'm going to start running Diona over Shenhe so I can replace Xingqiu with Yelan and make the team you showed. I'm guessing it's probably worse damage overall, but it's more skill expression to get the double swirl, so that's fun. Although it's also possible I run Shenhe with Yelan and go for the no heals gigachad team
I just wanted to share some Genshin x League facts for u crackheads out there The name Morgana in Ganyu’s freeze team is named after a champion that locks/binds people in place for so long that you end up being frozen in place and die. You will live through your whole life not ending up moving. Sunfire cape is after an item that burns nearby surrounding enemies I dont know any other facts, so if you have something SHARE IT 👽🫳
Good luck! Make sure to give a lot of EM to your Hydro character because they will be the one that triggers most or all of your Blooms, so the Dendro Core explosion damage will be based on their Level and EM.
@Jyo's Spiral Abyss Guides I always thought that it is the dendro unit that is supposed to create dendro cores like how nilou works. They say to build em on the dendro unit for nilou bloom.
@@SunbladeNL Hold on a minute. Most off field hydro units (Xinqu, Yelan and Nilou) apply tons of hydro really quickly as a result they should end up being the aura not the trigger even if they are alone with only the first attack having them as the trigger and all subsequent attacks having them as the aura. If I'm missing something please explain.
@@GhostEmblem In a regular Bloom team (such as Nilou teams) thats the case. But with Fridge teams, you have that extra Cryo aura to burn through which “protects” the Dendro aura. When you combine this with the fact that Hydro Bloom is a low-cost “reverse” Bloom, Dendro is usually the one that survives as the aura, even if you have a lot of Hydro application. As a result, Hydro will usually be the triggering Element which generates the Dendro Cores.
The fact that they updated the Pyro decay rate as of 3.0 means that they're aware of decay rate inheritance. But then, why only patch it for Pyro? Is it to fine-tune Burning?
That was my thought as well. Burning reactions apply a 2U Burning aura, so maybe there was some edge case where Burning could last longer than expected if applied on top of a 1U Pyro aura. The Burning aura is distinct from a Pyro aura, so this may not be the exact reason, but maybe something related.
question. if you self-swirl with jean, do you debuff your resistance with vv ??. let say you got affected with cryo againts the cryo kenki and you cleansed it with jean, does the next of the kenki attack do more dmg?
These videos made me appreciate electro-charged a lot more. But I am still missing some information for tazer teams. How many units does the aoe of swirl reactions apply? Does the anemo characters EM determine the damage for the subsequent electro-charge reaction?
Great question! The GU applied by the Elemental damage from a Swirl reaction is actually somewhat complicated and determined by this formula: genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Elemental_Gauge_Theory/Advanced_Aura_Mechanics#Swirl_Application_Gauges In MOST cases, this comes out to about 2 GU (actually 2.2 GU), but in some rare cases it can apply even up to 3.5 GU (if you apply a 2U Anemo attack to a 1.6U aura). This is why, in general, Swirls deal so much damage to shields, since most of these Swirls-induced hits are applying 2+ GU.
I didn't know about the reaction priority of Dendro+Cryo until now. If Superconduct takes priority over Quicken, then as long as the Cryo aura on enemy is lower than 1U, any 1U electro application (esp slow ones like Kuki/Raiden's E) afterward will trigger both Superconduct and Quicken am I right? I was wondering, if I can run C2 Nahida in Eula team. Her C2 Def shred + Phys res debuff from Superconduct can really help, plus Nahida herself can still do decent damage from Spread so it's not a team damage loss.
Uhm, this is not really related, but it is still a question about mechanics. Is stamina regeneration put on hold during elemental burst animations, or does it keep going during the animation? If stamina recharges during ult animation, then characters with longer ult animations will give exponentially higher ammount of i-frames...
My way of clearing content is to do the least work. E.g. sprint to the quest location guarded by monsters and click the button before the combat is triggered. Will watch this regardless since someone need some Xianling real bad
Watched first video. Please heart my comment so tomorrow I can check the notification and watch this too instesd of forgetting and just looking around be like "what do I do now on my free time". Much love!
I make the animated, decaying gauge bars for each Element as separate videos, and then overlay them on top of my Genshin clips. I time them to appear on the frames where the Elemental auras are being applied. Each time some of the gauge is consumed, I cut forward to the appropriate point in the gauge clip, based on how much of the gauge was consumed. I repeat this process every time an aura is applied/refreshed or consumed in the Genshin clips.
Okay, I found something weird that doesn't make sense to me. You can double swirl with Chongyun (2U cryo skill) and Xingqiu (1U hydro anything) hydro on a single enemy, but not Ayaka (2U cryo skill) and Xingqiu (1U hydro anything). Ayaka follows the rules in this video, but Chongyun just doesn't, unless I'm missing something.
In this case, Hydro is being used as the trigger Element, NOT the aura Element. After the Freeze reaction occurs, you are simply left with some remainder of Ayaka's 2U Cryo aura, and the new Freeze aura. Nowhere in the process is there a Hydro aura being applied. You must start with a 2U Hydro aura and trigger a Freeze with a 1U Cryo trigger. This is the only way that allows some of the original Hydro aura to remain and coexist with the Freeze aura. Note that Xingqiu's Skill hits two times and doesn't have an ICD, and his floating Rainswords also can apply Hydro. So even though it's documented as a 1U attack, it can actually consume a 2U Cryo aura almost instantly, resulting in just the Freeze aura. It's unexpected to me that Chongyun S > Xingqiu S could set up a double aura. Let me try to figure out what's going on.
@@jyolikearock_ I think you get it wrong here, Frozen can co-exist with Hydro/Cyro in 2 cases: first case is leftover aura as you mentioned, second case is applying Hydro/Cyro on enemy who is already Frozen. Yes, Cyro can co-exist with Frozen. If you apply Hydro on an enemy with Frozen + Cyro, you get Frozen only (if there's no leftover aura). Same thing happens when applying Cyro on enemy with Frozen + Hydro. So I guess what happened is that they got hydro as aura and then cyro as trigger, then applied hydro again.
@@mgr8719 After a bunch of testing, I'm pretty sure you're spot on with this. The reason people don't get double swirls by applying hydro after frozen is because they're applying cryo aura on top of frozen. If you apply hydro aura instead of cryo after frozen, you are able to double swirl, but you need some 2U anemo like Kazuha hold skill to eat through the entire frozen aura and reach the hydro aura. If you apply the 2U hydro before frozen, you're able to double swirl with just 1U anemo, I guess because it swirls hydro first in this case. Thanks for the info!
@@DoctorQcumber You're welcome! Although one thing you wrong here is that Anemo doesnt eat Frozen aura first. It always swirl the Hydro first, then if there's any Anemo gauge left, it will swirl Frozen.
@@mgr8719 yes, I see that you're right, but then I'm not sure why you can't get a double swirl with 1U anemo. Why wouldn't your hydro aura alongside frozen immediately dip below 1U, allowing you to consume it and swirl frozen as well?
