You can also stick a flat head screwdriver in that notch near the Park gear, and it will allow you to change gear with out the car keys. btw, thanks for the video, I'm going to use it to fix one of my switches that fell in
Yes - pop up the wood panel door (where the cup holders are located) there is a black lever in the rear of that pop up. Pull back on that lever to make the whole console slide back. I believe it slides back at least half a foot.
Looks great man, question... if the rx has the factory nav and you wanna install the double din as you did and keep the factory nav on top is that possible??
Great video, I know this is a older video but maybe you'll see this I have the same Lexus non navigation im installing a Radio tomorrow and I have that same dash kit mine comes with the 68 ohm resistor I have gotten mixed answers if I have to wire in this resistor in to the specific pins in the harness with a non navigation system. Did you use this resistor? Will my a/c climate controls work without it? Again Non Nav and Non Mark levison thank you
I got a 05 rx330 and having trouble getting sound. Not sure if I wired the correct cables. Do you have a video explaining how to wire up the aftermarket radio?
Question: I was planning on buying a radio off of eBay to replace the one in my Lexus. Radio works great but my CD is displaying "ERROR 4". I have tried everything to fix this including removing fuses and replacing. Do you know of any way to fix this? If not I guess I'll be installing another stereo myself and thank you for the instruction on how to do this!
Hello. I have some questions for you. Why do we need to connect a resistor when we install redio andrio for some cars? What is the purpose of connecting this resistor? In order for redio andrio to be able to control AC? Is it true? Please explain it and tell me the color of the string and the name of the string. Please show me on the next vedio. Thank you
Why anyone would want to install the aftermarket variants I don’t understand. Call me old fashioned, but the idea of having both the cassette player and the CD player is an amazing concept, and an excellent blend of both the 90s and the 2000s culture. Personally, I would’ve bought the old Stereo off of ya, JP, because I need to get Button 3 to work. On mine, the 3rd button is stuck and won’t push in at all
lol yes that is a good combo but what happens is that the clients are playing music off their phone so there was no need for either the tape or cd player so he wanted to change it. he also wanted GPS navigation.
@@jptheinstallguy You can buy a cassette tape blutooth adapter for about 20$ on amazon. You can listen to music and get gps through blutooth via the cassette player
6-CD changer + cassette deck is truly an awesome setup, especially if you are planning to install an aftermarket flux capacitor and time travel back to 1993. If you live here in the future, though, a nice, big touch screen for viewable GPS maps and easy access to multiple apps without having to mess with your phone + backup camera display is much better. Plus, you don’t have to carry around that big-ass zip-up book with all your CDs and/or cumbersome cassette box so you have a decent selection of music to listen to. I’ve got no nostalgia for any of that.
Damn bro. Probably the greatest car install video I ever seen. Props
You can slide the console back/forward from the lever behind the cupholders broski good video tho

That console slides back.

Is it distracting while using the navigation on the road being that it sits pretty low compared the the regular eye level units?

It should be cause the top should stay the same

The E04 error message may occur when the laser for the CD player is unable to read the disc being played. Jul 23, 2019
Nice.
Was the factory backup camera functionality retained or did you add another backup camera?

Perhaps for the invaluable backup camera feature.
What harness did you use?
