I bought and installed this unit on my 2009 Lexus RX350. Excellent! First, buying experience is as good as it can be - Few hours after I paid I got note that the product was shipped. I got it to days later, and then come what I thought to be the hard part - installing it. Well, I took a deep breath, watched at the video and followed, and about 30 minutes later my phone played music on my radio. This is an EXCELLENT video with real life instructions that fantastically worked for me. Thanks guys, you've got my thumb up and 10 of 10 rank. THANKS! I wish I could find a place for review on your website! You sure deserve all compliments! Few tips - 1. WATCH the 4 screws of the radio ARE hidden and incline to fall and get lost! I placed some scotch tape inside the 10mm socket so the screw stacked in it and I manage not to lose it. 2. When I pushed the radio back the holes of the top 2 crews were not perfectly aligned and the screw would not get in. I used Dremel to create sharp conus at the top of the screw so it could force itself in and till the thread catch. 3. I used zip tie to secure the Bluetooth unit to the volume panel so it want just hang there and make noises. Perfect, THANKS!
Honestly could not be more thrilled with this kit. 2004 Lexus RX 330. I installed in under 30 mins. The style of my door seal and A pillar did not allow me to run the mic that way, but I have a dash cover so I ran it under there and clipped it onto my A/C vent. Very easy great sound for music. Thank you so much, GTA car kits!
@@kimrodgers7809 I did it on my own. Could not have been much easier. I did drop one of the bolts and couldn't retrieve it so the recommendations below to use a magnetic socket on the socket wrench are right on. Everything seems to be solid with just the three bolts though. Good luck!
Video was clear and indispensable. Watch the other one too, for the "AUX and iphone kit Lexus 2004-2009" - this shows you the location of the hidden 10mm bolts. Instead of a magnet, i used some sticky tack putty that is meant to hang posters. shoved a big glob in the ratchet and the bolt stuck no problem. Did this to remove and replace. Worked great and left no residue in the socket. Bluetooth kit works great too!
Just installed this kit into a 2007 RX350 and everything went perfect. Careful of those 2 hidden screws - they fall down and you'll need a magnetic reach tool. The phone audio seemed to over-modulate kind of loud but it might be the caller's mic and not the unit. Otherwise really nice kit.
Helped me a lot. Thanks. Just a remark: be careful not to let the screws fall down. It is not easy do dismount the lower part of the console to look for them and pull them out. Use a socket wrench with a strong magnet to unscrew all the four screws.
Just installed the kit using this video. It really is as easy as it looks! A few things: 1. I don’t have Navi, but I still had to use the Y adapter cables. Not sure why but it worked. 2. Also I was extremely lucky that there were only the 2 easy to reach bolts. They didn’t screw in any in the hard to reach location, which made it less of a pain. No idea how I would have gotten them back in there, but clearly they’re not necessary! (at least in my 2007 model.) 3. I couldn’t easily remove the rubber on the door so I just used the tools to get the microphone wire to slide in the rubber without removing it. Worked really well! 4. I used Velcro to adhere the Bluetooth device in space I found behind the hazard lights button. Again I have a 2007 w/out Navi but it’s secured up there so there is no movement and allowed me to easily clip the radio back in.
Thanks for the great tutorial- installed pure Bluetooth on rx3502008 with great results but for a cleaner install I attached the microphone on top of the rear view mirror using double adhesive strip making the system like factory installed. Yes the screws can fall fall out especially if socket is a little loose and I also used a magnetic stick- available anywhere but I always get low cost yet effective things at Harbor Freight
i have a similiar BT Kit but not GTA brand and did the installation process in less than 30 mins with the exception of idiotically dropping one of the screws that fell off the floor on the inside.. just make sure you have some sort of stick magnet handy in any event this happens COZ IT will and CAN happen lol.. but other than that.. it was a pretty seamless process. Thanks for the video!
Excellent product and fast shipping to Edmonton Alberta. I was looking for a Bluetooth and I came across GTA car kits and I’m glad I found this product. Easy to follow video is done excellent. I just start the car and my iPhone connects right away. Money well spent. Thanks GTA car kits for this awesome product
nice video however I would appreciate your ideas to secure the module and wires along with placement behind the radio. I assume the module can be secured with velcro and attached to what?
Did anyone do this to their Lexus since this video was made? Any issues? How do bluetooth phone calls, while driving, sound to callers? Clear? Road noise cancelation? Echo to callers?
Does this completely eliminate the Lexus Bluetooth for the phone or will that feature still work? The existing phone integration works great and don’t really want to lose it.
I also have the same question. I already have Bluetooth that works with my phone (but not my music). Can i skip wiring the mic through the A pillar? I suppose I'd need to toggle between Bluetooth connections for that to work... Is there any way to just connect the mic that the car is already using, to the new Bluetooth module? I have no idea where it is, but it works just fine, and isn't visible, like in this example.
I’ll answer this. Basically your connected to two Bluetooth so when you get phone call it goes to the Lexus oem Bluetooth and when you hang up it switched back to the gta Bluetooth
@@dineshe3719 obviously my question was old. I installed the system and it worked just as you described. I wish I wouldn’t have installed it though. Should have just paid the money and bought a new stereo.
@@dineshe3719 one of the issues is that it never remembers the song you were listening to. You get out of the vehicle and come back and it’s starts playing the song then suddenly goes to a random playlist or the very first song in your library, every time. So you end up hearing the same stuff over and over and it tends to pick the “most played” play list which of course is the songs it keeps reverting to. You also can’t control anything from the stereo. If you try and skip a song it will go to the next song and then stop playing music after it ends. It basically acts like you only wanted to listen to that next song it quits the shuffle or album you started. That’s just a couple issues. Connection wise the Bluetooth works well.
Just on the 4 screws to take the radio out and have lost 2 sockets down there!!!! How many 10mm sockets do I need to buy??? How can I keep them on there so they don’t fall off? I’m a girl and not used to this stuff but they made it look so easy. Ugh.
good video. nice device. easy to install. i bought the device before i got the vehicle shipped to me. works awesomely.i used cable ties to secure wires neatly.
I'm able to use both, the Lexus bluetooth for the car phone and GTA car kit bluetooth for music. After you've paired the GTA kit go In your settings for GTA and there's 2 toggle for use. Turn off call audio, and keep media audio on. I preferred the Lexus bluetooth to make calls. That way when you have multiple devices you can use the one you desire and for what purpose. It work for my Samsung galaxy note 5.
My car has the rear entertainment + NAV.. and to access to rear DVD to front LCD display screen i need to press twice just exactly same as to access your device.. in this case... do you think my car still able to use your bluetooth kits along with the rest of all my existing features?
Hi Jeffery, my RX has the same systems as yours..... Did you ever get this installed? Did it work or cause issues with the entertainment system in the back?
We just added this to our ‘06 rx400h and it works great for me to play music but we only have 2 issues: 1. Siri and phone calls are over modulated, like it is sending too high a signal for some reason, even though music sounds great. 2. I can’t connect my wife’s iPhone, it is like it is not discoverable now that I’ve paired it with my phone. Can we both pair it even if we only have one connected at a time?
Just installed on 2004 RX and music sounds great but incoming call quality sounds grainy using iPhone. Anyone else experience this? Ideas on how to improve?
What if you are listening to your car's AM or FM radio and you receive a call? Will you hear it and you have to switch over to CD1 (bluetooth) to then answer?

08 RX350 does come With BT for calls, does anyone know ifis it possible to install this kit for streaming music only since the vehicle is factory equipped for BT phone calls
Is it necessary to wire through the side pillar and under dash if the car is already set up to make phone calls? My car won't allow for Bluetooth connection to play music; it only does phone calls. Would I need a different kit?
Hi, the stock microphone will only work with stock radio. If you want to use our kit both for music and phone calls then you need to wire the mic. Thank you.
