I enjoy checking out your videos. I tried a couple of pans this afternoon at a spot I found in Lancaster County. I'm quite the beginner at this. But I've practiced at three different spots now, so I think I've got the method right. Each pan had some decent black sand at the bottom. But all I was finding was mica flakes lol This spot has a decent current so I wanna try out my sluice box there next time. I work at a sheet metal shop and made my own out of 18ga stainless steel. I cut a piece of stainless mesh to set inside it, with a mat in between. One of these days I'm gonna get lucky and find something!

Can run thows peaces of quartz over your gold monster to see if they have any gold in them.or collect up a bucket of the really minimized stuff n take it home.crush it down n see if there's a lot of fine gold.i get an extra 2 grams most of the time by doing that.

Black sand is an indication that there can be gold in the Stream so whenever you find black sand because it is heavier it will subtle in certain spots so when you find it if there is gold which is a little heavier than the black sand you know you're on to something
