Something interesting I learnt recently was that, electric kettles are rare in America. In fact I watched videos of some Americans being shown kettles and not knowing what they were 🤣 … but that’s because American standard voltages in their homes is very low to boil a kettle, or if does it takes very long to boil, something like 20 min or so, so electricity consumption wise not worth it apparently, so they use stove top kettles or boil water in pots or use a microwave. I was shooketh when I learnt this, but very interesting.
