Woooow! I never knew that Ohira did that scene on Redline (Because Koike is a crazy animator himself) and I knew he did animate in Akira but went uncredited (I thought it was Tetsuo's crazy transformation though haha) Amazing job again! Thanks a lot!
Man, this guy has an unique style, the animation scenes in Kill Bill were the best! You should put the O-Ren Ishi scenes in the next MAD :D I will search a little bit more for this guy ;)

every frame is crawling with life and feeling as well as exquisitely composed. I personally get more out of art that expresses the feeling and ideas more than how technically accurate or "pretty" a drawing is. I'm not trying to argue with you just explain why I like his work

Not a single frame goes by where there isn't anything interesting happening. The mans a master of surrealist imagery.

This is true animation. You can feel the character's feelings and thoughts through camera rotation and his gestures.
I love his work on Momo e no Tegami, love how it contrast with the super-realistic footage from Okiura.
